Simon, as the vote is 83% at mo for changing the date and it looks likely to be wet anyway l look forward to the updated dates haha. Plus l havnt got my motor back from Gilo yet (Hoping to pick it up on Monday if they have finished it) Ya never know, we may have an indian summer
  2. Hi Norman, i was speaking to Simon about these three bladed adjustable props and he says that you have a set on your Macro. How are you finding them. I also notice above that Ian is having problems setting them up. Have you any pros and cons about using these types of props. l also believe they are less expensive than the standard two blade variety. Regards Mike

Francis, the 190 you have is mine but l have looked high and low for yours to no avail. If no one else has it and l can't find it, its best if you keep mine. Mike

    Parajet

Hi Dave, the Parajet range of motors are very good, you can't go far wrong with these machines and the Tip to Tip team are all flying Parajets. They come with alluminium or titanium cages and some pilots like to fit netting to them for added security in flight. They are easy to put together without messing about with velcro strips. And if any spares are required the Company are only in Mere if you need something quick. The back up service is excellent with Gilo and Marcus ready to help. Regards Mike

    All the very best

Hi Paul, many thanks for that. have a good holiday. Hoping the weather plays ball for you as well as us. Mike
  10. to all, The blue Makalu XL has now been sold. but still have the red XL Makalu if anyone interested. Still at £300, a bargain. Regards Mike
  11. Simon, what time do you think the first flight on Sunday will be. I will be there
  12. Hi Jon, why don't you pop down to Lambourn and/or sign up for a taster day. On a good flyable day there is usually a number of pilots in the field which l am sure will all be willing to give advice, some with many flying hours behind them. Its a great sport and once hooked your'll forever be looking up at the sky. Good luck in pursuing the sport of Paramotoring. Regards Mike
  13. The fly in at Weymouth turned out brilliant as l left Farnborough in pouring rain and got to The Fly in late afternoon. About 20 pilots were there and the first to take off was Sean Staines followed shortly afterwards by everybody else. The wind was perfect for a reverse launch and when everyone had landed we all got round the bonfire come BBQ for some good ol' flying chatter and liquid was running well. Sunday morning was a perfect day and nil wind. A handlful of pilots set off for Swanage and back Myself and Paul Sayers headed of to do a coastal run and back. The Revo performed well and the power launch perfected (cheers Dave). Many thanks for Ben for organising the event and such a picturesk venue. Mike P.S. 2 weeks to go.
  14. Hi Richard, They can be ground handled in light winds, but at your freinds weight if winds are a tad strong or he wants to free fly them then he is to light. These wings are size XL which is 95 - 130 kgs. In right conditions, ground handling will be great. i can bring them to Lambourn next time l'm down. Mike
  15. I agree with Francis and Malc, if you buy a replica gun, it doesn't fire real bullets. If l am dangling under a wing/canopy at 2 thousand ft l want to trust it and if makers can produce a wing for nearlly a quarter of the price l'd be a bit hessitant. Just to add l still have my two wings for sale that l don't use, both are flyable as Paraglider wings but l would not use them as PPG wings. If you would like to see them flown l can bring them to the field next time l'm down. As ground handling wings they would be great at the price. £150 for the Blue XL Makalu wing - - -- and £300 for Red XL Makalu wing. Regards Mike. 26 to go!! Pete
  16. all, shame l didn't make the saturday night festivities, it looked great with Dan's pictures. On the Sunday Jackie and l really enjoyed the social side as the wind socks were permenantly horizontal also to have so many pilots/people turn up from other clubs. Thanks go to SallyAnn and Bill for the field to play in, and Simon W for organising the event. Thanks for the massive bag of doughnuts Sunday morning, cheers for the oil Rob. See you all on take off soon. (four weeks to go ) Regards Mike and Jackie
  17. All, hope the weather is flyable for you all and have a great day Saturday .....bxxxxy working Saturday but will be down early Sunday morning. Slim, if you have any netting left l may have some off you. Rob, tried to ring you but no reply, can you bring some fully synthetic oil and also perhaps we can do a deal on a tiny tac. See you all Sunday Regards Mike
  18. Simon, thanks for the PM. just waiting for this wind to calm down a tad and will be out doing the wing thing
  19. Dave, I second simon's answer. I am 55 and arthritis in the legs but still manage a macro parajet. I must admit my now famous stool helps a lot. (your'll know what l mean if you see me at take off Mike
  20. Simon, will show you on the map Saturday when l get down to Lambourn Mike
  21. all, its all this good weather at last coming our way. Those frogs don't explode do they .... On a flying note, l have just received an email from the safety officer at Sky Surfers. They are having their Festival of Flight on 15th June at Butser between 1100 - 1500hrs. This year he has been given special dispensation (tinks that how you spell it) for paramotors to take part. His only request is that we phone him (l phone him) to say in what numbers are going to be arriving on the day. I will be going to show the flag sort of thing. The only thing that would stop me is if there is a definate T to T training day on that Sunday. All weather dependant of course. Also if it finishes at three, we still have about six hours of daylight left to train/play etc. Regards Mike
  22. looks like me as well, is the 28 available mike
  23. Hi Simon, had a good hours flight this evening, with three others at Alton. wind settled down very nicely. landed about 2100hrs. What are your plans for the weekend, the weather's looking promising. Regards Mike
  24. Simon, great video clip, and showed a great field to play in. Will play with mine when you get the second 28 on a big flat field near home and play with it every evening (we will bond haha) Weather looking good for weekend, see you all Sat. Mike
