  1. Well done guys - time to modify the tandem rig to take a baby buggy
  2. The WG8 carb has a fixed high rpm jet (non adjustable), the long slender screw only adjusts low speed carburation (idle mixture). The conical screw adjusts the idle speed by adjusting where the throttle lever stops and therfore the position of the butterfly in the carb. On mine when it was running lean at high rpm I had to slightly bend the meter lever up to increase overall fuel flow then adjust idle mixture to suit. Stripdown pics HERE
  3. Not as scary as Eric Dufour [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]
  4. You should have been a bit more creative with the weedkiller in your field - maybe design something a bit more lemmings style
  5. Cracking pics guys, don't miss the Notam just South of Farnham - active till 21st April
  6. Nice, right outside the ice cream shop
  7. Need photos, I lost 12" of trailing edge of mine and it was repairable - thanks to James Davies.
  8. Loads of helmets have a push to talk button on the ear defender, it's not a big drama to move your hand an inch or so away from the riser to push it, cheap and easy plus you can hang onto your brake if you really want to

Kingston 16GB £20 from ebuyer works fine Video frame from yesterday
  10. Barrys farm is between Guildford & Farnham however you will have to pay each time approx £10 and he has a strict noise rule, Basingstoke common is just a bit futher but free, don't let the MATZ put you off. A but further towards the coast is Seymores superb fields (RH20 2HZ), you should come to his next fly-in and check it out. Hopefully Steve Haze will source a training field a bit closer and we may be able to use that occasionally. Finally don't forget you are not that far from the awesome PMC Membury field Barrys field last night:
  11. Guys, this is near the Uffington White Horse, something to do with the missing Swindon girl and discovery of two bodies.
  12. I'm sure the WG10 is pretty similair to the WG8, and that means the needle you are turning is the low speed mixture setting so won't make any difference to the high end mixture as it has a fixed high rpm jet (non adjustable). On mine I had to bend the meter lever to richen the mixture, you may need to do the opposite - google WG8 tuning .
  13. Cool pics, Peter that looks it's over Hurtmere golf course
  14. I'm sure Castrol have discontinued the TTS name and it's now Castrol Power 1 Racing 2T, Castrol code CAS-2240-7176 for those who love the fully synthetic feel
  15. Live band with a hog roast, then a jacuzzi afterwards seems to make a good fly-in Weekend with camping would be ace maybe find a quiet campsite that would welcome some extra customers ?
  16. Ages ago I had to adjust the meter lever (bend it up a bit) on my WG8 to richen the mixture, works a treat now
  17. Cracking day for it, wish I was not stuck at work
  18. I reckon it would be very popular, count me in
  19. Loving the soundtrack, coastal flying is hard to beat, need to concentrate on your 500ft rule though
  20. Cracking set of pics there Luke
  21. Hi Phil, I reckon you must be close as we often drink in the White Hart in Pirbright Steve Haze on this forum trains in the Surrey/Guildford area, give him a call and let us know how you get on !
  22. Joint Aviation - cost me just over sixty quid for £1M third party cover, as previously mentioned on another thread the policy is through Alpha and you don't need any pilot certification.
  23. Terrible timing Simon , just ordered a GoPro 960 for £150 earlier this week.
  24. Nice one Clive, very watchable, I thought it was speeded up video but it's photo stills taken every 6 secs love the bit at the end with the tree.
