  1. To all Hull aero club paramotorists myself and Mark are planning to fly from Leven airfield skirt around Kingston upon Hull and over the Humber and back. The flight will be approximately 40 miles and around 2 and a half hours in duration and personally i will be necking mt fuel tank to the maximum 14 litres anybody interested in coming let me know asap as Friday 11th is looking good. Fingers crossed for the weather.
  2. Well I suppose she could have her mouth otherwise "occupied" but you can't beat a screamer or so I am told. I liken a girl to a carpet, lay it right the first time and you can walk all over it for years, I hope my wife does not read my posts. And if any ladies read these comments I am only joking. (my wife is glaring at me now so I am off).
  3. Nice one Mark don't worry our planned flight over the Humber bridge will happen in the next flying window although the projected weather forecast does not look good. It seems ages since we flew down the east coast although it was only two weeks ago i am listening to Hull city on the wireless and they where 3-0 up at half time and all i could think about was flying now its looking a bit grim as Everton have pulled two goals back, almost as grim as the weather, anyway my Christmas wish list is a large breasted girlie who says your the greatest, would be nice.
  4. Hello Sultan, Just watched your video looks good i noticed one of you is flying a Parajet what wings are you flying cheers Alan.
  5. Hello Fanman, I normally take off with 12 litres of fuel aiming for a 2 hour plus flight i have kept a record of fuel consumption which varies greatly depending on the amount of climbing i do. I find taking off with 12 litres even on a nil wind day no problem now and even though i do not burn all of it i would rather have it in reserve than not enough. Alan.

    Warning

Dave how ironic i went to a mobile ice cream seller and ordered a 99 large of coarse, and the lady who was serving asked me if i wanted crushed nuts certainly not how would you like being swung by your tits i replied.
  7. Togsie that is called discount us Yorkshire men love that infact if you look up the definition of a Yorkshire man in a dictionary it reads : a Scottish person with all the generosity taken out. Nowt wrong with a bit of discount lol.
  8. Yes variety is the spice of life Simon you ask my wife (Oh dear).
  9. Hello Dave, I have a front reserve with built in flight deck and find it works well but i must admit when i first started to use it I found it a bit annoying dangling in front of me. I would of thought it to be a little to heavy to mount on one side as it probably weighs in the region of 4 kilos in the container. One thing I have found handy is an aluminium fold up platform that stands about two feet tall I use this to stand my paramotor on and i sit on it whilst i buckle myself in and i always fasten my leg straps first followed by chest and reserve last plus you don't have to sit on the wet ground hope this helps,Alan.
  10. Well my take on this is it could have been re-worded and read something like this ; I bought a Walkerjet paramotor that has since gone faulty and all my efforts to resolve this issue has proved fruitless i am now considering (dropping a dead cow on the owners head as i live close to an abattoir and they are readily available preferably a diseased one that was unfit for human consumption this post did start off seriously but this is the light hearted bit i digress) legal action as a last resort. So subsequently any one thinking of buying one of these paramotors please think twice as there customer service is not what it is beefed up to be and there are udder paramotors out there where you wont be on a hiding to none it just gets worst, sorry this is what drinking rum does to you. But seriously just a bit of tweeking and the post would not have overstepped the mark for both parties.
  11. I would like to thank Markus And Jim at Parajet for their help in diagnosing a problem with my Parajet Macro This problem had occurred when i tripped over a kicking strap that i had fitted to my paramotor to make it easier to get into my seat. The subsequent tumble caused the engine backplate to bend which moved the propeller closer to the bottom of the frame and when i flew last Thursday i wiggled myself into the seat the propeller touched the bottom of the frame. Not realising the backplate had been bent i phoned Parajet up told them what had happened and they where only to happy for me to bring my motor in and inspect it. Not only did they inspect it they than fixed it and went over the rest of it and even fixed my cruise control all at no cost. All this was carried out by Markus and in the mean time Jim gave me a tour of the workshop and the new Rotron engines which do look impressive. My point is that i was made so welcome the customer service is truly second to none its an English company where you can go and collect your parts have your paramotor fixed instantly no waiting for parts to come from abroad so anyone thinking of buying a new paramotor think about Parajet. All the above and i bought my Parajet second hand and they knew that, what a service.
  12. Cheers Simon, looks like i will have to lose 10kg before April next year as i have booked a siv coarse, strange though that my mate has had a leaflet sent saying 115kg. But less fat has to be good you do take the wings weight into the equation when calculating the all up weight I presume? because if you do it puts me at 98kg me, 9kg the wing, 6kg harness, 4kg reserve, total 117kg.
  13. Can anyone clear up a contradiction on the fusion 29 all up weight for paragliding as the downloaded manual that did not come with the wing states 105kg but prior to this i had seen paperwork stating 115kg. Also a friend of mine is thinking of buying one and he has had a brochure sent from UKPPG with the 115kg weight on it. I hope the 115kg is correct or i will not be eating for a month or two cheers Alan.
  14. I also thought I was down to 95 kgs but old porkers is still 100. More cycling miles required ! Dave hard men dont diet.
  15. Norman i can not wait for winter{but not as i remember it, mainly mild now) i flew more hours over that period than i have this summer, if one needs any proof of global warming our four seasons have turned into two seasons as summer as i remembered it does not exist now. I like the picture as it would suit someone with looks like mine.
  16. Snap, i am really cheesed off i also knocked the sump off my multipla a few weeks ago whilst paragliding. Well leave it at the launch site Then. You must have a bloody big wing to carry that weight Nice one Pete left myself wide open to that one lol thought i would possibly emulate Giles, but with the ugliest car instead.

  18. Like it you southern softie us northern monkeys can handle the rigours of polar conditions knowing the wife has smoked me a kipper for supper and fed the whippet and kept the ten foot clear now go and cry into your pint of pimms whilst studying your large mortgage deficit lol, Alan.
  19. I fly from a local airfield so i have to radio in for take off and again to get clearance to land this may sound as though its a bit of a pain but i have never known any different. The radio i use is a standard vertex 150 which operates from 108 to 137, three of my colleagues use a vertex 220 which is available on ebay for about £130 hope this helps, Alan.
  20. Put me down for this one Dell/Dave, Rodney. can you repair the wing tips on the macro props? or reform them? make them?.

    Weather

Got to agree shaggy you get better flying days in winter but on a bright note i am off to Montenegro next month thermalling so i hope to get better weather than here.
  22. Simon we don't have to speak the language just pull confused faces and sulk with shrugged shoulders, that should get us by.
