  1. Need to stir these guys up once in a while or they get to serious lol That’s a French beer correct? If I’m correct it’s one that has a strong barley/hoops taste (A beer with some bite). I like those beers once in a while. I'm a big Stout fan, I love a dark one Where I live in Brazil is really nice however the city lacks some worldly influence (this has its good/bad points). Bad point is we are limited to mostly on continent produced products. Believe or not there are a couple of guys here that have formed a “beer club” every three months or so they import beers such as the ones you mentioned. We pay a flat fee and everyone gets together for a BBQ and beer tasting. Great fun!
  2. I would have thought if I was going to be the first in the world to do this I would have had some great ground video team waiting to catch everything for the world to see. This being said the landing video seems a bit questionable.
  3. Or just tell the guys that are over seas and no chance in hell of making it! Man I hope the weather holds out here.... I'm die'n to go for a fly in the mountains (lose the motor). Ah you guys will have a good show, sounds like there has been a tom of effort put into the event. Keep your eyes on that Allan K guy if he makes it.... AAA wont even take him in!!!!! Cheers T
  4. The club in OZ did this. They had no choice a builder was buying all the land at the bottom of the mountain and their was only one place left that you could reach to land as a beginner or just a no lift day. So all the members got together and put in the money If their is horses you will have to teach them this is the new normal. But it can be a slow process and if you do it wrong the farmers will be pissed when they see their prize possession go though a barn wall or fence. If they are race horses forget it these animals are just crazy by nature lol.
  5. No the dog thing is hate rumors for sure but it was so fitting and timely... I just could not help myself. I hope someone puts an end to his training abilities
  6. Ho was reportedly receiving paragliding instruction from Dell “SuperDell” Schanze, and others in the paragliding community are calling on officials to revoke Shanze’s training license. “Over and over and over, he’s just a habitual violator of any kind of air sport we have,” said paraglider instructor Billy Purden. When Shanze was finally contacted for comment, he was quick to point out: “It was a fluke thing. I could never have guessed he was going to freeze up like that. (…) I realize I couldn’t have done anything more. I am the best instructor and the leader of the biggest paragliding school in the world, and this is the first death I’ve ever had in my 12 years of instructing.” Man..... Its a one person world he lives in: I am the best instructor and the leader of the biggest paragliding school in the world, and this is the first death I’ve ever had in my 12 years of instructing.” He just never stops.... I cant help be laugh at his stupidity http://finddellschanze.com/powered-paraglider-shooting/ He's already starting up his life after Paramotoring is done lol Dell Schanze, is looking for dogs to recruit for dog fighting. http://www.thatsnonsense.com/view.php?id=1708
  7. Alan is bang on. Always turn to the manufactures manual information. Information on the web can sometimes be misleading and highly opinionated. The web is filled with aspiring einstein's lol From Manual; Features The Solo 210 engine features a composite propeller that is available in two cage diameter sizes, 110 cm and 122 cm. This engine uses a high-mounted, large gas tank for long flights and easier fuel delivery. Engine The Solo 210 has a 210-cubic-centimeter, two-stroke, one-cylinder engine. The tank holds 2.9 gallons (11 liters) and the engine runs on a 50-to-1 pre-mix of unleaded 93-octane auto fuel and oil. The Solo 210 reaches a maximum horsepower of 15 at 6,000 revolutions per minute, and a compression ratio of 10.6-to-1. The dry weight of this engine is 28 lbs.

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/like-GoP ... 66991.html One of the guys down here just bought one of these. I have not seen the videos yet but it was a nice bit of kit. The wristband with Wifi and the $150 price tag did it for me! One button on the band starts/stops movies the other is for pictures. The coolest was being able to control it and see the video from your Iphone. cheers
  10. I love the way the 19m etc move. reminds my of flying the speed wings on the mountain (crazy fun). I was watching the hands, that's why I asked. I could see little movement in the hands but big reaction from the wing.... I was thinking if that's the 24m I really need one of those lol. Now that I know its a 19m it all makes sense I would love to rip around on one of them! You were getting some good valley wind eh..... I could see from the boats in the vid you had nice wind direction to play. nice vid! T
  11. morgy... Is that the 24m? I need one of those.... I love the way it moves! looks like a ton of fun!
  12. Flying is not for everyone, but for the few that do enjoy it can become a lifestyle. Welcome to the sport and welcome to paramotorclub.org. You will find some nice guys in the woodwork here. There's also a few crazy's but Simon keeps a close eye on us! Tom

I was a little worried too. I had never seen one before and had to have it shipped to Brazil (no way to return it). Only thing I knew was how much I hatted the standard unit. I thought to myself there had to be something better out there! I did a ton of reading and found the same on one had a bad thing to say about them so I pulled the trigger. When I first put it on I was a little worried about it (just so different). I was wondering about the takeoff landing etc. After the first flight I was completely hooked and could not understand why these are not a stock item for all motors. For take offs your hands are so much more organized. I remember tiring to get the brake, throttle and front risers all sorted in one hand. The Velcro strap always at the wrong adjustment. In flight I could never get the throttle in a comfortable location etc. Not to mention trying to pull "bigears" with everything in the left hand (All the time praying a line doesn't get caught) Like I said the first few flights my finger got a little tired (needed to get him into shape, I thought holding a beer was a good workout but I was wrong ). Any long flights I kick in the AP and just cruse now. I don't even want to fly a motor with the stock throttle now (it scares me) lol After I bought mine anyone with a motor and $500RA has one on their motor now. lol hope this helps Decisions Decisions Decisions T
  14. Good luck on getting the right wing. lol Go for a good demo before you buy. Now that you have some idea of what you want it actually becomes harder to get the right fit. I did some demos and still got the wrong wing the first time. Well maybe not they really sent me the wrong size. This can really impact the "right fit" too. T
  15. I have both and only use center "a" forward or reverse

Heemmmm good question It’s not a bad unit. It’s simple but could be improved. It’s on the top so you need to push it down “engage’ with other hand. Once on it’s a stepper type unit (if you add throttle it will move to the next notch) however you can also skip back a notch by simply lifting your finger and not turn it off. You can “disengage” with your thumb on the same hand by pushing the “on” button. The one button pushes the stepper out. This is also good safety (you cannot start the motor with auto engaged) In a pinch you can push your finger up and go to 0 throttle if needed. When I say it could be improved for me running the auto completely from one hand would be the best but nothing is perfect.

I have one. After using it for one year Abuse rating 10 I have a paramotor holder in my rear hitch for the truck. Somehow the throttle got lose and after dragging it 5k only the auto pilot button popped off. Went for a flight the next day Usability 10 It has multiple adjustments for your finger for different size hands and personal preferences In flight one finger is on the throttle and the rest of the fingers are free to sort out lines check things and even adjust the camera/ipod lol Saftey 9 It really fits nice on your finger and makes it easy to mount on your hand with the same hand that is holding your motor. If a problem happens the off button is right at the end of your thumb. You can almost hold the motor with the same force (80-90%) you can not say that for the normal throttle. Install 9 Not to hard to cut the cable and sort out the wires. I had to email them for a wire diagram (emailed back next day) Only down side is if you put the return spring in it can be hard on your finger (finder gets tired). The motor has a spring on the Throttle already. I did not install the extra spring as it was just to much. you need to have a look at your motor and see what is best. In the end; After using this I'm not sure why people fly without them (should be stock on all motors IMO).. For me its just ridiculous not to have one. I would not have a motor without one now Tom
  18. Simple words of advice. Just do it! Welcome Tom
  19. What do you mean by this? "wings with colors at the bottom of the wing" Colors on the underside of the wing? Is that what you mean?
  20. I did read this article. I have to admit the man fascinates me. It’s as if he has created his own alternative reality. In this reality things like: 1. Standard aluminum tubing crates a “crumple zone” when connected in anyway shape or form. 2. He is a good PPG teacher 3. Computer warranty issues can solved by pointing your 35 at them At the same time it scares me that people like dell don’t need a license to reproduce. The government should be controlling this type of nuisance.
  21. Ok ok it was me. I was not selling the GPS coordinates I was only using these finds to replenish my own stash
  22. Your right I really have no reason for pain lol I just would love to fly there. I even talked to the wife last night about this and she gave me the “hell yea” I’ll go. So I see this in my future lol. Yea waiting to get you own kit is hard for sure. Right now I’m just a little crazy working on our business (getting the E-store on line). But I can see doing this next year! I think you will have way to much fun flying there. However you better be investing in some camera gear to send us videos! Yea Brazil has some nice places too for sure.
  23. 5600 = 8847.44US Ouch! I originally thought 6k US. I stand corrected. Why is sexy in everything so f'n expensive lol I'm not in the line!
  24. Nice video. Thanks for adding to my pain! When is you windy season in TL? Do they have one? I noticed you looked at kite surfing. Kite and paramotor are the best two sports to mix. One for wind one for the non wind days.
