  1. Hi Again Morgy, I am the reverse, l have visited Devils Dyke many times, thing is when l have my flying gear in the car the dykes weather is rubbish. If l turn up without kit 'cos Jackie just wants a jolly down the coast its steaming with pilots and the weather is great. (l shouldnt go up there without kit, frustrating lol) Pilots fly from Lambourn, Basingstoke, Normandy nr Guildford, Alton and l am sure there are many other sites even l don't know of. Mike
  2. Hi pete, off to give her the good news rofl. Mike
  3. Its a long way but by all accounts it will be worth it. I will be leaving Farnborough around 0400hrs Saturday morning, if Jackies awake she will be joining me "LoL". Regards Mike
  4. all, yep a great idea. On the ground (groundcrew) or flying, all good bonding stuff eh! especially with a pub lunch. Hope the dates you choose are free for everybody. Mike
  5. Hi Sam, Its good you have booked a course, as for your wing, if it used to fly then the twists are what you said, just twists. You should not need to dissconnect anything. Secondly don't be tempted to ground handle on your own without some advice. If you havn't been introduced to a wing before now and especially in high winds it could bite you. There should be someone around the Rutland area that can and will help you as the flying community in this sport arer very freindly. Mike Take care and wish you well in your future flying.
  6. Hi Pete, If plans go well and the weather is with us l will be flying in with Paul Sayers. We will take off from Basingstoke and land at the Flag pole before the midday thermals kick in. Mike.

    looks interesting

all, l got there about 8am and it was blowing about 17mph with little gusts and complete cloud cover, but about half a dozen went up about 10ish for a jolly with no problems. The main briefing was at 1115 by Michel and Laura and shortly after that about a third got away. There were organised fuel stops including two additional ones 'cos of the high winds. If l heard right there were slight problems around the Reading area. There were a lot of pilots just flying around Barry's field, me included (the Motor behaved itself but it was quite bumpy when l was up) l was glad when i did fly as about ten minutes after landing the winds really picked up again. The rest of the pilots on the trip decided to drive to the half way point (a microlite airfield) About 1630 any remaining pilots either camped for the night or left. All in all a great first day. Mike.
  8. Hi, yes they are great designs, and as said above, if the "T" shirt and print quality are durable it will be a good seller. The only other thing is that pictures say a thousand words so perhaps a large logo and two or three large words rather than a three line paragraph would say a lot more. But good luck and look forward to seeing some of your work soon. Regards Mike

    parajet

Yep l agree with Pete, Parajet have gone all out to sort my motor out and l flew it last Saturday with no problems since the service. (although l didn't fly long as to give it a chance to bed in) will be flying it again at Barrys field after the round London pilots have taken off. Mike
  10. All, left Farnborough and the rain at just before midday and got to the flagpole where the weather was good for flying. My machine has had its problems but l would like to thank the staff at Parajet for there help in getting me and my machine back in the air. I had a good half hour flight today, good take off but took it easy and stayed in sight of the field just incase. I varied the throttle quite a lot as Parajet had renewed practically the whole of the engine and so gave it a sort of run in period. Landed, although beyond my intended spot due to rising air from the edge of the field. Many thanks to Dave (Outcast) for bringing back my wing and Mark (photographic) for carrying my bits. (Will have to get fitter ) All in all a great day. may there be many more. Mike S
  11. Hi Pete, glad you had a good day, and good to hear new fledglings are going through. The fly in should be very busy this year. I was at Weymouth today (Sun) and it would have been good if l had my motor but l took my PG gear and sat by the cliff at Beer Head and groundhandled all day. Jim (PJ) has promised to get my motor back and operational by the 18th April. I still have a few DVD's (Fly Another Day) left so if anyone lives near Farnborough, Hants and wants one, give me a call. I will also be at Barry's field on the eighteen for the start of the round London Paramotor flight and will bring the rest of the DVD's with me. Regards Mike

    PMC Flying 'Oxfordshire'

Hi Simon, great news, hope l have some sought of propellent to get me in the air by then Mike
  13. Hi Simon, you could rent it out to safe pilots (mines having a rest at Parajet again)
  14. Hope the weather's ok Paul, looks like l will be freeflying if weather on our side. Motor back at Parajet (apparently its the timing this time) getting sorted once again. If the motor comes back as good as the last prop l flew with l may be in with a chance. If it fly's well this time l may even leave the airfield and go XC. haha Mike
  15. As once again l have no motor l will be at Combe Gibbit PG'ing. so if you fly over that way give us a wave. Parajet once again is going to look at my motor on Monday (once again fingers crossed for a good permanent outcome THIS time) Yes it was good last Sunday. This Sunday l will be at the BFR. Mike
  16. All, what a great day for weather and flying buddies. good to put names to faces once again. especially the comical ones on this forum (didnt reckognise you Dave LOL ) Anyway the good news is l had a good flight but stayed local as my motor wasn't quite right (first flight since Parajet fixed it) and just before my landing approach my engine finally packed in. On inspection found there was no compression so it looks like it could be the piston again. Popping it down to Parajet on Monday. Back to a waiting game again l suppose, but glad to get out today. it's been a long wait. It was just like a Fly-in day with at least a dozen motors either in the air or groundhandling, Three pilots flew in from other areas as well. Looking forward to a fixed flyable motor and getting down to the flag pole once again. The weather this year has promised to be a corker. (well we live in hope eh!) Safe flying Regards Mike
  17. Should be there around 1130 - 1200 Dave. Mike. Weather at mo is looking pretty good.

Well done Si, look forward to getting down to Lambourn and having a chat in the view of signing up with On Risk. Keeping everything crossed now for good weather next weekend. If anybody is at the Big Fat Repack on the 22nd l will be at the landing platform as usual. Say hello as wearing of helmets plus my eyesight its difficult to recognise you all. Regards Mike

  20. Hi Simon, This is great news, much cheaper than when l first joined the PMC. mind you there were not as many members then. Hope to see you Sunday Regards Mike
  21. HI Simon, bad news on car, its not the clutch, its the gear box and the cost has just doubled. and the new gear box has to be ordered. So, vehicle off the road until at least next Wednesday. Good thing is, it will give me a chance to respray the cage, fit the strobe back on, start it up, then look at it, walk round it, take a picture of it, fire it up a few times more, then put it back in the shed till weekend after next. So, guys, have a good weekend if this weather lasts, hope the track has dried out enough for you and l hope to see whoevers at the flag pole on the 8/9 March. Regards Mike
  22. Hi Simon, can l be one of the first to order the DVD of the trip, probably take a bit longer to edit than the T 2 T but l am sure it will be worth the wait. \mike
  23. Hi Simon, glad you got back safe, but a little early.I thought you said you be returning in March. Did you get a lot of tail wind Hoping the whole mission went well, look forward to the stories. Mike
  24. Yep, great pics Dan, am free flying this Sunday but hope to be up at the flag pole next Sunday now motor 100% up and running. Those pics of yours gives you the need to get up in the air ASAP. LOL. Mike
