  1. Hi Col, thanks for that. I tend to fly at 0 trim for low stuff but I'll try a faster trim a bit higher and see if that works.
  2. Nope, it's not that, I'm aware that making a curl in the cable can tighten it and increase revs. This is all done at the same arm position!
  3. Hi, I'm struggling to get smooth level flight on my Volution 1. I might be going down 80ft/min then try to pull the smallest bit of acceleration (and I mean 0.5mm on the throttle trigger) and the revs just shoot up and I'm at 200ft/min up. Really tricky for low flying. I have a new throttle cable so all smooth there. I'm noticing some oil splattering around the carb - does it need a service? All the screws are tight. I've never taken it apart so would be worried to have a go. Is it the tuning that needs adjusted? Any help would be great. Does yours do the same? Cheers Stu
  4. Chaps, just had a quote at a local place. Sandblasting and powder coating all three cage sections and the main frame - " about £100" I think it will really freshen up the machine (except for the dents and agricultural welding).
  5. Thanks Guys, bit of WD40 and some pulling then. Stuart
  6. Hiya, I'm considering giving my Macro a new lease of life and would like to get it sandblasted and re-powder coated by a local company. I need to remove the swing arms. The pivot bolts are threaded I notice and thought perhaps my screwing in a bolt, might push out the pivot. Unfortunately it tends to spin. Anyone had experience of removing these? It would allow me to replace the bushes too. Thanks Stuart
  7. What about the Thor 200? Reported 80kg thrust. Mmmmmm
  8. Ah, a healthy income? Why didn't you say. You'll be needing a couple of thousand acres for that!
  9. You could rent out the grazing to a local livestock farmer. Many large arable farmers may not now be interested in 4 acres - too small with their large equipment. Of course, houses are a very profitable crop.
  10. I can tell you are a farmer with a name like quinoxyfen! An old skool mildewicide. Happy flying.
  11. Phil, click on the NOTAMS lonk above and zoom to where you want to fly. Select all the airspace on the right and it should give you an idea! Good huh. Stu
  12. Looking good tomorrow....wooo hoooo Bit chilly at 0 degrees though!
  13. Cheers Guys, a bit of strategic sanding confirms your wisdom. Might get up tomorrow too, unbelievable, you wait 2 months for a flying window and two come along at once!
  14. My view this morning. Now that Hurricane Bawbag has gone....
  15. Thanks Clive, I'll maybe have a wee look. Just glad to get out today - it's been so windy for so long.
  16. Hi, after a nice calm flight this morning I noticed these cracks getting bigger. My question (before I start digging) is - is it just the varnish cracking or worse? What would you do? Many thanks
  17. I use 720 on 60fps. I prefer the widescreen and ability to slo-mo some footage. 720 is plenty good enough for me.
  18. From my experience, Parajet service is second to none. I have a secondhand motor, so didn't even buy new from them but even still, they have offered advice when asked and helped every way they could when ever I've had a problem / query. I would definitely buy a new motor from them assuming a) I can afford one and b) i dont happen to lose enough weight to make the Bailey V5 an option! Stu
  19. I'm guessing Slapper's machine is still boxed and is the one that has been on ebay, along with a bit of a rant about Parajet. Bring on the good weather!!
  20. You can rotate in the Video Edit section of Youtube. Save the sore necks!
  21. Hi, just for clarification, it is not my set-up. Although the cha[ in the video is called Stuart too I believe. Leave a comment on youtube and I'm sure he will reply, that's what I did. I think his user name on here is POWERLORD Cheers Stuart
  22. [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]This seems like a good way to attach you motor.
