  2. Hello Freeflyernz, I fly a flymecc carbon 100 lc that has the sky 100 water cooled engine and i weigh 10kg more than you and it has plenty of power to get me airborne. Mine is a triple prop at 1250mm and rated at 60kg thrust hope this helps Alan.
  3. Hello chaps, Does anyone have a starter motor for a Parajet dead or alive mine has developed a problem and Parajet have not got any in stock. Just the bendix part would do cheers Alan.
  4. Simon, Are you sure you have the options above correct because they all mean yes where i come from so its a yes from me but you have to promise to bring those risers for my fusion please otherwise i will load my camper van with polythene and milk cartons and the trees will suffer . Please dont make me do it cheers Alan.
  5. Thanks Gary I have also adapted a go pro mount after you had recommend previosly I hope they get a solution out for the temperature problem the new lining up tool on the main screen is mint cheers Alan.
  6. Hello Pete, The listings gone have you another link please, Alan.
  7. Spot on Mark ive done a lot of flying over the break and i have also got a head cam for christmas the atc9k but it has been turning itself off during flights. I have just downloaded the latest firmware for it so i am hoping it is alright now cheers Alan.
  8. Hi Steve, Was you using a go pro as we were doing the same in a field at Cottingham and my atc9k head cam cut out at -7 not as extreme as it is made out to be ha ha.
  9. Hello All, Two more flights on the Flymecc carbon totalling 1hr 45mins and it just gets better using only 6 litres and this was in sinking air flew round the humber bridge and into freezing fog or very cold mist . Garyfreefly i used the atc9k which turned itself off obviously too cold for it have you had this happen to yours. Also the way the cage packs up is superb and Mark your way of putting the cage together is spot on and you can leave the prop off and warm the engine up at the same time.
  10. Spot on Gary we are going tomorrow loved Snowdonia when we were there earlier this year
  11. Cobra, You wanted to know if you could build it in the dark well, look on youtube theres a video on there and it brings a whole new meaning to the term its grim up north lol. Mark, I recommend some higher wattage light bulbs ha ha I noticed the way you put it together is different to the factory video and quicker so i will give that one a go on boxing day hopefully cheers Alan.
  12. I actually like his opinionistic views and coming from a long line of argumentative prats I would love to get stuck into him cheers Alan.
  13. keep them coming Alan very impressive always enjoy your posts cheers Alan.
  14. Hello Cobra, I always power launch on forwards and i did ask about that at the stand when we where in France, on the video i power launched it. The cage is very rigid and i actually love the the way it packs into a bag this makes it fantastic for transport. Assembly and dis-assembly does not take that long its like anything the more you do it the faster you get. I must admit when i saw the video i thought the same as you and he does look a bit nervous maybe camera shy?. Simon, not a clue on that maybe a question for flymecc. Neil i notice you fly a macro i loved mine but when we went to the alps i had to do a bit of hill walking with it and it was not easy. The Flymecc full of fuel roughly weighs the same as the macro empty and this was a big factor in my decision to get one and also the stability of the engine temperature due to the water cooling. Only time will tell if i made the right decision but 3 flights in and all is well there is (and more than i thought) plenty of power the fuel consumption is better than i thought it would be oh and not having to hold the machine when warming it up is a bonus. Out of interest Neil how much fuel is your macro using mine averaged around 5 to 5.5 litres an hour my mates was less at 4.5 but he weighs less than me cheers Alan.
  15. Hello, The sky 100 lc is in my flymecc carbon paramotor and although i have only flown it three times so far it certainly has plenty of power. It starts very easily and with its water cooling idles smoothly, got to say the engineering and construction look first class but time will tell my previous motor was a Parajet macro which was also first class i flew that one for over 100 hours so by the end of next year i am hoping to have flown the Flymecc as much cheers Alan.
  16. Crikey, Ive opened a can of worms here and i would like to say that if the carbon frame would loose its integrity if man handled or knocked what the hell are we doing flying with carbon propellers. I would hate to think that if i knocked my carbon blades or dropped them they would have invisible fractures in them and could shatter whilst in flight. But to answer your claim that was the first question i put to the test pilot at their stand and the answer was emphatically" you will have to fly it into the ground to stand any chance of breaking the frame". I dont know of a paramotor that has a frame that could withstand that and also for me to give up my Parajet macro was a decision not taken lightly or without great thought. So for now i will keep you aware of any issues i have with the paramotor and fingers crossed it will be as reliable and durable as my beloved Parajet was, and if the backup service is half as good as Parajets is i will be happy cheers Alan.
  17. Hello Clive, I wish the weather was like that now only cold days now for a while. I thought you had a 200 did you swap for a pa?. Cheers Alan.
  18. Hello skyhog, Yes it is Yorkshire paramotors his name is Mark this is who i bought mine through he was the chap who went to Italy to test fly them.
  19. They start at £4000 for the entry level rising to £4500 for the top spec one we got a good deal with us ordering 3 units cheers Alan.
  20. Hello all, so glad we are back on line those gay chat rooms do get a bit boring after a while, anyway i have purchased a brand new paramotor the Flymecc carbon liquid cooled. We saw these in France at a show and after lengthy chats with the makers and a visit to the factory in Italy by my friend to test fly one three of us purchased them. Now after flying my Parajet Macro over a hundred times and liking it i was concerned about the power but i had know need as the Flymecc got my 15 and a half stone in the air no problem. The fuel consumption appears to be great my Macro would average between 4.5 to 6 litres depending on trim settings whilst the Flymecc is as low as 2.5 to 3.5 and thats with a double oil mixture at the moment. The best features have to be the weight of it at 26kgs and the way the cage breaks down into a bow and arrow case and the look of the machine. It also has a rev counter/hour meter and fuel gauge built into the throttle. I have flown it three times so far totalling 3.5 hours so i will keep you posted on any further news heres a video link to me flying it cheers Alan. [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]
  21. I bought the Garmin 96c off ebay for £175 second hand and it is very good.
  22. Aquatix " colloquialism" two shreddies for breakfast?
  23. sorry to hear about that Gary so what motor next, I can still recommend my trusty Parajet macro and before anyone else mentions it YES I KNOW ITS HEAVY but it runs great although on a recent trip to the coupe icaire in France I nearly passed out walking up a hill with mine. Will you go back to a ros 125? all the best Alan.
