  1. Thanks for your replies and the sena option looks quite cool! When we're talking CB being illegal in the air, is that illegal as in 'the best traditions of UK CB radio?!'
  2. Hi Guys, Its been a while! I've been trying to find out what the law says about CB radio and use from an aircraft. Could anyone direct me to a link? Cheers, Tj
  3. Hi All, Its been a while! Would be available as ground crew/SAR if needed, but only on 29th March option. Hope this might be helpful! Tj.

  8. Hi all, Newer forum members won't remember my proposals for PULSAR, the paramotor & Ultralight Search & Rescue group. Here is an ideal use for it. http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/ ... story.html Return flights and cheap accommodation for a week would be less than the helo costs by a massive margin. Thoughts - eg weather limits, airspace, paramotor use on the island? All the best, Tj.
  9. Bloody wind. Glad I called before I left though!

    'Extreme' sports

Used to do the med cover for the cheese roll. Jesus. It's the dodgiest thing I've ever seen. Diving with sharks without a cage is safer!
  11. Blimey, 9 months later and that lesson should happen tomorrow! Have been busy hence no blog/no training. Good weather window, hat ready, bottle filled! Despite reading loads on here I'm still not 100% sure what to expect but I'm looking forward to it.
  12. I'm going nuclear. Oh no, that was the Mrs when I told her I was going to the pub.
  13. Dude, this Paramedic dad business has left me shattered! Was just saying to Simon the other day my ny res is to fly! Have to make sure I have enough hours in the bank at work though. See you soon I hope! Tj.
  14. Depending when it was, I'd be up for ground crew. Tj.
  15. Is there any advantage in getting an ipad and filling it with apps? Just don't drop it! Nice big screen, lots of stuff on one screen? Just a thought.

    writing on wings

On one of the sites says "personalize your tandem wing" *imagines 'Tj & Vik' and a pair of fluffy dice*!
  17. Would be interesting to know the exact wind state... Tj.
  18. Best of luck bro, one advantage you will have is the power of prayer. Safe flying. Tj.
  19. I'm hoping that's part of the emergency drills, can't wait to practice it!
  20. Reading the towed articles thread has given me an idea... There's quite a few radio hams in the PMC, aerials can be towed in a reasonable manner and I gather in certain circumstances amateur radios can be used whilst airborne (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, just thinking of the space shuttle!). In theory, Whats the furthest you could transmit using a towed aerial...? Tj.
  21. Yep, just on m5 side of gloucester. Am always looking out for when you guys are flying, to try & hook up. always looking for wings when crossing cotswolds, think you're too far away! Will have to wait until lessons done & kit sorted through Ppg 100 club. Looking forward to it! Tj.
  22. I might be able to provide someone you can rib fairly soon when I've finished my training! Tj.
  23. Was watching from the wings with bated breath, would he, wouldn't he?! I expect the p1ss taking helped as well! Tj.
