  3. Hi All, I' m intending to go to the above show on the 29th and as I have a people carrier thought I could make it a paramotorclub outing. there are 5 seats left so if you have an interest drop me a pm and I'll put you on the list. Departure time and meet up location to be arranged and cost would be a couple of quid towards fuel and entry to the show. If there is more interest in going on the 30th we'll do that so let me know on your pm. Cheers Col......... Show details here http://www.theflyingshow.co.uk/

  8. Hi Joe, Its fairly easy to do yourself on most wings. Give the Loft or Aerofix? a shout and tell them the wing details and the line required they will make a line the correct length and post it to you then just swap out the broken line for the new one. Always do one line at a time and you can use the matching lines on the other side to make sure that the knots all match. Then take it for a ground handle to make sure it flies as it should and the right lines are in the right place. Thats about it. Hope that helps . Cheers Col.
  9. No brainer with the wing you can start your training but all you can do with the motor is run up and down the garden till the neighbours complain then sit and polish it till you get a wing and then some more while you learn to ground handle Just my pennys worth. Cheers col....

Dont know what your all on about I'm neither up or down on the weight thing but muscles are much more toned now.
  11. Hi you could convert it to an F4 by fitting the bigger cage and prop which would give you a bit more thrust or you could add the tuned head and exhaust turning it into an A3 (you would have to change the prop as well to the A3 spec) or you could do it all head, Exhaust, cage and prop and turn it into an A4 which is ment to have sufficiant thrust to fly tandam. Check out prices for the parts you may fint its more economic to sell the F3 and buy a more powerful set up. Cheers Col... P.S. If you bought an adjustable pitch prop it might save you some dosh as you could tune it to match the engine. Hope thats of some help...

  14. Hi All, Just back from the club flyin. Excellent event superb company. There was a weather window on Sat night about 3/4 hour before sunset. The wind dropped to nil and 3 or 4 paramotors took to the air for a quick sunset flight. Once every one landed the fire was light and barbie warmed up beers were popped and the camp fire social was in full swing. It will be on my calender for next year thats for sure. Thanks everyone it realy is " The pilot's who make the party" . Cheers Col...........
  15. Hi Slim, As long as am not in work I'll be up for that. Cheers col....
  16. Hi All, What an excellent day and many thanks to Parajet for their hospitality. Really enjoyed putting those nice shiny new bits together. What well enginered kit the Parajet is and to have Witters able to take his motor down to cornwall running and ready to go, just needs run in, was really satisfying. Look forward to hearing about your maiden flight with her Witters get to know her well after all your going to be spending quite some time in intimate contact just hope theres no pressure sores by the end Cheers Col....
  17. Hi, Had a bit more of a think about this and the wing and the motor exist that will fly you no problem but I think the bit that will take a bit of research and hunting will be to find a harness to fit you. Your size might mean that low hangpoints on pivot or fixed arms wont work as they tend to be a set distance apart so prob have to go for high hang points to give the the required width of harness. Maybe have a look at the black hawk range from the States as they are built with the larger size American in mind so should have a harness option that will work for you. Good hunting. Cheers Col......
  18. Hi, Give Simon a call 07983 428 453 I'm sure that he would be happy to give you training or advise on instructors closer to you. A tandam wing and a Parajet Macro or similar should get you in the air. I know Simons got a Macro for training but you may have to get your own wing as I dont think he has a tandem. The ground school stuff can be done with a smaller wing obviously better with the wing you intend to fly but not imperative. Hope thats some help. Look forward to hearing about your first flight. Cheers Col......
  19. Hi Simon I.m up for two of those please. Cheers Col....
  20. Hi Daz, Glad you enjoyed the day. Really enjoyed reading your training blog and although getting in the air might feel a million miles away to you it wont be too long before its just a few steps with the right input's on the steering lines and throttle and you'll be there. See you on the field for another crack at those blisters. Cheers Col... P.S. its 26 square meters not feet afraid you'll have to go metric for flying except for height which is usually always in feet and is a different measurement from altitude which can be in feet, meters or barametric pressure depending . Oh and speed which can be in KPH or Knots or MPH or m/sec or f/sec see easy .
  21. Hi Jon, Just to let you know you did well for your first day and like I said on the field use the time till you get to the field for your second day to mentaly rehearse what you have learned ( which is a lot though you wont think so just now ) and you'll find it will come together when you put it into practice. Looking forward to seeing you again. Cheers Col....
  22. Hi Phil, I think your right it isnt thee same the only diffrence's between the A3 and the F3 that I know of is the tuned head and exhaust and the rev counter /hour meter thats in the throttle grip. Oh and a slightly different prop to make use of the increase in power and thrust the tuned components give . If anyone knows different then do tell. The shoe box exhaust would work but you would notice the drop in power and it may not rev out with the A3 prop being a bit coarser pitch. I think its the shape of the exhaust pipe thats important so you could get away with fitting a motorcycle silencer of roughly the same size as the original. Thats what I would have a go at first. Cheers Col.....
