  1. Steve he put the wheels in motion before he even got to the beach as he took off in Shoreham ATZ, so the CAA Enforcement Branch were already on the case. I agree it's not the best situation or organization to be involved, but the naming of him may well of gone in favour and credibility for our sport, as agreed by members of the BHPA.
  2. Short and sweet today , last night a tad windy but have to practice as much as possible so yes up ta field i went, only about 45 mins but as very windy reverse launch couple times, then on third go i thought must try this turn around (wahoo) only ferkin did it, but disaster when i tried to turn back , totally my fault didn't turn quick enough to react for wing deviation so oops cobra down on right, then Mr Cocky decided on a forward launch but discovered a valuable lesson, do not try it again if its very windy as it rips your arms off , but i guess if i'd been with my trainer i'm sure he'd explain my downfalls. Just call me Mr Yoyo
  3. Right i can genuinely confirm his details have now been passed over to the CAA, who where already taking necessary steps to apprehend said person because of numerous complaints from more than 1 incident .
  4. Si obviously this is posted on numerous internet forums and has now come to light that this is not his 1st idiotic adventure, but someone has since posted suggesting he knows the person, and that the local authorities would like to know said name with regards to taking further action, so hopefully he should be detained fairly soon so as to stop any further damage to our sport . Most commenting on the new post have encouraged the person's name to be given over to the authorities . And YES i was 1st in line , and yes i'll be at the fly-in if anyone needs clarification of my reasons !!
  5. Pug football or Pas the Pug OK only kidding before i get animal rights campaigners
  6. Tony my friend has a couple of pugs what do we have to check for , if it cannot be put on here tell me at the fly in
  7. Si i know what your thinking and sooner or later somewhere someone is going to put a big legal problem, which is going to affect all paramotorists especially in the UK where it's a self regulated but fairly open book. And likewise a gentle whisper in an ear might help but if they do this sort of antics then possibly deaf ears IMO
  8. Jon may of been the one taking the picture and NOT the pilot ?, it was all over facebook yesterday as a naughty naughty, and his profile shows no Paramotor or similar pictures, so yes send him a message but ??
  9. Have a look at colour of plug that tells you pretty good.
  10. Have you done a compression test with a gauge ?
  11. Rik, any accident in our sport isn't good but people recovering is excellent, lots read but do not comment so its nothing personal (passing care) onwards and upwards and each goal achieved is a step closer GLWR Kiwi.
  12. Hi, welcome aboard Beamers i'm sure somebody will answer you're question soon, probably the knowledgeable ones are f;ying while the good weather permits
  13. Morning Si is this good enough _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
  14. Yes i agree with Si unless there's some health or physical reason for NOT going foot launch, and i cannot see maintenance side being much different as both need machine and equipment checks before flight , but also if you do go trike then several on the market break down into compact bundles. but if your not happy with instructor seek a second opinion from another, or even better go talk to trike powered fliers who will have experience in the process
  15. Stu why did i get out of wrong side of bed ?, and No i'm not editing any of my posts they are what they are
  16. Welcome nice 1st post blunt and straight to the point, let me think about your possible answers , thought about it but going to go for a bowl of popcorn .
  17. Get in touch with http://ukppgwebstore.com/ or http://www.sussexparamotors.co.uk/ both do bailey spares and both UK based
  18. Right yesterday afternoon was a very good Day, wind was a little on the low side but you know hey hoe off i go, wing was still stuffed inside back of car so quick set-up, established wind direction (must get a wind sock) walked across field and tossed out wing, quick wall check lines and down again then clip in for reverse launch , straight up looking good slowly walking back across field then before i knew it, Wahoo i'd only crossed the complete field without a single mishap, but i'd now got a little group of people watching plus a couple girls filming (never seen it before or kiting a wing), So gather it all up and walked back to other side off field, whoosh straight up no problems exactly the same again full width reverse, groundhog day until 3rd go yes straight up but as you do thinking this isn't so hard (whats the fuss) , until i got half way back and took me concentration of the wing just to look round at crowd (BIG mistake), yes you guessed it things rapidly went wrong oops down it comes and flipping over to one side , not sure which lines but pull end c and another end line and i can most times flip half of wing back over , little ferk up feeling a right idiot but onwards i go soon kiting again to finish second half of field, And just because i knew i had too went and done another full length, but thought i'll concentrate this time and made it look easy. Was going to do a reverse launch then twist and forward but thought better as knee not ready yet, there's plenty of time to master this step and progress is being made. So that was it for me and feeling very Happy progress achieved, and then packed up wing properly while talking to a couple of dog walkers, who showed interest which i find encouraging, and me personally if when i go out to G/H every time it becomes second nature, then i know Mikes training is sinking in and i'm learning (BIG head syndrome). That'll be in next couple of days ***** Long this might seem but i committed to do a training blog, and thought it might help the disillusioned who are struggling, so i am trying to cover all steps good or bad happy or sad,*** TTFN
  19. plus 125ml would be 40:1 aqnd Ros manual says 2.5% so thats about right, but are you using mineral or synthetic ?
  20. Paul in the manual page 5 picture of exhaust, when you zoom in to me it looks like a standard ball and socket connection, but in you 1st post in your picture yours look's like is a straight pipe to spigot connection with a gasket, On original the gaskets look like they go head side and not exhaust side. But i have never had any experience with Ros engines, but most paramotor exhausts i thought we're ball and socket meaning no gasket needed just 2 or 3 retaining springs. So maybe your has been modified at sometime or maybe somebody who owns a Ros knows different ?
  21. What % premix you using and how many hours on engine ?
  22. If it's tandem you could pick him up on the way past , but i think dirk is looking for training
