I have the viper 3 22m2 and I usually fly pretty basic XC style and take a lot of aerial photos from the glider. I usually fly i calm conditions. I have become a bit more lazy and wanted something that fly straight (the viper has a tendency to oscillate some) and was a bit more convenient to take off and land with so I bought a speedster 2 26m2. I don't need to fancy glider from a practical point of view. That was a mistake. I have gotten more used to a smaller glider than I thought. The viper 3 is a very efficient glider so its higher rpm with the larger speedster and it felt more docile than I thought. Nothing wrong with it but I want something different. So I'm a bit curious about the freeride. Somewhere in between viper and speedster sounds like a good idea. But is is an efficient glider, or will I need to use significantly more power compared to a viper 3? Does it oscillate in neutral position? (white stripes) I'm thinking a 19 m2 maybe. Is it easy to get in the air without running too much? My naked weight is about 80 kg. But I'll loose some weight and change to a nitro 200 or something like that so that will do at least 15 kg less weight which should help a lot. Or just put your thoughts about the freeride.

Absolutely love my 26 Spyder, however there is one thing I would like to have incorporated. That is a scale on the trimmer tabs. Now there are basically 3 equal (between left and right) settings, full in, full out and take-off/landing. All the intermediate positions are not marked. Looking at some youtube video's I see some other brands have a scale on the trimtabs. Anyone out there who marked there trimtabs by themselves?

hi! beginner pilot here, fresh out of training. i'm buying my gear (along with my partner, who's at the same skill level as i am) and have settled on the spyder. it hasn't arrived yet, but we've been reading the manual to try and figure out when we want to use tip steering over brakes. the manual says that letting the trims out fully has the same effect as the speedbar. it also says when using the speedbar, you should use tip steering. but it doesn't say, specifically (as far as i can tell), whether that means you should use tip steering when the trims are fully out. any spyder or reflex wing owners here with wisdom?

I flew this wing for a week flying down Malaysia and a couple of time in the UK. I think it can be good to see a point of view about a wing from not a pro pilot. So I made a video review of the FreeRide, I have tried to keep it non comparison to other wings in my review but in the real world, my opinions are based on other wings I have flown which can be different to wings you have flown. So it can be hard. Instead I just went with some minor tests and visual references. watch the video first then I may do a write up on my findings comparisons etc.

Hello! I am currently learning to fly a paramotor. I have been using a paramania gtx for ground handling so far. However to progress further I need to purchase my own wing. I would love to get a paramania revo or gtx styled wing, around 24m. I will be flying using a 100cc engine and I weigh around 11-12 stone. Please feel free to suggested any other appropriate wings. I am on the hunt for something that I will be able to grow into and is not so easy that it will become boring, however similarly I wish to be safe and not thrown in too much at the deep end. Thanks all! PS. I am down in Dorset, UK, so ideally nothing too far away although I am whilling to travel for the right wing.
