  1. Tony / all, To ease the pain, Very well done with your launch attempt today Tony! To even have a go in light / nill winds makes your effort well recognised here! As long as the effort is there and the WANT to get in the air, I will never moan about Props and Kit. Its just stuff............. GOOD EFFORT! The next time its yours mate! SW

  3. As expected this question has been asked. To keep it simple.... Danny progressively but quickly applied of the brakes until a deep stall, which happened at 20ft during launch. POINTS TO NOTE BELOW We were not using a reflex wing for the towing. We have towed an Action and can tell you 100% that the wing needs to be on FULL speed trim!!!!! Please do call if you are in any doubt about what you are doing. +447983 428 453 gets you on the phone to me and I can give you many more contacts Ref Towing. SW
  4. Its my web guy that nees the time mate not me. I will give him a bell though If anyone is looking for a website person by the way, I have to reccomend Andy (the person who built and looks after this site) his link is at the bottom of every page, so if you need web stuff plase call him. Plug over. SW

  10. Stuart, Well flipping done mate! I knew you would do it in the end! Fear is a good thing (it keeps you alive) See you soon for number 2 SW
  11. All, I just wanted to say thanks to Chris Holly for letting me have a go on his winch today And thanks to Colin for trying it out Needs a little bit of sussing out but is a great bit of kit!!! Thanks for letting us have a play. I will have a nice simple tow wing on site tomorrow to try. Reflex wings not good for towing........ SW
  12. Not a lot. Dont worry about it thats for sure, you will do it and think... is that it? assuming that you have a good amount of height. OK so what will happen..... You will 'park' the brakes, reach up to the trimmer tab adjusters and press them both at the same time, all that will happen at this stage is that you will need to wiggle a little bit to get them to fully open (until they wear in) The wing will gather speed and become more stable. When you pull them in, you can do it in two stages to minimise sudden lift. 50% wait 1.2.3.4.5 then the other 50% Once you are used to it you will hate being on slow trim I recon. Good Luck but you dont need it. SW
  13. Sally Ann, Bill is more than welcome, by default he is a part of this as one of the land owners so the least we can do is fill you both up with beer. SW
  14. Tony The stopped doing the high hang points mate cas no one was buying them. Also they are for girls SW
  15. Hi, I know I am a dealer for Parajet so this will not hold as much water as it should but..... Every time I fly the Parajet I am so very glad that I have one! it is simply a great bit of kit. I have had my Titanium Compact now for 2.5 months and I have close to 40 hours on it already!! Giles and the crew down the road will give you the best customer service that I have ever had the pleasure to deal with as would I of course Parajet / Giles produce the very best quality kit and I do 100% belive that. I am going for ANOTHER fly on my Parajet today.... Hungerford yesterday.... who knows where the wind will take us today??? You are feeling sleepy.......very sleepy...........look in to my eyes..... not around the eyes .......into the eyes ........you want a Parajet...........when you wake up you will make your mind up and start flying... Parajet owners will of course also be warm in the winter due to the heated vests / Jackets that we will have I have one here on trail ( I can see me keeping that you know..... LOL ) from the 9th. Waffle Waffle Waffle..... If you have any Parajet questions just call. SW
  16. All http://www.roseandcrownashbury.co.uk/index.php This is the pub we are having our doo at. (Let's noise the place up a bit!) SW
  17. My reason, Removal of the bar from the throttle hand, ensures that no bar can be caught in your throttle during launch. The throttle its self will offer similar 'support' to that of the bar. No need to remove the other side so why bother, it stops the handle from wrapping around your hand and cutting off blood to your fingers making your hand cold. Hope this helps. Good to see you back in the forum Gazza C
  18. Sunday is looking good at the moment Mike. As always I will be in the field (THE NEW FIELD) from 0900 on Sunday. SW
  19. Remove the rod from your throttle hand but keep it in the non throttle hand. SW
  20. Mike, Wait out for a possible Parajet strobe mate SW
  21. OK, I have now booked 20 seats (with a possible 10 more if needed) The plan is...... (Weather permitting) Fly somewhere during the day, maybe a 1-hour XC or something (It will be cold) then land where there will be some beer and wine...waiting then hit the pub for our Xmas dinner at pub opening. Entertainment will be annoying balloons as supplied by Martin. (Martin cater for 20 x ) SW
  22. We will have to decide based on the direction of the wind matey but if its on for the power station then so am I. SW
