  1. Hi John and Angela, I'm sure most people in our sport are genuine and will keep eyes and ears open and spread the word. But why not stay a while join in some more and introduce yourselves with a little more info, location might help for starters so possibly people local to you will be more vigilant, just saying might help to be more about yourself . Do not be alarmed it is just me i'm sure they'll tell you

    Flywheel

I make my woodruff keys because i can, but you can get all different sizes of egay. And for spares ring http://ukppgwebstore.com/ they keep some spares so might be able to help.
  3. GR002 we've already done that route on Bob thru FB
  4. If it ain't broke don't fix it , IMO if you've been flying it and not experienced any problems, apart from the odd carb adjustments i'd keep with original. If in the near future you start experiencing tuning problems or excessive fuel consumption, then maybe think about upgrading but for now i'd leave alone.
  5. Si how good or bad is the Nemo 2 Moto's please ??
  6. Unless somebody else confirms my findings on this but noticed another wing elsewhere for sale, but also offered as ppg usage when marketed. I know this wing is no longer dealer sold but having noticed a Dudek Nemo 2 Moto on another auction site, curiosity got me and after a little tinternet digging found this out Originally a PG wing " All sizes have already been certified as EN/LTF A paragliders " but they provided a Moto package also which basically changed " standard risers for 'moto' version with trimmers " And this info also provided " On leaving the factory all moto risers are blocked with a special buckle. When it is present, you can't use the trimmers and the paraglider conforms to EN norm. However, if you want to get that additional angle of attack regulation, all you have to do is move the buckle toward black loop which pulls the trimmer in. Be aware though, the paraglider was not certified in any other configuration than "fully closed" position " So looks like the above situation might not be a one off finding. please NOTE if my post is proved misleading or incorrect i'll delete at a later time. with an apology
  7. Yes your right Pete but after that he also designed the V12 which was more powerful and had more success
  8. Well tonight's training was different i must say, a bit inpatient as i wanted to use my new to me stuff sack , so quick look outside and wind blowing well but looked just right for G/H, and that's exactly what i did or should that be tried to , plus i know realize i need to get a windsock to confirm wind direction as it was changeable (note to self make it quick), the more i practice the more i learn about requirements (thank you), Mike has probably told me previously and it's now sunk in, more because of all the info given on the day (so much to cram in) , Right my learning curve has taken a hammering as i was doing something wrong, or so i think until i either see video evidence or somebody points out my error ?, reverses are very repetitive as i think i have that excellent (awaiting Mikes approval) , plus i know at next training lesson we will be maneuvering wing and walking thru cones, but my problem was forwards tonight were absolutely cack, but now having had time to think about my earlier attempts, possibly it could of been over enthusiasm in Not looking up at wing to see where it was, or what or how it was behaving and yes i know the experienced don't need to look, well neither did i last time i tried but there was 100% no wind that day, so maybe that tonight's wind was just a little to much for my experience (or lack of it). And my reverses with turn around's where and still are passable, well non powered ones that is are at present , i even considered on my forwards was or is it my hang point is wrong, or are my arms not out far enough or high enough (argh) yet i know in the past i did them No problems , I know most of you have possibly been here before and probably lost interest, but this is my blog and my experiences of my travel to get trained properly before i go back into the sky under power again
  9. Hann please can you tell me of this wing you speak of sounds just right for me
  10. i got a lovely pair of Karrimors but ferked if i can find me Humour, so i'll have to wait a little longer before i trek 4.5 hrs just for a visit
  11. if your unsure Paul you could try a tandem flight, but hopefully you'll enjoy it and it'll encourage you to join us wannabe biggles
  12. smurff its not the running part i was questioning with Si, but the fact that most of you literally took off then jumped into seats like instantly, i'm not saying its right or wrong (i'm not a trainer) but contradictory to my training, i personally do not have enough experience to know weather conditions to think, right off ground undercarriage up (bad knee's) so it would be better for me
  13. andre did you notice the IF word , and yes i would frown upon financial gains from my death (i have insurance for said problem) all i would want as previously posted , is prevention or cure to hopefully stop another serious mistake from occurring again. Thats all i'm saying on this 1 now as i'm putting away my fishing rod and getting out my Popcorn .
  14. andre most of us are going on the BHPA report findings as thats all we can, how do we know if "someone deliberately" has gone out to sell dangerous goods ?,and your saying lawsuits and shutting people down, but we the individual do Not know all the facts, as to why an inexperienced pilot was flying overweight on a certain wing (dubious certification). IMO possibly Jojo are currently having kittens as to said report and findings, and hopefully more precautionary methods are being taken to prevent further accidents of this nature happening, plus hopefully any other makers of wings rated for dual purpose will be checking their certifications to guarantee ratings are as stated.
  15. If it's the way i Go then be it but my wife will know at least i died doing something i love, and if she chooses to gain money from my accident i will frown at her from above, to many people try to gain financial gain from this type of incident. Its never easy but it ain't bringing me back end of.
  16. Si i noticed a lot of your trainee's jump into the seat fairly quickly after take off on that video, is this something you encourage as i'm always thinking what if i need to feet down again ??
  17. Hodders very good decision to avoid Rape fields big thermals created, and also curious what wing you flying please
  18. If your in such a 'Fly-in' feeling then get planning the Norfolk fly in , you build it and they will come
  19. Hi Paul, IIRC its Dan Burton in your area or was, but i'm sure Si will be along shortly and then get the relevant info to all concerned
  20. grassy only other thing i'll say is i hope you've learnt from your lucky escape , and thank you for open honesty and posting this up, but alas we both know it would of surfaced because of the event it happened at .
  21. This is something we keep repeating on facebook, always start your paramotor on your back end of , after all its a GIANT vertical food mixer and several fitted with hard sharp carbon blades, in most cases limbs normally lost and severe damage
  22. Tom when i first got mine the previous owner said he was having problems with starting, turns out he had put on some new fuel lines including the 1 into the tank, being an Adventure the tank line runs inside a hard plastic pipe, but has a small brass check valve on the end, yes you guessed it he'd fitted it back on the wrong way, so i replaced all fuel lines again and then fitted new primer bulb, as he'd left original 1 on and the rubber was hard as hell, and that solved my running problems. So make sure all flow arrows on check valves are running the right way !!
