  1. Jock at Malvern i think, i'm sure Si will be a long shortly to say yeh or neh
  2. Bob you should know any Solo 210 questions and i should have the answer
  3. Funny thing you posting up Pete as Geoff round the corner asked me Monday how your engine was progressing, him being an ex engine designer * is very interested to see it finished. * he designed the Hesketh V twin motorcycle engine.
  4. All the info is out there but you have to know where to look , as normally older stuff can be hidden under other other categories , as you see the link is reference to snowmobile carbs
  5. I only know as i got all the paperwork when i bought my Adventure A4 solo 210 engined Paramotor, Plus its all been highlighted in the book and a stick-it note on front of book with carb settings on.
  6. Tom if you unsure look here should be very helpful to you https://www.winderosa.com/Winderosa_Snow_Inst-tilltoson_hr.htm
  7. I'll answer that 1 for you Tom A Tillotson carb sett's are tighten up screws then L = min 1 1/4 -1 1/2, and H = 3/4 - 1 1/4 Hope this helps Kiwi.
  8. Bob weigh all the blades separately to see how much difference, and attach a piece of wire to your cage and use as a pointer guide, turn blades by hand to check for prop run out, blades are mean't to be stored a certain way but you may be lucky and find their Ok.
  9. Yes yes yes Chilly is right patience my student (zzzzzzzzz) i'm bored just tried kiting and ohh dear just a tad windy, same shit different day up up down down down , this ppg lark is getting very repetitive and i think need a little bit more encouragement from master @Chilly , plus copius amounts of right strength wind
  10. I'm sure somebody at the fly in will take a spare seat
  11. asquaddie i'm sure there'll be plenty to watch from the sideline if it doesn't come back in time
  12. morgy yes to EU consumer rights, yes to changing of law since 2009, and if the idiot played around with item when still under guarantee, bloody lucky he got any compensation refund, most firms are very helpful when a problem occurs and not looking for bad customer complaints, as bad publicity is not good at all especially if its a small company.
  13. Parajet are a reliable and well estabilished company and i'm sure they will fix or resolve the problem, but like i said before if it was my motor i would have a totally different view and thats not in a Nasty comment way, Only good side at the minute is the weather is crap so you're not missing much flying . I'll sit down and be silent now on this subject .
  14. Sorry morgy but unless a new law has recently passed its " If you purchased the goods after 1 October 2015 theConsumer Rights Act applies." Repair or replace If you are outside the 30-day right to reject, you have to give the retailer one opportunity to repair or replace any goods or digital content which are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described. You can state your preference, but the retailer can normally choose whichever would be cheapest or easier for it to do. If the attempt at a repair or replacement is unsuccessful, you can then claim a refund or a price reduction if you wish to keep the product. You're entitled to a full or partial refund instead of a repair or replacement if any of the following are true: the cost of the repair or replacement is disproportionate to the value of the goods or digital content a repair or replacement is impossible a repair or replacement would cause you significant inconvenience the repair would take an unreasonably long amount of time. If a repair or replacement is not possible, or the attempt at repair fails, or the first replacement also turns out to be defective, you have a further right to receive a refund of up to 100% of the price you paid, or to reject the goods for a full refund. If you don't want a refund and still want your product repaired or replaced, you have the right to request that the retailer makes further attempts at a repair or replacement. Use our step-by-step guide if you want to ask a retailer to repair or replace something you've bought that subsequently develops a fault.
  15. Stop being soft man you paid honest money and deserve quality product end off, its not fit for purpose and how long before engine gives trouble again ?, and how long is you guarantee extended or not ?, Sorry to be harsh but companies make a profit for a reason to cover such problems !! IMO you know the answer SIMPLES
  16. http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/consumer-rights-act
  17. As for flying yes it would be safe as you'll just glide back down but what does it solve ?, i think you'll find it'll just do it again and again so best shot of this motor and get it replaced, Parajet can then discover what the problem is in case it could be a bearing run problem ?, could prove to be a little recall on some of the Motors but at least they'd know for sure.
  18. IF it was mine i would be talking to Dan (Parajet) and Not asking but telling him, that as he knows there's a problem and it can not be verified what it is, i would want another new motor as its not fit for purpose, and legally all goods sold have to work for a reasonable amount of time, And this is not the case but its your motor so your choice, but have you not already had a spark problem ?, so IMO i think its just the bad apple in the barrel and your probably best getting it swapped.
  19. Bearings normally rumble but if you pull it apart and spin bearing by hand you'll soon now, it sounds like its got a flat spot or the balls could be breaking down and visual inspection is needed
  20. And there's also the problem that the weather's perfect who gets to fly No No you said it was my turn , and like above what if 1 of you is more clumsy than the other ?, could be OK at the beginning but if the expenses accrue due to 1 person i think it'll go sour very rapidly,
  21. After having several attempts at ground handling then realizing yes my brain is not working properly, or i move to slow to react to the wing but No more often or not its just much to windy for a beginner to do kiting, which i have since learnt from Chilly and now must wait learn then practice SIMPLES or will be when my light switch moment kicks in and it becomes second nature to kite easily
  22. sometimes there's name and numbers? stamped or embossed into lower edge of barrel at crankcase end.
  23. Might just be me but looks like a solo 210 engine but very hard with picture size provided
  24. Stop laughing i haven't told you yet , Gradient golden 2 for ground training as i thought price was right, i'm thinking possibly fractionally to big but its only ground handling (right) And now as you all rolling on the floor in stitches, i know what your thinking and if you've read some of my previous posts you'd of already guessed , to those that have yes your right an Adventure A4, now stop there i still know your thoughts but mines ultra reliable easy starting, and yes somehow i'll get the hang of getting into the seat (eventually) , so now i'll duck while you barrage me with countless comments and some insults mixed in for good measure . And my original thinking was the price was right and trash this 1 if must be, then when i do get the hang + skill of flight i can then buy a newer more suited motor
  25. Si i apologize almost 800 views and only three people commented including you , so yes i'm not mentioning this again just delete the whole thread and it never happened. But on another note do you ever look to delete members who have not posted in years ?, why you ask i hear well i was doing a search earlier, and accidently highlighted a person's name in the old post, and then noticed this person had not posted since 2011 , so then wondered if it was something you had considered as i know there's not always unlimited free space on most forums.
