  1. Having learned last year on my Bailey, non electric, non clutched motor. All I’d say is, get both as a beginner if you can. They’re easier and safer. Allowing you to concentrate on the wing, not the big spinney thing...
  2. I just watched the video, I note you got a mention re the new v2 frame.... Any chance of a scoop? Thanks.
  3. I have mates in Stokesly, Battersby Junction and a few others places around there. They want me to come and fly up there this summer.. Hopefully, weather permitting I’ll manage it.
  4. Thanks Andy, I’m really looking forward to my first beach flight, but have no idea about the ‘logistics’.
  5. Did you take off on the beach Andy?
  6. Parajet mostly use Helix carbon fibre props. If it’s black, it’s carbon fibre.
  7. I wotked at Raleigh’s Special Bicycle Development Unit in the late 80’s/early 90’s. I was building Ti frames from scrapped Russian subs back then as they were industry leaders with huge stockpiles to sell at the end of the cold war. They also had huge tecnical knowledge of Ti manfacturing due to the space/nuclear programs.
  8. Subbed I look forward to seeing more of this quality footage, thanks!
  9. If it’s just an oil filter, you can get them here: http://www.sussexparamotors.co.uk/paramotor_spares/bailey_paramotor_spares/bailey_v5_oil_filter I love my Bailey/Zenith combo. The throttle response is great, it’s quiet and economical, as you say.
  10. I recently contacted Bailey for conversion parts to change from a Helix to an e-prop. All my emails were answered promptly and the parts sent in good time. The second time I’ve recieved this level of service. I’ve never tried to phone them but the email I used was: pb@baileyaviation.com Hope this helps.
  11. Hi Vince, How are you finding the tufftalks? They look perfect but have you found any negatives? Cheers.
  12. Hi James, Give Robert a ring, he’s a cool guy. The Wasp titanium is a nice light unit, well put together. I haven’t had a go yet. If you’re in the right weight range for the eos booster, check it out.
  13. Hi Cliff, I’ve had a similar problem with mine, I quickly tracked it down to the tickover jet being blocked. It’s an easy fix, this video will show you how.
  14. Just for info, The EOS 4 stroke uses a GY6 engine, as does Bailey. It's a Honda designed engine https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/GY6_engine. Setting the valve clearance should be no harder than on a Bailey.
  15. Hi again Matt, I found this video invaluable in gaining an understanding of air-charts, the whole series is well worth a watch..
  16. Hello all. I've been lurking for ages whilst training, but it's time I came out of the woodwork. I've recently completed my ground training and will be taking to the skies soon. As such, insurance looms high on my agenda. Looking at the Alan Thomas offering, it states 'Cover is only available to those that have met the training requirements of The Paramotor Club'. As I trained independantly, how do I meet these? Thanks in advance and I look forward to further posts regarding my first flight and sorting out the font size
