We have a Brand new Mac fly Moster 185+ The normal retail price of this unit with folding cages is £5700 We have discounted it as it is fitted with the Older version of the 185+ and now the my19 version is out so we are selling off @ £5200 inc folding cages E prop, Carbon seat board, Mac fly Fuel mirror and Mac fly prop covers, Brand new never had fuel in it...   2. There is alot of weight transfer in some of the moves loading one side move than the other for a short time and In a Sat you're not really sitting in the centre. One side will be loaded more than the other and for this reason you will be more susceptible to a collapse doing a sat than you are in a spiral, same for Big wing overs a badly timed wing over is normally followed by the high side wing tip collapse tuck.. The loading is not allways equal thus causing some Machine to bend the arms Watch this old video that will explain a lot better than i can..
  3. A sat will push the load to the side it might not be 100% horizontal (lateral) no but its still off to the side.. A deep spiral will have a higher G loading with a sat having a lower G load but off to the side
  4. I would still go for a GTR try a 22m @145kg There is alot of things going on when flying slalom it is nothing like flying around your local field.. Your so close to the ground and one simple mistake will put you in the water. New pilots can get focused on the pylon trying to make the turn and will pull to much and cause a flat spin or hit the brakes when on bar.. Modern High end wings are not forgiving!! a couple of inches of brake pull while on bar and you WILL have a collapse... The GTR although now old it is very forgiving fairly fast and agile.. what ever you choose good luck with the training..
  5. PPG your not alone with regards to bending the CNC arms.. Deep spirals but mainly sats will bend the arms. I bent my Old zenith arms at a Slalom comp.. Normally Parajet will send you out new set of arms but this doesn't solve the issue.. DO NOT just bend the arms back into shape!! This happens on V3's zenith's and even the mav as they all have virtually the same arms, Obviously these are not the only Paramotors to suffer from this as most arms are not really designed to take such a high lateral load or shock load.. I would post up some photos of friends bent arms on there machines but FlickR have now decided to limit photo uploads! The only thing i would suggest is speak with some experienced Acro guys and ask them what machine they use or would recommend..
  6. MosterZ Take it from me as someone who has competed in International slalom championship on multiple occasions you need to learn slowly.. Jumping from a beginner wing to something like the snake or any other high end Slalom wing is to big a jump.. Learning to fly Slalom is not all about speed or agility but more about precision, accuracy and timing.. Being able to push Bar without touching the brakes is vital especially on High end wings.. This takes time and practise.. There is however one wing i would recommend and would be fairly cheap now as it has been out for many years would be the Original GTR, Depending on your all up weight something like the 20m would be a good place to start.. My wing loading for comps on my 15m is 7.8kg Per Sqm This is High! Very agile and needs serious power to push me around the Pylon. Something around the 6kg Per Sqm would be ok for a new pilot looking to try Slalom. 120kg on a 20m nice agile safe wing but still a big jump from a spyder I am 73kg and when i used to fly a 16m Ozone slalom on my Moster it was not powerful enough!!

Depending on how quickly you want to learn or if you have time to take away from work you could go abroad and do a BHPA rating. Fly Spain or Skyschool..
  8. If you like the spyder go for the Speedster 2 or Sirocco2 There Both EN-C but jumping onto any snake with 50 hours is crazy IMO... I get this question alot from people who think they are out flying there current wing but in reality there no where near out flying the wing.. My main questions would be why are you changing? what are you looking for in the next wing that your old one doesn't do for you?... If it's a little more speed and agility try moving down a size thus keeping your EN-B caritoristics (if your still in the smaller wings wing loading and test cert)
  9. pointless exercise and does nothing At all... A mate of mine does it but don't know why.. You get a much better landing coming on full fast. Not for New pilots but can be learnt in small progressive stages.. Once you have done it you will never go back to landing on slow trims..

  11. We used to stock spare for bailey and I must still get 4-5 calls a week from Bailey owners who can not get parts or contact Bailey directly.. My advice Pete would be to retro fit a 250 onto the dragonfly.. More power and good Eco figures and Parts readily available..

Damian At 120kg i would 100% say 250, if your able to carry a 32kg machine our Mac Fly 250 is the lightest to my knowledge 250 on the market... you will be able to still get great eco and have allot of power left over, We used to have a 160kg All Up pilot flying a 22m Hadron xx he could still climb at 300fpm on bar doing over 80kmh and could achieve around 4lph in eco mode. 3 hours flight time was easily possible with the standard 12 litre tank. 18 litre tank optional, 280 tornado at a guess i would say around 5.5 7lph but with less power output other options would be the Moster as well as the already mentioned Nitro and tornado What i find very funny is when you see 80-90-100kg+ guys much bigger build than myself 70kg with chicken legs and unfit even Marie Mateos who is 55kg and flying a 250 with no problem and the bigger guys complaining they can't handle the weight!! The only time i struggle with the weight of a 250 machine is when i have a 20 litre tank full up with fuel.... Nil wind full 20 litre tank and a sub 20m wing... Now thats a struggle!!! but how often would you want to fly for over 6-6.5 hours?? If you have medical reasons why you need a lighter motor may be think about a trike.. I always ask my customers a few questions before I recommend a machine/motor combo to them, Body weight? Experience? Medical Issues? What are your longer term goals for Paramotoring? XC, Slalom style, Acro, A 30 minute potter around your field.. How long do you want to fly for now and how long do you think you will fly or would like to in a couple of years?... Where do you fly? Flat lands or mountains.. If you just follow others you might be buying the wrong machine for you, take good advice from Your local pilots/dealers/instructors All the best Mark

  15. I did offer to test a carb on one of my machines ages ago but nothing .. I am very sceptical of a 30% improvement on eco figures and You would think that if these were 'sorted' for the PPG market they would be very keen to have some of the worlds Top pilots using them in comps....

  19. Reminds me of another Motor that was released/Advertised way to early and never really showed up until it was to late for the party.. I think if it was the other way around and they just shoved 100 motors out early and they all had teething problems everyone would be slagging them off.. Just think it will be Christmas soon..
  20. It's not just the PPG trikes tho.. also SSDR flex wings that travel allot faster than us and all come under the same category.. I think 70 kg is plenty for a PPG trike set up.. If you want to fly a heavier trike get an NPPL M
  21. I doubt it would only take just one, Without sounding like Dell again and being holly than.... as simon called me.. HAHAHA... Mac fly do a tandem (BIG) trike and i would never sell one to anyone in the UK.. No sure on the All up weight as I have no interest in selling one even for "single" seat use... You can easily buy a New Tandem trike off ebay from a UK dealer!! He must know it's illegal and is putting profit first... When this comes onto the secondhand market or even when new, There must be new pilots out there getting stung/ripped off or people not giving a sh!t.. If the dealers or manufacturers stopped it this wouldn't be happening.. Well thats just tandem trikes but the CAA have been kind enough to allow trikes to be flown in the de reg cat so this is what we have to play with.. .
