    Am I asking too much?

Did you ever manage to get this going? I have was looking for the same thing here's what I ended up with Icaro TZ no head set Microavionics 1. Headset MP001a 2. Bluethooth mm06 Mp003 to connect the headset to BT 3. Radio connect mm014DD 4. Mp004 for standard ipod, galaxy Works nice, music is great. Once the head set is on I can not hear the person talking beside me. I will test the BT vs the standard MP004 connector for quality loss. covers everything! Can I just ask, have you used your set up to make or recieve a phone call using an iphone? If you have, can you hear and be heard clearly? I'd be willing to sacrifice a bit a sound quality (music) to lose the wires.

I came to more or less the same conclusion and was about to splash out on a Icaro/MA combo, but then something broke on the car and took away my new helmet money , then since then it's just been one thing after another. So the upshot is that helmet upgrade is on hold for the time being. Thanks for letting me know your setup, and most impotantly that it works and sounds good Cheers Dan

I don't think there is any any competition in the looks department. The Terrrawhatsitsface is just ugly, whereas the PAL-V is just completely cool. Any guess's on the price of the PAL-V? I don't think it will be under a £100,000

Okay, so we've got the Pal-V flying car (price unknown), but also to complicate matters we also have this little beauty(?) below: [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]At a very reasonable base price of just $279,000. Should fly off the shelves at that price (no pun intended) ...... anyway, which one is better. There's only one way to find out....... FIGHT!!!!!

I don't think I've ever wanted something so much in my whole life..... http://www.gizmag.com/pal-v-flying-car/22032/?utm_source=Gizmag+Subscribers&utm_campaign=cc7147c31c-UA-2235360-4&utm_medium=email
  6. At the beginning of the video I was clear. No doubts. Now.....I'm not so sure. I think she's just acting dumb, when really there could be something in what she's saying. Just because "THEY" tell us that you travel 80 miles in one hour doesn't necessarily mean it's true. How many of us have actually tried it? We're just a bunch of sheep
  7. Arff arff arff Thanks Alan. Hope you get sorted asap. There's nothing makes something that extra bit appealing as when you know you can't have it..... paramotoring as well
  8. This is going to sound really strange, but I've just read my post and weirdly enough, it was like reading it for the first time. I seriously have no recollection of writing this post. I do have to admit that at the time I had about 30mg of valium circulating around me to try to release the spasm that was preventing me getting to the loo to take a sh*t. I lost at at least a couple of days. My head is still a fuzzy mess, but the spasm has gone and I can move around, all be it like a seventy year old. I have to admit to being a little uncomfortable about doing and saying things that I can't remember. I wonder what else I did/say. The mind boggles. Reckon it's going to be another couple of weeks before I can get airborne again. Listen guys, thanks very much for all the advice. As a few have said, there seems to be no substitute for time and rest. Luckily it's blowinn' a hooley out there. Cheers Dan
  9. Also had terrific customer service from these people. Just shows how clever they are, 'cause we're talking about them. Good on you Icaro
  10. Just when i was getting complacent (always a big mistake), bent down to pick up the cat, and bang went my back. Now im stuck in bed with my project at any one time to get to the John without collapsing in agony. Looks like PPg is out for the next few weeks Still, looking on the bright side, I am getting waited on hand and foot. Any suggestions to cut down recovery time very welcome Dan

    Equipment Budget

You may be considering changing from GA to PPG for reasons of cost. I was in the same boat after flying Cessnas for 18 years. However, I enjoy flying now more than I ever did in my old Cessna. It's just soooo much fun. If you do decide to swap, once you get the hang of it, you will not look back. Dan
  12. I have just fitted a right handed cameleon finger throttle. I thrashed around trying to decide whether to go right hand or convert to left. But after much consideration and as I take a lot of SLR photos, I decided that a right handed throttle would work better for me. I really like this throttle and the right handed one was clearly the right decision for photos.
  13. That was horrible to watch especially when you know it's coming.
  14. What a cracking video. Got me sat up in my seat...well the 1st half did. Thanks for posting Dan

    Flying suit

I take it you wont be needing a winter suit? mite be worth looking on ebay for the ex RAF flying suits, loads of pockets to put stuff and hard wearing, also a lot cheaper than shelling out for some fancy brand name suit Thanks Outcast, but actually a winter suit is what i'm looking for 'cause it's pretty cold flying at the moment (around 4 degrees). Will checkout Ebay though Cheers

    Flying suit

Can anyone suggest an all bells and whistles (ie lots of pockets and sh*t) flying suit, and recommend a size. I'm a tad over 6ft, quite broad and 85kg. Need to be able to wear just a tshirt underneath. Cost is secondary to usefulness, quality and importantly, being easy to get in and out of. Any help would be great as it's not like going for a pair a jeans that you can try on. Cheers Dan
  17. Wow! How insignificant are we! Cheers for posting
  18. Yey 100 hrs in the air with a leaf blower on my back and a big duvet over my head ..... and I'm still alive. So, does this milestone, now that I feel a little more confident make me more or less vulnerable?
  19. Excellent pics! Don't you just love being able to reach the clouds
  20. Without a doubt Cyberlink Powerdirector 10. It's superb.
  21. That's amazing. How can you tell?
  22. .....I no longer receive email notifications when a subscribed post is updated. Cannot modify a signature Used to click on shortcut on desktop and it would open up already logged in. Now I have to login each time. Didn't get my DVD Petrol's gone up again, the cat licked it's arse, then my face... Taking a piss seems to take longer these days I seem to be getting older, quicker... All since becoming a Full member. Should have stuck with the freebie.... Does this qualify me for the whinging bastard award for the 1st quarter 2012 Dan
  23. A Mac Thought I'd get it in first! Seriously though; minimum i5, but preferably i7 processor. At least 1 gb graphics card 8gb Ram. Cyberlink Powerdirector 10 (superb piece of editing software) You shouldn't need to pay more than £700 for a great editing machine, or £1300 (minimum) for a Mac Book Pro. I would be tempted to look at newish (12 months old) 2nd hand machines, as there are loads of computer nerds out there who wouldn't dream of keeping a PC for any longer than a year. There are thousands on eBay. Dan
  24. Sorry, but that is definitely an open mouthed crocodile in the bottom centre of that last picture, just hoping, and waiting to bite your arse when your motor quits The other thing, is doing what you were doing.....on Friday 13th I'm not really superstious, but that could be considered asking for trouble Great photos!!!
