  1. Don't think of them as positive and negative. more like in-line earth switches. The starter button earths the relay or solenoid. And the stop button earths the coil. Simples
  2. I woke the other half up especially this morning, shes feeling all let down and disappointed now. Nothing new there then
  3. I think you can safely put me down for some of that Thats Two then. Colin B
  4. Will you be my friend Dave? Sorry I cant pay much these days, Cos Basher Borland and Wrist burn Westmore keep on taking my dinner money. But you can kick me in the nuts anytime you want Anyway he is real, and he`s bigger than you! And he kisses better too
  5. Yup... You can almost see how Parajet have messed up the standard volution weight with the titanium version and come out with a special edition That's Bad drills. And to be honest, more than a valid reason to send it back and have your courier and mileage cost returned. Still Cant figure out why it would be 3+ kgs heavier than a standard volution though? What they using? Lead based paint? Colin B
  6. Just out of interest. What scales are we using to weigh motors? After I built my Parajet / Black devil hybrid. I took it to work to weigh on one of our baggage scales. We have four sets each calibrated every 6-12 months. I weighed it on two sets just because they are next to each other. I do work in an air terminal With a sup-air high hang point harness and approx 2 ltr of fuel.....30kg dead So. Allowing for a slightly different engine and exhaust. My heavier engine mounting plate, back plate and electrics. I would say Parajets 26kg for a standard compact is pretty much on the money. Just to be sure I`m going to nick SW`s titanium on Sunday and check that. I`m all for Bashing manufacturers claims, But lets make sure our facts (Calibrated scales) are right first. Colin B
  7. Judging by the bearing, height and distance from lyneham. Do I get a prize for figuring out someone was doing a spot of dogging over White Horse hill? And the start point was just east of Grove? I might have to get me one of these new fangled iPhone things. Colin B
  8. Sorted.... He striped it down again this morning. Apparently the main jet was blocked solid. Airlines are have magical powers Soooo.. he takes it to the industrial estate to tune up. Running better than ever, smooth response. no backfires. And the exhaust falls off I believe he`s now thinking of making his own tuned exhaust if he can find a pattern. Colin B
  9. I need (or rather my mate does) a walbro carb for a solo 210 with manifold adaptor. He currently has a tilston which is complete witchcraft to me . For love nor money cannot tune the bloody thing!. Its as if the high and low needles have been swapped around (not physically possible) Starts fine on factory settings, just unable to dial in any throttle response. Anyone have a spare lying about? or any clues as to why this might happen? Colin B
  10. Hi Tim, Looks ace! But if your planning to use any fuel on its maiden flight, you might want to move the crabs back an inch or so. Colin B
  11. Tell you what Dan I`ll take a bashing with you My first wing was an Apco Santana. 13 years old now. Never been serviced. It flew perfectly and handled well. (just a little slow) Fortunately I knew the history of the wing from new, how it was stored, and how many hours it had been flown.(4) I still have the wing, still ground handles perfectly.Still crispy (looks new) And if I ever feel the need, I would have no worries about flying it again. The question is... Are you happy with the history of your wing Colin B
  12. Hi Pete, Was trying to get Friday morning off. Unfortunately looks like I`ve got too much work on On the Plus side though, I have booked South Cerney Airfield for tomorrow morning 8:30 till 1100. If all goes well and I have more interest than complaints this might be a good site for a new and exclusive branch of the paramotor club. At this time Ive not asked for clearance for anyone else . But I`m pretty sure this wont be a problem if you just happen to be passing by. Colin B
  13. Hi Paul, Not been before. But I expect You slide down a Zip wire, throw out your reserve and then re pack it. Sorry cant resist it sometimes Colin B 2 On a more serious note. Will you be wearing your cage?
  14. Hi Neil, should be up there before 10
  15. Don't know what the weathers like, Don't know if the track is passable, Don't know if anyone else is coming to play. But I'm going up the flagpole with Simon on Sunday. Cos I really do need to get out of this house Anyone else game? Colin B
  16. Hi Tim, Its looking good Ref the comfort bars. The originals had the end 1" flattened and rounded off, to slip into the pockets stitched onto the harness. It would make it easier to fit and prevent any unnecessary stress on the stitching. The zorst looks a bit too solid, you don't want that... It needs to be able to vibrate independently from the engine, or stress cracks will soon show up. Colin B
  17. Neil, I think you might find that his stationary engines are of the Mamod variety Of course this is only funny if read in a `bearded, anorak wearing, diesel loco spotting` voice Colin B
  18. I do believe our very own Simon `live steam, spotter`westmore is at this very moment furiously beavering away in his garden shed. Polishing up the next revolution in steam power. Colin B
  19. Out of curiosity I just Asked him via ebay if he had a buy it now price in mind.... got a reply back saying that he was after a quick sale himself and to make him an offer via mikel.or76@yahoo.co.uk, Sound familiar ? Also noted Item location Inverness. His location South Yorkshire?. Is it worth making an offer and seeing where the trail ends? Hope it not a genuine sale or hes going to be right pi**ed off with me
  20. Oh Yes...Awesome it was But you failed to mention it was also F**king cold, I'm still shivering! And also big thanks to Mrs W, not only for the homing beacon. But for also mentioning my landing was considerably better than yours I will take her word for it, cos I didn't see either Colin B
  21. Errrr....As the ad suggests it is a Paramotor harness.... And a very nice one too.....And its now sold Good to meet you again Mark... And Cheers Cass. Colin B
  22. Hi Tim, I have plenty of pics on both motors, Just uploaded them to my Album Colin B
  23. Depends what you call suitable. I currently use a high hang point harness on my BlackJet hybrid motor. It came off my Backbone spirit 125 so has comfort bar mounts. Medium Sup-Air I think. I'm after a Parajet low hang point harness.....Might be able to come to some sort of deal Colin B
  24. Quite surprised he`s not mentioned " only worn once" fair game though, hes probably never taken it off
  25. Looks like you had an awesome flight Dan. A route Ive been considering myself. Might have to wait for the weather to warm up before I try it though. I assume you went north to south, how many hours/ fuel stops? Colin B
