    flying

Would love to see doodlebug in action. When where you thinking of flying? Tj.
  2. Hi guys, I may be about to really display my mechanical ignorance here! Why does the tank need venting? Is it to stop a vacuum building up? Cheers, Tj.

    Paramotor rental

This would be a great alternative for those that didn't want to be involved in a syndicate. I would be up for it as it would mean I could really get some hours in before I took the plunge and brought my own kit. (obviously once I have some PMC training sorted!) Tj.

    Group ownership.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone had any experience (in GA or anywhere else) of aircraft group ownership? Thes is something I'm exploring with paramotoring and wondered if anyone had any advice? Has anyone else ever looked at doing this? Cheers all. Tj.
  5. *This isn't medical advice* however! Nsaids (non steroidal anti inflammatory *removed by admin*) include aspirin and paracetamol. Ibuprofen is the best of these, however as mentioned can cause shortness of breath, asthmatics beware! Have a chat with your gp/hopsital doctor for best nsaid advice. Tell him about paramotoring, then hammer the physio! (if she's pretty ) Tj.

    End of august FLY IN

Looks good to me. Again only 1/2 day or so for me. When's the best time to come and chat to peep? I don't want to turn up and miss everyone cos they're airborne! Tj.

1st beer's on me, for fixing my motor!
  8. Very interested in being a student pilot for the student instructors depending on dates. Tj.

    End of august FLY IN

No drama, might make it easier for me to be there longer Tj.
  10. Yep, great post, that's the kind of flying I'll be looking for! Hopefully the extra dimension(s) will push my flight planning and execution further! Tj.
  11. I know a bloke that did his tib and fib (both lower leg bones) and pulled the ligament off from his ankle. He went on to attempt selection for the TA SAS 18 months later. While he didn't get in he did do a shed load of training with a heavy Bergen and it didn't affect a regular career in the forces after that. His secret was to do all the physio exercises twice over. Just don't give up and visualize yourself flying again. Tj.

    Printing.

Had a work email the other day warning of paper shortages. Apparently the Peru(?) Earthquake and a major Scandinavian fire have disrupted supplies. Might be worth considering a more DIY option? Tj This might all be lies of course, it has been known from 'the management'.

    End of august FLY IN

Count me right in. Sat and Sunday only unless you guys give me some business on Friday! 3 days till freedom!
  14. I have maniac combine harvester of destruction for PS 9 Cool phot, I now have half a dozen paramedics asking about paramotoring. TJ
  15. If you had previously done a recce and been able to find who owns the land (try The land registry) near a petrol station and had permission to land, I guess you could 'just land and fill up'. And am I right in thinking you can get permission retrospectively? Land registry also helpful for finding out who owns land at any potential site. Tj.
  16. This sounds like a typical job PULSAR could be called on to practice sar techniques! Tj.
  17. I'm available with an ambulance response car for when you do the crash testing! Tj.
  18. Nice demo to show the missis how safe this sport is! Tj
  19. Awesome pics, better location than my old back garden!
  20. As a potential student I've been looking for this facility as well. What better way to introduce someone to the sport, emphasise the importance of the safety drills and demonstrate how easy navigation actually can be, than by taking someone out on a tandem flight. Less of a 'tourist flight' more of a potential student flight. If this was included in the price of a course I'd probably have paid my cash and then used the experience as a motivation while I'm studying..! Tj.
  21. I used to live on the farnborough approach and this is an awesome time of year for aviation. Best areas for a free view include military land at the end of the runway where they filmed the hovercraft bit in one of the bond films, another great place is my old hack garden. For reference , the dead sparrows formate on the hogs back. Tj.
  22. Cooling wrong, googling right - predictive text on phone! Sorry about that. Tj
  23. Might be worth cooling your query to get some good ideas. That's how I learnt about seo. Personalized Google to show 100 listings makes it easier too. Tj.
  24. How about a PMC channel and frequency? I'm guessing most people will drop in on the forum and a club 'standard' would be great for flying etc! Tj.
  25. Demon sounds good if its after August. 6 week and counting!
