  1. I have a Nitro and suffer from bad back knees I'm over weight 120kg, unfit and 55yrs old. And was going the same trike route then the AC Nitro came along, and for us unfit older types a complete game changer
  2. If the Smurf don't get lost on the way!!!!!!
  3. Mate ya best bet is to talk to Simon no need to go abroad if you start now you could be flying by end of summer
  4. You won't go far wrong with Alex in Braintree super training and a all round good bunch give him a call Alex and Tracey great ambassadors for the sport
  5. Have always flown a 34 Synth and then a 34 Nuc but recently bought a 28 Reportair not flown yet as time and work V weather crap I've never replay worries about fuel consumption my longest flight was around three hours a few years back on a Moster when I landed the cramp was unbearable lol so only tend to have flights around a couple of hours but i believe the Nitro comparable to our weight
  6. Hi Flyhound I'm around the 270lb and at 5'11" I fly a Airconception Nitro and it's one of the best units I've had plenty of power comfatable and the lightness is an absolute winner
  7. I had same on my Moster changed the plug sorted it
  8. Simon am I correct in saying that the PMC training/license is the only license officially recognised by a government
  9. Can highly recommend Simon didn't train with him personally but have met dozens of his students all at a high standard and sound understanding of the sport also always has a great bunch of people around him staff and pupils. And on you doorstep is an added bonus
  10. Is anyone on here flying Wickford Essex friend of mine saw paramotor flying last night
  11. It's good you got to the root of the problem as I said with the ball & socket type I got some valve grinding paste and worked away till it was a snug for but I'm thinking if yours is worn and has a ridge etc that may not be posssible and as you have said a new one in order. From memory I'm thinking that the PAP dealer can't think of his name hopefully someone will come along and remind us might be able to help you I think they based in Kent in the past I've got Ross parts from them. 12. Looked an awesome trip Vince seen quite a few vids from it now all look great fun the flight over KL looked great and a superb finale to the trip, although the landing zone was a little daunting lol. Also to have such faith in motors, equipment is just a testament to how much paramotoring has come on. Neilzy
  13. I'm having to miss this Bore event which leaves the Parlour available for the weekend it's really nice and comfatable sleeps four any intereasted give them a call.
  14. Unfortunately I'm having to drop out of this months Bore Chaser needless to say I'm gutted. We did have one of the barns booked so if you want get in contact with the farmer asap I'm sure it won't hang about long. Neilzy
  15. Again there was some local pilots flying around the area but I would imagine having not seen any flying recently that they have either given up or lost their site's for one reason or another.
  16. Hi Dan a couple of guys used to fly from there must be 4yrs back and I'm sure both are no longer flying or on the forum still. If I remember there was some problems and they lost the use of the fields.
  17. What you up to Gary I did send a pm
  18. I managed to stray into restricted airspace a few years back had to shut the airport down for two hours. I immediately stuck my hands up and After two interviews one with the CAA and another with there enforcement officer I was encouraged to meet with the ATC at said airport, and since then had a great relationship with our local ATC and still have the occasional call from the CAA officer. I can't still hear the rather stern warning ringing in my ears from the CAA about flying during the Olympics and how it would not be a good idea lol.
  19. That's Morgy's neck of the woods I'm sure he will be right on him lol
  20. Yeah it's a different joint to the Moster most engines will let a little past this type of exhaust joint although yours does look excessive Its been ages since I last worked on a Ros not sure if there should be some sort of "O" ring type of seal there. Not sure what to suggest I will have. Chat with my 2stroke guru see what he says
  21. You will need to check needle height and pop off pressure if you going to rebuild the carb. Also I used to get a bit of leakage around my moster exhaust I got a little valve grinding paste and bedded the to halfs washing it after of coarse but for that cured it.
  22. Have you checked the tank vent are you getting tank vacuum
  23. I'm not one of Simon's pupils, but will say over the years I've met many of his students and all are well taught and to a high standard. Little Col is a great teacher as well, and you will be well looked after welcome to the sport.
