  1. There are at least a couple of people on the island that fly Paramotors as we have taught them let me dig out details and see if it’s OK to share contact info SW
  2. Hi, Ground handling during the gaps will keep your hand in but... Long gaps shorty after starting to fly can be detrimental to your confidence levels. If your a nice bloke, I am sure you will be able to beg / borrow a set of kit occasionally from someone local until you can afford to buy yourself. SW
  3. Compared to the V1 Marco I am certain your going to love it!!! SW
  4. Welcome to the Paramotor Club! Check out the members map (you need to be logged in) https://www.paramotorclub.org/membermap/ You can click on a name and contact that person via the map For sure though it should be simple enough for you to find a friendly farmer in that area though If you want to talk airspace, you do have a couple of interesting things in the area so would be dependant on where you live ( add your info to the members map while your there ) SW

    fuel

Depending on the quality of the oil you have mixed with the petrol, it can last for months. The EOS is a tiny bit funky to start, so if your having starting issues... it's probably not the fuel its self. Welcome to the Paramotor Club! SW
  6. I spoke to a guy last week who was in the same situation waiting for paid for parts. I don't know the people from Bailey so I can't help other than to say, it's not just you so don't take it personally. SW
  7. Hi Garth, and welcome to the Paramotor Club I am afraid that I can't help you with regards to recommended instructors in Germany and I am sure that you would have already found this link which will help. https://www.dhv.de/db1/source/addressessearchpage.php?lang=EN&addressestype=school Please do keep us up to speed with your progress Again, welcome. SW
  8. Here is to us all having an awesome 2018!!! See you all at the 2018 Fly-in's!!! SW
  9. That sounds a little concerning. Some useful into would be, what motor you are flying, how much you weigh, what size the wing is We 'May' be able to work something out with this info SW
  10. I am just not sure what it is about the Ozone wings, but whenever we see them at the airfield, they do all just seem to oscillate a little during climb out. SW
  11. Welcome to the Paramotor Club I think in the entire UK that there are only 1 or two Bullix trikes. There is one guy somewhere in Scotland who may see this post, and another who is down in Devon and will almost certainly not see this post. Regarding the law, the Bullix trike is also too heavy to fit into the 70KG max weight we are allowed in the UK (the main reason there are only a couple here I guess) Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear. If you wanted to foot launch, I am sure there will be more offers SW
  12. I think most of us with Titanium cages buy our Paramotor or at least a part of it from Russia!! They have got Titanium well and truly sorted in the global marketplace. Russia knows Titanium and many of our cages are made from it SW
  13. Phew....glad it ends well Thanks for sharing. I think had I been flying PPG and ended up in your situation, I would have attempted a landing in the same place as you did. (not sure about the water option!!) Thats always a very very last option in my mind. SW

    Blimey!

So I just went to the Summer fly-in page to check some details and 39 people are already down as attending!!! I think I mentioned it once a few months ago... Thanks all who have. It's going to be bonkers amounts of fun!! SW
  15. Welcome to the Paramotor Club Ben Call if you would like to arrange a visit, you are of course more than welcome my mobile is 07983 428 45three SW
  16. I will edit the post above to mention that he is recovering very well SW
  17. All, here is the video of Connors accident. I had the chance to ask him today if it was OK to share it. Please be considerate when posting in response to this video. 'Constructive' advice is welcome. Connor is well aware that pilot error here was the cause so has been punished enough for that with his injuries. He is recovering very well and has a very positive spirit! SW.
