  1. Simon let us know how you get on with the insurance people. GaryH
  2. Is there drinking at the flyin? GaryH
  3. Really good article and pictures Steve. I had a tear in my eye remembering the weekend step by step. GaryH
  4. I'd be in, it's nice down there and there's proper pasties. Although I'm really flexible, apart from my left shoulder, advance dates for all fly-ins would be good for all of us. GaryH
  5. Fantastic weekend! Great people. Thanks to Simon and both Colins. Nigel, Jackie, Katy etc etc
  6. Richy, I've got myself a small mini van. It does get stuffed to the gunnels, but would probably be able to take at least your tent and some other bits to the Fly In and back. That's if you've still only got your bike. I'm down week before and week after Fly In at the Membury "Hilton"!
In case you've forgotten I'm the fat, baldy, Scottish guy with moustache and normally pink/red from the sun.
    Regards GaryH

After 2 Bore Chasers I want to post my TripAdvisor bit in no particular order: Everyone gets on, friendly, no matter who they are, whether they are new or not, with no pish. (I’m Scottish and pish is a word no matter what the autocorrect says). BIG speakers and Music – massive mix of all types. (Though I’ve not heard any Doris Day yet – why not)? Huge fire pit with pub bench/table type seating around – always a draw for parawaiting/paratalking and non flyers. (Bring your own seating if you want to be more comfortable and wood if you want to be extra warm). Massive totally flat field separated into flying and camping areas – no walking half a mile to fly, just jump over the tape but don’t break it. (NO starting of motors in the camping section allowed)! Gorgeous, excellent and varied food provided by the gorgeous Nigel and even more gorgeous Jackie – (some of the other staff are gorgeous too, but the food is good and you will never manage a Nigel burger on your own). “Pigs Ear” a local brew is often served which is why I can’t remember most of the weekends there. Posh bogs – Wish I had taken photos to post. These are better than any house toilets with soft music, décor including pictures and wood panelling. You won’t believe it even nice perfume being sprayed into the air. There is a rumour that there may even be showers this time. Large briefing/shelter marquee. With regard to shelter I think Simon has the ear of a weather deity as it’s not normally needed. Thunderstorms etc forecast but every time there has been a window(s) for anyone wanting to fly. Little Col. He especially likes motors starting before 9am, but especially at 5am. Accommodation. I’ve only visited to pick up Pete B etc, but they look really nice, clean and modern. They are a bit of a trek away from the camping area and you’ll need transport to get back there. http://www.cottages.com/cottages/milton-end-farm-barns-the-dairy-30816. Contact Kathy Turner on 07970 771 039 for information, availability and pricing. Children. Surprisingly there can be quite a lot of little “Minions” running around, sometimes so small they’re only crawling! If you’ve not been there before the first thing to do after signing in; walk up the small slope to the river. I cannot explain it, you have to see it! 90% of people reaching the top say f*ck! Thanks to Simon and Colin. Oh yes there’s the Bore Tide as well! I’ve forgotten loads of other things. GaryH

For anyone using sat nav that has not been there before - why not? lat 51.796075, long -2.409045 or N51.796075, W2.409045. This will take you to the farm gates, enter and keep going straight for quite a while to the end of the road. It's always a blast!!

“anything you can buy from a fish and chip shop will be available”. So deep fried battered haggis, battered deep fried pizza and deep fried steak pie? (I’ll not mention Mars Bars cause that’s just silly). I'm sure it'll be great!
  12. I'm going to try and sell him my lucky helmet for around £3,300. - It's worth it!

  21. mahmood next summer flyin at your place?
  22. I'm guessing that Simon's Ipad mounting is simple. Get yourself a helicopter then a license to fly it. Place the Ipad on the spare seat! GaryH
  23. The right to roam in Scotland does "legally" exclude motorised sports. I assume the motorised bit was included to stop off road motorbikes tearing up the countryside. Gary
  24. Just found out the radio comes expanded from the supplier. Knew I should have switched it on first! Now need to work out where the blue speaker wire attaches to the board as it broke off. Think it’s just to the left of the red wire. Then job done.
  25. I've looked at many many sites with only a couple of suggestions. Cut the blue wire bottom right of the keypad. I've taken it to bits and there's no wire. Help anyone?
