  2. @easttowestyorkshireparamot Will be able to help you SW
  3. Hi Matt, Please feel free to give me a call for a chat 07983 428 453. 127KG is not impossible for sure. website: www.paramotortraining.com SW
  4. Assuming desktop... Log in, little arrow next to your name (top right of the screen).... account settings, then left hand side list at the bottom SW
  5. You just have to keep an eye on which way the sparrows are flying the evening before a full moon in relation to the cosmic waves. Simply time the flap of 100 birds, work out the average BPM, multiply that by the number of waves per meter per second, then divide that by 365. Depending on the month you would like, multiply the number you have by the number of that month. You will end up with your date. Then prey to the weather gods and hope for the best!!! (this way is 12.6% more accurate than the UK forecast ever is!!) SW
  6. We all know you mean shoes and make-up mate. No one will judge you and it's just better to be honest with yourself. We are an equal opportunities website. SW
  7. We don't (currently) offer a life insurance policy so in the interest of trying to keep it clean I kept it to 3rd party related content. If / when we can offer a life policy I will make sure that this is very clear. SW
  8. My comment was less about the certification as such... As pilots we can only buy and fly what exists. If there was a problem which was caused by the wing it's self then the wing rating comes in to play and that would be for the insurers to fight out. One thing is almost certain though... if you were to have an accident on a wing which the manufacturers clearly state a weight range on and you are outside of that bracket, it would invalidate a claim ( I have checked with my life insurance in the past ). The difference being, you made a decision to fly a wing which the people who made it told you not too. Same applies if you are not wearing a certified (for it's use) helmet which is a real pain in the arse. Same applies to all aircraft, Plane or heli over or under weight (no insurance for the flight to take place) SW
  9. I guess without knowing the people personally it's a tough question to answer. The main issue if your being taught by friends is that they have no real responsibility for your safety and or level of knowledge. Welcome to the Paramotor Club!! SW
  10. It's also a good idea to stay inside of the manufacturers weight range if you want any life and or 3rd party insurance that you have in place to remain effective. SW
  11. As above, if new you just have to look at the Dudek Universal 1.1 We have a few second hand Synth 2's at the moment if you would like to chat. SW
  12. I live close to the M4. Next time your passing Swindon, either pop to the house or airfield (weather depending) I have two Zenith 80's and a 2 mavericks (the EOS 100 & the Moster) You are more than welcome to come and try them on your back to see how it feels on the leg. buzz me to arrange on 07983 428 453 SW
  13. As someone who came from being a lifestyle biker for about 15-years, and someone who enjoys filming and flying... This remains my number 1 video to date. Some amazing shots, flying and riding!! What's not to love about that SW
  14. I am not sure that my post has come across as intended.... ????? I am not suggesting for a second that a RAD is comparable to the Maverick. This is a post about Paramotors in general and how they have headed towards big engines, and loads of power rather than lighter and enough power. I used the RAD and the Mav as an example because it is my personal situation. SW
  15. Truth is, I don't know what props were on which motors and that is a very valid point. SW
  16. Try a 22 hp 130 polini side by side with the nitro 200 and you will notice little to no difference in thrust. SW
  17. For sure, more weight = more power needed. Engines like the EOS 150 (coming soon) will be perfect for that job (weighs 1KG more than the 100) SW
  18. A funny thing... Around 13-years ago my first Paramotor was a RAD which weighed 19kg ready to fly. 13-years on, I take delivery of my new Maverick EOS 100, which weighs 19KG ready to fly. Have things actually moved on that much or have we just popped out of the 'LOADS OF POWER LOADS OF WEIGHT' phase that seems to have plagued the light weight development of the sport for the last 10-years or so?? I do hope so as the vast majority of people are currently flying machines with more power than is needed and more weight as a result. I think the newer developments with the Nitro and the Maverick with the lighter engines are the way forward and hope that the manufacturers are starting to focus more on this in the coming years. Bring on the next flyable window!!!! (it will be my fault that it's crappy weather now for a few days of course!) lol If anyone would like to come and have a look at the new EOS Maverick, (flying is a possibility if you know what your doing) this can be arranged at Membury Airfield near Swindon. (Please call to arrange) 07983 428 453 SW
  19. I would go for the 200 engine if I were you. ( actually has the power of most 130's ) SW
  20. All, The dates for the PMC Summer Fly-in have been confirmed as: FRIDAY THE 13th, 14th & 15th July. Yes, it's Friday the 13th and it's at 'World's End' again!! what could possibly go wrong LOLOL We have the same amazing site as last time (but the even bigger field on the Right hand side of the track) for those who went in 2017. Below are two pics: The first is a 3" shell (the largest firework that we used at the 2017 event) the second is a 6" shell. Of which we have a large box!! The tube to fire the large shells needs to be dug 1 Meter into the ground!!! lololol As always there is a simple process to RSVP to the event. Log in, go to the event page (link below) and click the 'Going' button at the top right of the screen. event link: SW
