    While we are on the subject, XCWEATHER now has a free mobile version, use your phone to browse to: http://www.xcweather.co.uk/m you can select either a specific station i.e. Lyneham for wind history or view the entire wind map.

    That ruined house looked ace, going to have to get a GOPRO, there is a new "affordable" one coming out (the 960) that's only 720p and almost 1/2 the price of the HD Hero (Simon can you put them in the shop?)

    Just doing my gearbox now, the old oil looks like sludge, and for reference it's 50ml for those who need to convert the 1.7 fluid ounces of oil thats specified in the manual.

    Barrys farm is between Guildford & Farnham however you will have to pay each time approx £8, Basingstoke is just a bit futher but free, don't let the MATZ put you off. A but further towards the coast is Seymores superb fields (RH20 2HZ), you should come to his next fly-in and check it out. Hopefully Steve Haze will source a training field a bit closer and we may be able to use that occasionally. Finally don't forget you are not that far from the PMC Membury field

    The MATZ airspace has no legal recognised status under the UK Air Navigation Order (ANO) for civil pilots and no prior permission is required to enter it, plus it's a weekend so generally very quiet, just keep an eye out and exit the area asap.

    On the day after I expect you have a few aches and pains in new places, you can add a few bruises to these when you start launch practice with the motor. Keep up the blog - very interesting to read, definately a good idea to get as much GH practice in as possible.

    Pete - don't overcomplicate my 99p solution good idea though, keeps your petrol safe and fresh too if it's back in the jerry can.
