Hello all, I have damaged one of my parajet blades but i have two spare blades from a previous set. Can anyone advise me on how to balance a three blade set or recommend someone who can do it on a quick turn around. I have weighed the blades and on the two remaining ones there is a 10 gram difference between them, i would have thought they should be a lot closer than that. Cheers Alan.

Hello all, I use a fully synthetic oil by exol which is an English company who blend their own. When i found their oil i contacted them and asked if it was on par with tts to which they sent me a reply saying that the additives in both oils after checking the tts oil spreadsheet was. Also when you consider that our engines are hardley high revving compared with two stroke motorcycles, but that said you want to give it the best, i would stick with fully synthetic. The best bit is if you buy their fully synthetic in a 25 litre drum which i did being a Yorkshire man and buy a tap screw for the top myself and others who fly with me can now have a litre of oil for £4, a considerable saving on £12. Hello chap's, I have just emptied my Parajet macro of fuel and put it on a set of Salter bathroom scales and can confirm tommcb6016 weight of 35.5kg. My macro is around three and a half years old and previously had thought it was around the 32kg empty weight. As i normally take off with 10+ litres of fuel (8kg+) my reserve and instruments (4kg) it will put it at 47.5kg+ or in old money 8 stone. Heavier than i thought. Alan.

Hello, The tip steering gives you a flatter turn than the main brakes and i would not think you could over egg it. I use my tip steering when in reflex going cross country but like you say if you can weight shift use this.

Just get Fabregas to spit on it (ouch) lol.

Cheers Dave I must say i have been really impressed with my Parajet albeit a bit thirsty on fuel but what the hell it gives the government more money to throw at work shy shits and other undesirables but i digress if only more English people were not so liberal, there is an election on. Anyway Mike i had a synthesis wing before i bought the fusion it was a 34, loved it and personally i preferred the tip steering on the Synthesis, but the fusion comes up trumps for forward launching and handling very manoeuvrable in full slow you certainly notice the difference in brake pressure Mike, cheers Alan.

Hello Jock, I got into trouble the last time i commented on a g6 lol we have got one at our club but it has not flown yet, its the 100cc one.

I would not be worried about the time it took to open Pete I would be more worried that it appears to have eaten his main wing therefore a costly exercise?.

Hello Alan, Yes my motor had been adjusted on a visit to Parajet for an alteration on a pulley and when i flew it i was not getting full throttle in the air so i put it back to factory settings on that flight which makes it run slightly rich, and as i have got today off i will be tinkering with it.

I must admit I have pondered this when flying xc but i always put it into full reflex because you are covering the ground more quickly. On Saturday I flew to Flamborough on the east coast when I took off i stayed on the Paramotor circuit at the airfield until the other two paramotorists were airborne approximately 25 minutes on the way back i ran out of fuel and out landed and just before i did i put it back to full slow and i came to what seemed like a standstill. I was at about 2000ft when the fuel ran out and managed to catch a nice thermal which gave me plenty of time to work out the wind direction and made for a nice landing. So my theory is although you burn more fuel on reflex you are also covering the ground a lot faster so this maybe compensates for the loss of glide ratio although i would love to know the proper workings for it. Incidentally on 10.5 to11 litres of fuel i covered just over 50 miles with an average speed of 27mph with no speedbar.

Dont worry as soon as you squeeze that throttle and your airborne all the weights gone.
