  2. This might be a wild stab in the dark but.... It looks to me like the bearing behind the clutch bell is not seated correctly, push that in another 4mm (by the looks of it) and all your spacing worries will be over Colin B
  3. Dude, Flea bay is full of em, Just type in exhaust spring and the spring length and you will find loads. Admittedly the gunge wont come with it unless you ask for the Nicola Roberts version Failing that get the total length of one of your good springs, and I may have a new one here. Colin B

Hi Terry, I`m watching this post very carefully As same same issue with my motor I have noticed that if I let the motor idle for a few Min's and then nail the throttle, I have full power again for a while before the revs start to drop off again. Out of interest what plug are you using? I have a NGK BR9ES currently filling the hole, which is possibly a little cold. The US corsair site recommended Spark plug types: NGK B8ES (for normal or hot climate) and NGK B7ES for cold climate, might just make a difference . Colin B
  5. Hi tom. As long as the motor is suitably restrained and your number plate is showing and properly lit, It looks fine for the task. So excluding the feds stopping you every 5 miles, for a routine check with accompanying 14 day document producers (just cos they wanted to know what it is.) You should be fine I would even be tempted to remove the drive belt and fit the prop for added effect Colin B

  9. Hi simon. I Can answer for Fuel9m. He did indeed sell it on Ebay in the end, Only know cos I spotted it for a mate and he grabbed it for a bargain price. It`s still sitting in his garrage waiting for the right moment to take to the skys. Colin B

  11. The weight of the engine complete with reduction drive is only 8,1 kg (without battery and exhaust)The engine is delivered complete with carburettor, exhaust system, reductiondrive and user manual. Errrrrr thats it then....... and yes you are mad Colin B

  14. Hi Simon, Thanks for posting. you have just saved me grands worth of possible engine trouble... As I`m looking at possible replacements for my old vittorazi unit that died again at the weekend. I dont know how many hours your unit has, But have you tried re-packing the silencer?. Did this to mine few weeks ago and it totaly renewed the power output back to original. Colin B

I crew for a local balloon pilot. and can verify that when inflating, the burners give off an eyebrow melting amount of heat. 2-3 MW of heat or 7 - 10 million BTUs per hour per burner (according to wikipedia) so anywhere slightly down wind or above the balloon area will have some very nasty thermal activity at low level. Stay well clear until they are airborne. And dont fly over the top.. Thats just plain asking for trouble. or a hell of a lot of lift. Colin B
  17. Hi I see its your first post.. we`re not ignoring you. Just probably don't know the wing.. Dare say though, my first flight (and many more after) was on an old apco santana hill wing... So yes, If it will get you in the air free flight, it will get you up with a motor....But from my own experience it will probably be a bit slow, and you will soon want something more motor specific anyway.   18. For anyone who failed to get up early enough for the wind commander's debut you can watch it on the BBC website Richard hammond's blast lab, series 2, episode 9 ....about 14.54 Min's Cant imagine why Simon forgot to remind us it was on "hello I`m a wind commander"

  20. Thats the remains of your big end bearing. .. I assume the piston is still where you left it on dismantling and you have not tried to turn the crank over. I fear the crank shaft has departed from the crank...............ouch! Ive got bits just like it sorry to say.........its fudged but it can be fixed
