  1. I had my landings nailed with my wing and walkerjet (low fixed hangpoint), but now i have changed to a fresh breeze monster (mid hang point comfort bar) my landings seem very fast and am worried about falling over as it is bound to happen at some point if i stumble. Any advice? i have started to round out about 10 ft then balance the amount of brake with the height above the ground until i hit it at full brake any ideas??
  2. when i learned to fly i was told not to buy a ground handling wing, so knowing it all, i did. looking back i would not have done it because its a waste of time (in my eyes). Different wings act differently and you will learn how to handle THAT wing, but you will have paid out money on a wing that you no longer need because you want one to fly with. As i say, just my opinion...... i do also have a ground handling harness which i use nearly every time i fly, its this one- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PARAMOTOR-PARAGLI ... 393wt_1167 It can be set for low mid or high hang points and because its just straps, helps you not get sweaty !! Hope that helps!

    Paramotoring boots

i have hanwags, and if you are asking if they are worth the money then i would have to say that i dont know, but what i do know is that i had a heavy landing 9 years ago wearing cheap boots and broke my ankle. I have never felt pain like it - 3 months in plaster! I am not going to take that risk again.......
  4. So, was it you?? small world if it was ........ viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4773

    PMs

When i try sending a PM it just stays in my outbox, what am i doing wrong???
  7. considered that but thought "what if it falls off in flight" best stick to ready made ones i think!
  8. the geko is accurate, its barometric! im just looking for more handy - ie a watch with it all!!
  9. re small field - at the fly in in sept i had to lift my legs up to go over the telegraph lines on the way out!!! Re Altimeter, i have been using a cheap (but researched) altimeter watch (atech) its got good resolution and was only £20. I also used a garmin Geko as the screen is customisable and i had it showing Altitude (barometric from sea level for my maps) Speed, time + distance (very useful as it starts automatically when you start moving). I have just bought a Suunto X10 and so far am unimpressed, takes forever to acquire the satellites (3-4 mins) and you have to have the trip computer running to do it, plus it only shows qfe altitude (thats what i use) speed and distance on the one screen, plus i have to start manually, then there was the price..... may swap back, ill give it a few more goes
  10. well done parajet, that is so good to here after all the shit i have had with another brand. more of the same please
  11. silly question, but why do you want a vario? do you intend thermaling?
  12. is this any good (it fits all (most) engines)? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Paramotor-Kit-Par ... 4942wt_941
  13. so it will be just me and you then, it seems! lets call it a date the best way to recognise each other may be if you wear your motor in the bar
  14. i a lardy bloke that gets out of breath climbing the stairs, and i fly one! if you get failed takeoffs (the early years) it is VERY tiring, but if you pull it up and throttle up and away its just like sitting in a chair
  15. Hi, anyone know who flew over Rugby with a green canopy on friday about 3.30??
  16. always up for a pub!, i think that there is only a few guys about in the are though, saw a green canopy motor on friday, anyone know who it was?
  17. thanks for the advice, ive just ordered a twin ring, red, posh ignition, comfort bar, 15 litre, monster!! im hoping that it is as boring as you say!
  18. well, the fly products was just a stop gap machine, big on power. i am thinking of keeping it for a while until the monster arrives, but the walkerjet....well.... They say that your second motor is the better choice so if i buy a new Fresh Breeze hopefully so, you just dont think about these things when you buy first time round, still older and wiser now!!
  19. valuable advice, thanks. I admit, one of my machines (that i bought second hand) has the comfort bar system and when i flew it i was very impressed (until the silencer fell apart and took out the prop!!), the anti torque system worked very well
