Just trying to over simplify the settings although I was refering to a Revo not an Ozone, this does seem to ride out the bumps nicely "hands off" while on fast trim. I don't use brakes at all once trimmers are out, either turn using weightshift or tipsteering for a faster turn.

If you are going too fast use the brakes, if you are going to slow use the trimmers, and if it's still too slow mix in some bar, but above all just have lots of fun and put some trust in your reflex wing

Mine is manual logging, and that's only for height not distance, the XLANDER does not have GPS, it's still a very accurate tool and I love the fact that it's always there if you just have a quick flight and don't want to take any clutter up with you.

Slim has that Suunto, I have the XLANDER, both nice bits of kit.

Thanks Mark, would love to get in some sea views ! hope to move house in a few weeks but loads of stuff is packed up and in my warehouse at work so it's like life is on hold unto we can unpack. Hey who needs a Bailey anyway ? I'm consistently getting 3 litres per hour on the H&E which is pretty good although I do pootle on slow trim a lot taking photos and waiting for Colin !

Dunno about it being the hottest summer but it was the coldest winter for a while.. Provisional figures from the Met Office show that the UK winter has been the coldest since 1978/79. The mean UK temperature was 1.5 °C, the lowest since 1978/79 when it was 1.2 °C. Since mid-December cold weather has often dominated much of the country, with spells of snow and very low temperatures. From southern England to northern Scotland, heavy snow caused travel disruption at times through the season. Overnight temperatures fell to -22.3 °C at Altnaharra, Highland – the lowest UK minimum since 1995.

I had to do a double take when I saw the word "sunburn" then saw the date of your post Can you get back to Simon's tomorrow or in the week ? The dry and settled outlook will continue throughout next week as high pressure remains close-by.

Bit late to start my 2010 flying but am moving house in a few weeks so it's a bit manic, however when I saw the skies today I had to do something about it. Used Simons cricket pitch to have a fantastic hour's sortie with RAF Colin. First pics with my new camera, FUJI F100FD and it's ace, fiddly buttons with gloves on but still dooable, have to tape up the battery compartment as I accidentally opened it, was very lucky not to send the battery into a field.

cool edit, should not say this really but the crashes were almost funny, especially the tree, could see it coming a mile off !!!

Mike will testify that having your battery on a battery conditioner like an OPTIMATE or similair when not flying means your battery is always in tip top condition when you get to the field. My R120 is set up a bit rich and likes a bit of throttle when starting but I'm not a 220 expert so that's all the advice I have
