THE 1st PMC COAST RUN!

Situated just 7-Miles from one coast and 16-miles from another coast, with Exmoor and Dartmoor both well within cross country distance, this venue may well just be the best flying site the PMC has had an event at, and one not to be missed.

There will be fresh local pasties of varying sort (of course) And the normal food van type food.

As always, we will have a heated beer tent (bar provided by PMC again)

The fire pit will be lit 24-hours a day.

The music will be played at a social volume at social times of the day.

Dogs are welcome, children are welcome.

It might be a long way to travel for some; But it will likely be the best flying you have ever done, in a spectacular location and well worth the journey.

It wasn’t a complete washout. Well.. ok maybe it was 😂

we were staying until Monday but our van was playing up and made us almost immobile which wasn’t so good in the downpour so we called it this morning.

Giles flew twice which was good to see. Far too windy for me though.

Good evening around the fire on Friday. Had a 7.5 miles walk yesterday because the van wouldn’t work then the downpour from 3pm all through the night finished it for us. The van worked this morning. We were last to leave the field and had a day in Looe (we decided we want to live there) followed by a picnic on Bodmin moor and just got home. Still managed to make a nice weekend of it😁

Having seen some scenery today I really hope there’s an opportunity for a fly-in there next year.

    • Switched from a lighter Black Devil to a heavier Thor 303. Tank is full to it's maximum capacity ( 11L ) . Motor is mounted as near as possibile to my back. Despite I'm heavy, about 95kg, I needed to move all back my hang point. Unable to move them more back because there's no more holes on swing arms. And hang points are already very near to my chest. Still leaning too back for me. I'm worried about leaving harness during landing and twist due increased leaning plus increased motor torque. Unfortunately I'm unable to find my previous tests with Black Devil to compare, I remember that I had more reclination when tank was full, but I don't remember how much or if this much. But sure I was more straight, about 10°, maybe 5° or 0° when pressing to accelerator. Anyway I never fly with full tank, but in case this would me my position. p.s. added also some standing pictures for referenceWhat I've tried: - Loosing straps between harness and frame, didn't helped; - Move back even more hang point on an "illegal" position. Changed of about 1-3°, but still leaning, after I saw pictures I found that the position of swift arm is vertical, so adding a hole or using a "strap" connection wouldn't help. Actually I have no more ideas. I can try to shorten more swing arms but would result in a very near position to my shoulders. Anyway will require a drill or a custom swing arm. Original: 1 2 Measured: 3 Standing: 4 5 6 Here's holes to shorten arms, already used last. 7 Here's "Illegal" position: 8 Here's the result of the "Illegal" position: 9 Here's vertical position of the arm, adding a hole will just move lower hang point: 10
    • I just turn it on and then when you plug it in the light will go slightly brighter showing a positive charge. The batteries can be changed but best to send them back to Eddie to get that done.  Adjustment wise.... if they are clipped in as far as possible you can slightly bend the metal arms for a better fit.  SW
    • Good evening all,  Ive got a couple of questions about the microavionics pm100 radio.... being a newbie!  Is there a way to tell if its charging when plugged in apart from it getting warm? Is the battery replaceable?  Is there any adjustment to make it fit my head better? Feels like it let's in alot of external noise.   Thankyou!
