  1. Hi Alan, I fly an Adventure A3 and have got a few contacts for spares. Adventures own site will get you all the spares but at a cost. For cages would reccomend getting a Nirvana one much better quality less likely to bend and do your prop in a minor spill. Needs a little adjustment either cut half inch off the bottom bit where they go into the tube in the chassie and add it to the top or drill out the rivets on the tube and move the tube up half inch and re-rivet. Props I get either from TP propellors in Thailand at 75-80 quid delivered or I've got a ground adjustable coming from GSC systems in Canada I think thats 130 quid delivered. Mojo's gear in the states does almost all the spares and with the exchange rate just now has to be cheaper than buying in france. Other than that keep an eye on ebay just recently I picked up a new condition harnness and a fuel tank for my A3 on there. Hope thats some help. Cheers Col....
  2. Hi Francis, Would love to be the P2 I'm light and sleek but we will have to work on the photogenic bit. Though they can do wonders with make up these days . Never been a world record holder before. Cheers Col....

  4. Hi Tony A good in the field guide is about the thickness of your thumb nail. Good to hear I was only 0.0149597 of an inch out Col...
  5. Hi Tony, Sounds about right to me just a little less than 1mm. Havent really moved over to metric my self much more comfy with feet, inch's and thou's standard plug gap is about 30thou but not super critical. As long as it makes the engine go broom its fine. Cheers Col......

    strobe light

Hi, Well here's a quick update. The unit arrived fairly quickly from the states probably faster than if I'd bought in this country. It is very small the electronics ( small control box and leads ) are inside the bag which looks like a pencil case ( probably what it is the wallmart tag on the inside gave the hint ) with the light mounted on the outside. The light is composed of flat LED's around the sides with slightly domed ones on top. I havent used it in anger as yet but is fairly bright when used with two nine volt batterys as per the instructions and flashes in a double flash space double flash rythme. Even brighter when clipped onto my paramotor battery. Gave it a bit of a shake and gentle kick about the floor and that did'nt seem to bother it just kept working although if I was going to use the 2 X 9volt option I would cable tie the battery's together as there is a chance they could seperate. There is a flying lead with croc clips on the end that gives you the option of powering the unit from the 12 volt battery in the paramotor assuming that your motor has one and I would/will use this option . The bag its all in could be made half the size and still be ample for housing the electrics as the largest thing (apart from the light ) is the control box which is about the size of a match box. For the price I'm happy with it. Once I get my lazy butt in gear and get it fitted and wired in ( going to change the clips to a plug in connector ) hopefully I'll get some feedback from others as to how noticable, bright it is. I have shown some of the lads what its like on the ground so if you guys could post you thoughts it would give a bit of an independant view on the thing. I'll post some photo's when I've finished these night shifts I'm on. For the money not bad even if you bought two or even three its cheaper than the alternative high end kit and in my opinion a bit more rugged. Cheers Col....
  8. Well done Mrs Dan .So can Dan get out with us Thurs or not then Cheers Col.....
  9. Hi All, Check out this vid and there are quite a few more on there. Bet you want one
  10. congrats and good luck. That mean you'll make Thursdays trip after all.
  11. I'm pretty sure that the throttle can be mounted either side so not really an issue and as I said in my post more than likely a few more flights would get me used to it same as jumping in a new car with the indicators and windscreen wipers on the opposit side from the old one a few journys and it feels natural but those first two or three times you'll do the wrong one. Cheers Col...
  12. Sounds good to me as long as thats ok with you Slim.. Col..
  13. Hi All, Finaly got round to trying the Parajet Micro at Simons the other day and must admit I was impressed. As the regulars on here will know I normaly Fly an Adventure A3 which has high hang points so was a bit concerned about trying the low hang point of the micro expecting it to be very lively in comparison. Well I was pleasently surprised that although it does transmit more information about what the wing was doing above me it was in no way as scary as I had imagined in fact I felt very secure and comfortable in the air. There was plenty of thrust from the unit probably more than my Adventure and it fired me off the ground with ease on what was a light wind day. Pretty easy to get into the seat as well thanks to Simons tips on how to adjust it for me. The cage is so small that the lines did'nt even touch it on a forward launch. Realy enjoyed the weight shift aspect of the motor and entertained myself with circling the field in both directions hands off just by leaning in the desired direction. Not that keen on the throttle design but that is probably just a matter of getting used to it. It just felt a bit clumsy also its on the opposite side from what Im used to right handed opposed to my normal left hand throttle on the Adventure. Im sure that a few more flights and it would start to feel more natural (Hint). The action on the throttle was very smooth and progressive. Also I didnt have anywhere near as much tourqe steer as my Adventure and flying in a straight line hands off was a no brainer just look where you want to go and it went. All in all a lovely machine to fly. Very comfortable, plenty of thrust, responsive and secure. Thanks for letting me have a go Simon was much appreciated and must admit I would really like one. I'll have to get some O/T at work sorted out. Cheers Col....

    strobe light

Hi All, Being a bit on the tight side I was'nt going to get a strobe as they seemed awfuly expensive just for a flashing light but I found this site http://strobes.ppgtransporters.com/ and have ordered one should be here by next week if the delivery times advertised are correct. If its up to much ( at $30 = £17+change I'm not expecting it to be top of the range) and is sturdy enough to last a season I'll be happy. I'll post an update and mini review when I get my hand on it watch this space... Cheers Col.....
