  1. Could the 30 degree heat kicked off thermals from the tarmac etc in a built up area cause your original problem? Not sure I would be brave enough to fly in those sort of conditions, but glad you are ok. Like others, thank you for sharing as it helps the rest of us so much.
  2. Not anything like this video, but the wind was very light on the ground last night and by 20.00 I really thought it would have calmed down. Not so however at 1000 feet as I found myself hovering for nearly 15 minutes. It was also a very slow approach on finals ?. My local wind turbine that was stationary when I left home was turning nicely when I got back at 21.30..........live and learn eh?
  3. I'd love to see a photo (or 2) of it. Having tried foot launch and now flying a trike I believe many more people could get in the air if they realized how much less physical and less stressful a set of wheels can make both the takeoff and the landing.........just not quite as adaptable to some ground conditions I fully accept.
  4. Great news. What weight did it finally come in at?
  5. Love him or loathe him, but I think Dell Schanze does a light trike at 26lbs. I believe there is a UK importer but don't know any details for sure. Flat top paramotors.

Hi Andy. I had a Honda Blackbird for 10 years, so similar to the Hayabusa (only better ). I wasn't doing the distance/mileage that warranted a bike of that size so my son bought it. I got a Yamaha Tracer 700 just before Christmas and really like it. It doesn't have the build quality of the Honda but is light and flickable and you can wring the throttle, which you can never do on a Blackbird and stay safe. I'm 62 now and certainly still hope to be riding into my 70's, but still hope to be flying a trike as well.............I certainly know one person of that age who flies the same type of trike and he's still ok with it. The only physical side is pushing it back up onto the trailer and I could even get a winch to help with that if I needed to. I'm not too sure about Ducati's. They sound awesome but will it get you home? Enjoy anyway. Guy

Motorcycling was my first passion, and I regard my paratrike as very much an aerial motorbike.............neither of which require particularly high levels of physical activity but both put a smile on my face
  8. Thanks Andy, much appreciated. Guy
  9. Hi Steve. Yes, I am hoping to get to parafest so that is a very good suggestion..........many thanks. Guy
  10. I was trained on a powered parachute wing, so little finesse required there.
  11. Hi everyone, just looking for a little guidance from more experienced pilots than me please. I fly a standard wing, Ozone Magmax under quite a heavy trike. I'm very happy with this combination and as I have been slowly building my hours I have been quite happy with adopting pretty flat turns.....very much as a change of direction rather than anything more. I am now looking to extend this (slowly and carefully at a good height) to tighter turns. Nothing extreme/wingovers, just a bit more 'interesting'. I always fly with a little pressure in both brakes, but would appreciate any do's or don'ts on this. I don't have a regular instructor available and no other flyers close by. Many thanks, Guy
  12. Mt trike was covered with seeds when I landed this morning too...........best flight in ages and well worth getting up (not as early as you though). I tried my Gerbing heated jacket for the first time........really toasty warm as it was a bit chilly. My only problem was coming down............a couple of thermal close to my strip lifted me back up and even with engine off I wasn't altogether sure I would get down before the end of the field, but all ok in the end
  13. And I'm holidaying in Norway for a week from Saturday...........typical
  14. Great stuff, a pleasure to watch. What camera do you use in the wing?
  15. I've been following your vlog all the way............so sorry to see this.
  16. Do you notice any difference to handling between neutral trim and fast when general flying around?
  17. Sometimes it just helps to support the lines away from the wheels while you are getting into the machine
  18. I use short lengths of cable ties taped on vertically to the outer edge of the frame...........these are strong enough to hold the lines at a convenient height but if any of the lines slip over them during the launch, they don't offer any resistance to the lines running back over them as the wing rises. I can photo if it helps.
  19. Looking good Andy. I don't have sufficient experience to give advice, but where would you go to get instruction on the launch technique for a trike rather than foot launch? I know how I do it but that doesn't mean it's right. Can anyone else give some pointers?
  20. Hi Andy. I'm just the other side of Kidderminster (on the way to Ludlow). I'm in Kinver next week on a job.
