  1. I just can't do this, because I am not going, so why should I let my friends know about it...... Have fun...
  2. Better turn off 'Notify me of replies' - if not I might cancel my holiday.
  3. Will not be on this one - two week holiday in Greece
  4. Book me in for a leg wax, maybe nail cutting session - as long as I can grow some by then
  5. Paul Start training before the wedding date and not after the knot is tied. Lot harder mate when you're married Good luck Tony
  6. Andy. You can always sit on the ground, start the motor and warm it up (ensuring area behind is clear). Then either turn off and have an easy start while standing up, or if you have a clutch - carefully stand up while motor is on idle.
  7. Yep, seen after I watched it the second time. First time, I had my eyes shut when I saw the carabiner open
  8. Surprised how it 'flew so well' 'or fell so well' just dangling on one!!
  9. Ha Ha, Not what you're thinking about sorry, well, I'm not into that. I've seen a new check list on the take off procedure. The last one is 7. Check for straying pug dogs crossing your take off path. I guess you all do this without thinking ..... Tony
  10. Nice one Ivan - that's going to set the temperature even higher.......
  11. Tim I guess I am aware of this, but many other guys here and on FB have mentioned they use 50:1 (even less) and I did get the recommendation from Parajet - even they used 50:1 on my machine (which is documented). In the past 6 months, Tom's had more air time on my machine than I have and I was using 40:1. Cas - As per the original problem - starter cord seizing after 10 - 15 minutes flying. Then it's OK after 45 minutes. Very weird. So, not really yet, need a few short flights to confirm the ratio, with plenty of pug checking
  12. Not really 100% certain mine is that problem. Going to reduce the oil ratio next time and see if that works. Just got the motor back today, but have man flu. So hoping to have a fly maybe Thursday I'm be going even if the motor doesn't Tony
  13. Awesome Alan - Must be worth a beer from each 'student'. Cheap night for you then
  14. What would be good is an 'Expert in a field' just take a small group away and have a structured aviation/mechanical lesson. It would be time well spent and a helpful gap filler on a non flying few hours Tony
  15. Simon - Any reason why 'you' use 50:1 and not the recommended 40:1 for the Moster? Tony
  16. Only quoting these, because the manual states 40:1 using TTS I am noticing already on here and FB that there is a variety of different mixtures guys use on their motors, I'm presuming with not much effect!!
  17. So far all three are different!!!
  18. Guys This is a genuine reason why I'm asking this question and I'll explain after I get a few answers back: If you own a fairly new Moster Plus 185 what oil ratio and what oil do you use?? Many thanks Tony
  19. Paul Yep, great photos, but shame about the shirt tho Tony
  20. Danny Maybe the wrong forum to ask that question, because it is Simon's Forum. Totally owned and run by him If you live in Oxford, then you can't go wrong really. Short distance away, always there on a flying day, two other instructors around. Tony
  21. Totally agree Paul - Sounds like you had a great time over there. Did you meet Karan's family?. I think Karan would make a great host for a trip over. Tony
