This would allow for the weather to get significantly better than it is now and make both events more fun :-) What are peoples thoughts on this?? irm750 Posted May 21, 2014 Share Posted May 21, 2014 Hi Simon My preference would be to keep the fly-in and orienteering day seperate, with the orienteering maybe some time after the fly-in. Will allow you to concentrate your efforts on the fly-in which I imagine will take enough of your time and energy without the additional workload and thought of incorporating the orienteering. It will also keep the fly-in more relaxed and give the pilots more time to socialise with each other and the people they're with. I have to consider the fact that there will be low airtime pilots taking part as well. The Bi-plane guy has no goon for good from Membury (which will make it easier to make this stuff happen I am super sorry for the lack of this event, I only have the normal excuses of being busier than I was expecting in the summer. Guest Posted December 5, 2014 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Dear people who have shown interest in this (and particularly the people who have paid for it already) This week has again been one of those where it was only this morning when the weather changed to be good enough to make this happen!! Is that enough notice for people? I just don't know. What I do know is that it will happen and can happen but it has to work for all involved 5 people good to go for the 6th was a bit of a drop from the list of 20+ at the start. I propose that anyone who has paid and would rather have their money back ( and stay on the interested list ) send me a quick PM so that I can pay a refund to you ) The money people have paid is sat safe and I am of course MORE than happy to refund so please do just ask. I am putting a small events committee together in early Jan to help arrange the fly-in and to organise other PMC events the aim being at least 3 events per season.
