  1. Hi Farmer Dave, Must have missed the end of your post last I read it ref: the kenwood/ alinco two pin plug. I think I'm right in saying that they are different as in the pins on the kenwood plug are slightly further apart, enough to stop then goin into alinco holes, there may be a difference in the wiring of the respective plugs but I would only be guessing on that one ( no pointy hat and cape you see). Another web site that sells all different kinds of comms headsets is here www.ixcessory.com they are pretty cheap and about 4/5 days for delivery. Hope that is usefull and not too late . Cheers Col
  2. Hi All You have to have the Risk and Reward DVD lots of good stuff. Also found Ground Handling- The Art of Kitting useful and informative if maybe a little patronising. Got to agree with you on the book front The PPG Bible is excellent. I would add Paramotoring From the Ground Up and The BHPA's Pilots Handbook to the list as there is a good spread of information in them particularly Airlaw and metorology in reference to this country. Of course when it comes down to it I think we would read or watch almost anything if it was about paramotoring well at least I know I do. Off now to see if I can get a copy of Mad Mike's ground handling book see what you started Norman. Cheers Col....

  10. Just to bring everyone up to date got the cdi unit from adventure. Had to do a little re wiring as they had changed the design slightly but easy to do as long as you have the wiring diag. Banged it all back together, primed her up and pushed the button......... pause for effect.............. and she roared into life setteling back to a nice tick over. Since then I,ve had a few flights and she's as sweet as a nut. Many many thanks to Chris for the use of a corner of his workshop and all those nice shiny tools to use. Cheers mate was much appreciated as was all the coffee and advice.Top bloke. So alls well and Im back in the sky roll on summer.
  11. Hi Again, just had a thought about what I said about cutting off a half inch of uprights if you drilled out the rivits holding the two ally tubes in the body that the cage mounts on and move them or change them till the cage fits right then rivit them back in place would save any welding. At least I think that would work. Cheers Col
  12. Hi Afraid I dont know of anyone in your area that can fix it but chris h on this forum done a lovely job on both my adventure cage and Normans parajet cage. Maybe a trawl through the yellow pages or the like you would find welders and fabricators in your area one of them should be able to do ally. The Adventure cage is particularly flimsy and through my experiance ( 2 props and 1 and half cages) will destory its self and usualy the prop in any sort of hard ( read overly firm ) landing and I would highly recommend replacing the adventure cage with a Nirvana cage. The built quality is vastly stronger, better finish as well, will take the occasional duff landing . Only unfortunat thing is that you cant realy do it a section at a time as the end finishes at the cage joints are different also to make it fit the moulded chassie properly you have to take a half inch off the bottom uprights where they plug into the body and adding it to the top ones in the same place. I know it sounds a fagg but its well worth it I havent done any part of a cage or a prop since I fitted it and not all my landings have been great. Its or at least was the same price as the adventure one which the first time you trip will return to their original form tent poles. Also the weeks wait for the replacement part to come from france can be frustrating, Nirvana stuff is avaliable from Pendle ppg in lancashire so two maybe three days if its in stock. Although I havent checked it out the nirvana kit and the adventure kit looks pretty similar all over so may be a good source of other spares for our adventure stuff . If I get any more info on that I,ll let you know prob via this forum. any way hope that helps. One last bit if your ever looking for a new prop TP propellors do one that suits our kit and if I remember right was about £75 delivered. A little less thrust and not as nice a finish as the original adventure one but does the job with a little less torqu due to being lighter and at less than half the price. Hope your back in the air soon. Cheers Col.....

  19. Hi All, I have my Action 27 paramotor wing for sale it is a 2004 model with no rips, tears or repairs. Suitable for pilots with an all up weight of 75 to 105kg's. It comes with a stuffa sack and the optional tip steer kit fitted. This is a very stable wing which would suit a new or intermediate pilot. It is in the "Hornet" colour's ( Yellow and Black ) and in generaly good condition. Selling due to upgrading to a shiny new Reaction. More info can be found here http://www.para2000.info/wings/index.html Usual warnings, paramotoring is a dangerous sport without the proper training so get some. I will bear no responsability for any damage or injury caused by the use of this equipment. Also advise for your own peace of mind to send it to a paragliding service centre for a service. Asking price for club members is £500 it is advertised on Ebay with this as a starting price. If you would like to see a photo have a look at my Album it is the wing in the Ayrshire coast shots Cheers Col....
