  1. Slight change to above, I have now fitted it, and tried it (dry run) and not only is it high/low as I said before but......... its 1 to 9 and let me tell you this, If you have it on 9 and your on the ground on a cold day, you will be too hot!!! The front heating up makes a massive difference. I feel as though 5 wil be ample for winter flying much more would be too hot I recon. Other good feature, no panic to get off the ground before you get too hot... launch settle, then turn it on at the oush of a button and you get 'almost' instant heat. Just when you think that you are Soooooo happy you have one on it gets hotter..... and hotter.... LOL its just the Biz! This Jacket can be tried in the barn when I am in it with the Parajet. ( as I have now hard wired it in ) I welcome ALL of you to pop in on the coldest day you can to try it out Still dont know what the price is, but I have some wires and stuff (with price list for Paramotor Jacket) on Monday..... Will also have lead time and be able to take pre delivery orders. Ta Ta 4 now...... SW
  2. You will not be dissapointed matey I had yet another great flight this morning on my synth (synthia) , as you all know....... I am now busy wiring in the 'full' set up, so that I have a fixed controller on the right hand swing arm, to turn it on/off and high/low. I am cant wait for the snow Silky smooth crisp air of the frosty morning sunrise. with the misty potholes on the ground 3000ft below. Its the best time of year to fly if you have the salt in you to get out and do it. SW
  3. He was not to bad to be fair, he was wearing an inside out bear. OK so more news...... I have just spoken to the jacket people....... I have been using the Jacket with a Battery pack. And found that it kept me nice and warm as I said above..... On talking to them I have now found out that once you plug it into a 12v output WAY more heat is created from more places. With the pack I have been using only the back heats up. When you plug it in, the back top and front heats up!!!! I am going to be flying all the way through the winter LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Yipppeeeeeeee......... SW
  4. All, This morning I test flew a Parajet heated Jacket. The temp on the ground was no more that 2 0c. It feels quite warm even before you turn it on due to its trick heat return layer system thingy (more soon) Even on a cold morning like this morning you have to be slick with your launch or you will over heat. (there is a remote on/off switch as an extra I am told.) So, Wing layed out into what could only have been 1/8th of a MPH of wind, a full 3 hours worth of petrol. OK, so jacket on. Then Gloves helmet and start engine. (already I can feel the heat starting on my back) Like a hot summers day in fact..... Full commitment, launch (aided by the fact that I know I dont want to do it twice with the heat on) into the air. The first thing I noticed was how cold my face was......... It was Very cold, (made to feel cooler by the warmth of the jacket, maybe, I dont know.....) Colin and I flew about 20 miles in early morning frost type weather for what took about 45 mins and the jacket kept me very warm all of the time. It felt like flying in the summer with the sun on my face and a warm body. More as it comes. SW
  5. How much..... (Unknowwn) 12v (Yes) As I say I am on the case , and will get this moved on ASAP. I am heding up to the field for an early one this morning so will let you know what its like at a few thousand feet up. Cheers All, SW

    Nokia N95

Minor issues with the set up of GPS J on the N95, it is me being a muppet I am sure. Just waiting for a reply from the support people. In the mean time, here are some screen shots of this 9 Euro software. SW
  11. Thanks, OK I am going to order the MA stuff first, but........ I will order this set up soon after so that I have one here for people to play with. I like the Idea of the Dudeks becasue Clive is on my doorstep for 1, I like the idea of Parajet and Rad for the same reason, MicroAvionics is not a million miles away and I like the idea of next day type after sales service that you get from all of the people above. If anyone else fancies going for it, please bring it to the field. (I can say this, there is no better mic than a 'contact' mic. you can whisper and still be heard as clear as day by the listener..... Assuming they dont have an e-bay set up that is SW
  12. Of course matey, if its flyable I will be in the field from about 09:00 until 17:30 Dan you need to start on the Nav Ex stuff. Make sure you have got a good tank of juice and comms, we will go for a fly together and you can lead the way on a planned route. Do you have an airmap, and a compass? I have one you can use if needed but bring your own if you have one (and suitable case to fly with of course) Time to do some decent XC stuff Yipppeeeee O and bring a camara for your training blog and album. SW
  13. Slim, It may also be worth a mention that you have changed the speakers and only had one very short flight to test it matey It will let you down on a decent XC I bet you. SW
  14. I Am too ashamed to say LOL Yes SW
  15. No net yet LOL Finding it great now I have GPS J and a 2 gb card. I can take an hour of DVD quality video on it now Just porting numbers and ending contracts e.t.c SW
  16. All, Please go to Kit, Other, Props to continue this thread. I have already started it. SW
  17. Sally Ann, As suggested, I will get the motor there for you on Friday.......... You may be closer to your first flight than you think. SW
  18. All, A student 'dinked' the demo Parajet that I have here the night before last (wait for blog). Only one blade got it and the frame was 100% true, due to the strength of it. I am going flying Yipppeeeeee.............. SW
  19. Form what little I know about the subject of adjustable props.... I had a Student here yesterday who flies a Gyro Coptor / Plane. He has ground adjustable props. Both him and the only one other person I know to have played with them on a Paramotor have said that you will spend a load of time getting it wrong, messing up the pitch and you will wish you could just bolt a prop on a forget about it. I can see NO advantage to having a ground adjustable prop. Also, ref the cage and the brake handles, Therre is the option to cover this upper cage with netting at the point of purchase when you buy a Parajet. The Frame sections are £90 per section, which is way less than others. (that even includes the Titanium frame) which I argue is the strongest Paramotor frame in the global market today. Let us know how you get on with your prop and if you ever adjust it one you have it set up correclty. SW
  20. Hi Sally Ann, A) you wing is old and slow (for training not flying) so when the wind is on the upper end for a forward launch (like today) you wing will struggle to penetrate in to wind. The new RE Actions / Synthesis wings fly much faster. B) When you have a motor on your back pushing you, you will find it much less effort to penetrate into wind. In a nutshell, your wing is not up to the job. SW
  21. I too will be in the field tomorrow. I will be there from 0900 ish. SW
  22. Mate, If you can save £75 do it. note...... Dont dink them and you wont need to buy them. SW
