  1. Yes. I'll measure it up etc and get an estimate for delivery to my favourite city of Portsmouth! I'll let you know. PM me if you need other details. I would attend next fly-in, but my tent is still bust from the Cornwall event just before covid. Gary
  2. Hi, I've got a Parajet Falco Trike (tandem capable), retail £3,000, flown once (loctited frame) - £1500. (I'm 20 miles north of Glasgow). Gary
  3. Hi, Back axles complete with wheels come off easily. Most of the rest is bolted together. It's made by parajet specifically for the V3. V3 attaches/detaches via 4 points. Have a look on the PJ site for Falco. Gary

Sorry. I can't attend this one. All the best for everyone going.

  8. Si, I don't drink so I don't want to bring alcohol! (BTW already at Membury so it'll not be long). GaryH
  9. Hi, I've just found that one of the captive/sewn in plastic buckles on my harness has broken off and is missing. My V3 Parajet harness is 5 years old and has a few of these. The missing buckle is for the leg board adjustment. I've managed to botch a non adjustable repair. Any ideas on a replacement as I don't like the idea of having to undo and resew the harness loop? GaryH
  10. There I was in my 3M lakeside mansion with my 20 yr old wife as we were about to get "busy" when there was an almighty sound from the air above! Again and again it came round. So close I could see a small face on the pilots glove.

Already 120 going and limit reached in 2 days! Guess I'm not going then.
  12. Got my trike in the air on Friday. After a couple of failed launches, I shortened my a-assists by putting 4 knots in them, but I never rechecked the length. Only 4 small knots eh! Nil wind take-off with no drama until about 50 feet off the deck. Realised I was having difficulty getting altitude. A-assists really tight and I could not get them off. About 200 feet tried two more times to release them. With difficulty gained a bit more height and tried turning, but wing not reacting until I put big brake in and even then it was a struggle. All the time I was rolling side to side as the wing was trying to fly, but was fighting the a-assists. I was expecting a frontal collapse at any moment. Eventually let off the power, swung back then forward, assists went slack and I frantically un-clipped them. What I should have done then was to do a circuit to clear my head, but no. Came in to land and did the classic no-no. A low altitude power on to miss a bush and then power completely off. I slammed into the deck bending both back axles and buckling the front fork. I’m okay apart from a few bruises and loads of bent metal. Won’t do that again. My lesson learned? Always check your gear twice after any adjustments no matter how small. Gary
  13. Do you find it "self steers" enough that you don't need the foot steering and only use the wing brakes?
  14. As Steve says any forecast is just a guide. I generally use www.windy.com (looks cool and does wind estimation at heights) and WeatherPro app. If they both "line up" more or less then I get a good idea, but always check on site.

Would have loved to sledge down that banking!
  16. Got mine last year. Before purchase repeated emails to PJ asking about length, width (with and without rear wheels), height and weight. Only reply I eventually got was that it was around 30kg. When I weighed it it was 40kg!
  17. If its got the electric start option cover the air intake with your hand while starting.
  18. Neilzy, Me up to?? Nothing... Wasn't me. I wasn't even there!! It was some other big kid that did it and ran away.
  19. Cheers guys. I'll have a re-think. My master plan was as below.
  20. Andy, Thanks for that, will give it a go. I only need to knock it out and I'm not going to replace it. For ease I might just saw the thing off. Gary
  21. Hi, Must be easy enough, but how do you get the swing arm off a parajet v3? Gary
  22. Naw I mean it man. Sell yourself. Totally flat field No paragliding b*shit How many acres? School gear refreshed and brand new last year Airspace good Instructor Colin is Scottish and never stops Places to stay nearby. Weather window is the only problem. In the summer look for big stable slow moving Highs. GaryH
  23. Hi Neil, Welcome to the forum. Simon is only 300 miles from you. As it's worth it I travel the 400 miles regularly. There is CloudBusters who fly near Abington. When I looked at them a few years ago they taught paragliding, then conversion to paramotoring (with your own kit) and only on flyable weekends. GaryH
  24. I skimmed this post and thought you said one of his parents. I thought okay Mick Jagger is 72 and his current wife is 29, so maybe! After re-reading all I can say is tw*t. We all f up, but if it’s who I think he’ll be okay in time - He just doesn’t know no yet. GaryH
