  1. Casper Just a quote from your link below: '1. Start your machine with it on your back. To my knowledge, no pilot has EVER been hurt when this is done. If necessary, get a helper to pull the cord after explaining how to pull the cord and avoid the prop.' Guys - this is just for me - it's my arse and my money Maybe the two guys who have just had the incidents this year said the same as you above, but I would prefer the quoted text above 'NEVER'
  2. Guys If anybody sees me starting my motor on the ground for ANY REASON, you have my permission to give me a kick right up the arse - please. I'll even buy you a pint that evening for the pleasure Note: Too many incidents happening with motors started on the ground.
  3. I recommend Flyspain too. Best Option is - Go for a week for the initial training, then maybe get further training from an instructor back in the UK. Yes, more expensive (in money), but getting the best of both worlds. If money was no problem I would go for a month
  4. Simon - Who is driving the van with the kit over this time??
  5. Yes you DO NEED ONE. I do recommend, because I used mine on the first trip to Spain. After showing the card I was put straight to the front of the queue and was treated as a 'private' patient. Col - good memories from the past
  6. Paul You're more then welcome to come down and have a chat or what ever? Where are you? Tony
  7. Yea, I can see it on a few photos. Just looks 'not-right', but as you say it is un-steerable. Routing on a parajet harness is straight forward so should be OK there. Cheers
  8. Guys I'm hoping someone can give me a simply logic explanation on this: Being a bad boy I've not had my reserve checked for 10 years so trying to be good I sent it off to Aerofix to be service. On opening the box I noticed that the two maillons are now attached to ONE maillon which goes inside the bag. I don't want to open the chute out, but can some explain why the two strops are then fixed to the one maillon. I have full faith in Aerofix, but a simple explanation would be very helpful for my mind?? Many thanks Tony (sorry for the large photo (can't reduce the size for some reason)
  9. Nearly, grabbed a hot cup of tea when I was foot dragging ...... LOL - No landed and walked over to Tim's better half and she was holding a lovely hot cup of tea English language - I hate it
  10. Sorry Tim, I didn't think you used the forum so much. Yes, we had our own little fly-in. Still remember that lovely hot cup of tea when I JUST landed
  11. LOL - I've only seen that happen twice at the airfield so far. One of those was Tim
  12. Steve - Yes, all mine, apart from 4 oldies who don't fly (nearly) - so yes all mine Anytime, just give me the details and I should be available Would be great to show you around Tintagel, Boscastle etc You can even park on my driveway if you want too.
  13. Guys from Cornwall come up to the Midlands / Norfolk for the fly-ins..........
  14. Do you think it is un-wise to keep a paramotor outside (undercover), in a shed or a garage during the winter??? I know I had rust spots on my Compact exhaust, but that was my fault for landing on the edge of a pond (a good few years ago ) I had to paint it with exhaust black paint every few years..
  15. My wording may be slightly wrong. I really meant dismantling/attaching it all to a bike safely seems a pain in the arse, but doable. I know/seen the Zenith can be assembled in 15 minutes
  16. Assembling looks like a right pain in the arse, but doable I guess. I'll never say 'I've no room in my car for this...' again.
  17. Well done, sounds like a normal first days lesson. Each step you progress you're find it difficult at first, then it becomes second nature. Then you move onto the next step. Learning all the time. Take/think each small step at a time, (this even counts for when your'e flying). This will then turn into a giant leap. I use to fly RC helicopters many years ago. Now, I fly and I've never touch them since.
  18. I did drop your number in a conversation, wrote it down on a note pad and left the PMC page open - never worked thou
