  1. Well this is light! "Total weight 20 kg with optional titanium exhaust (ready to fly harness included) " Thats if taken with the Titanium exhaust. And only 1kg more with normal exhaust And includes electric start. High Hang points...Not so keen on that. I noticed they have cloth wrap around the exhaust like fress breeze. Could be very quiet? 64kg static thrust. 25hp at 9700 rpm, wow a high rever then from a 130cc! Electric start and centrifugal clutch! Sure is interesting. One thing that is weird, is the first picture top left on the Ultra 130 page. The prop looks bigger than the cage??? Must be an optical delusion! Mike
  2. Looks more like Tuesday <-> Wednesday now..... Mike

  7. Ok Dude Yes still looks gusty. Lets wait for a smoother day! Mike
  8. Oh yes. Only if the wind drops this afternoon. Looks a little better in Worcestershire than West Mids. Cheers Mike
  9. Hey Jock. You out at Powick this afternoon? Winds dying down hopefully. Mike
  10. Agreed. Back up to an external HD. The Hard Drive on my Mac Probook died after 6 weeks. They fitted a new one free of course, but the Data was gone. I could have had a recovery service try to get the data back, but it wasnt old enough to have much data on it. Mike
  11. Here's what I do. I have a quite a few videos on my website that have come from the Go Pro. I record at 720p and use Windows 7 built in Live Movie Maker. Import the .MP4 files from the Go Pro and edit etc. Save and upload to You-Tube. All really easy. Not full of fancy FX, but if you just want to cut out the bad bits etc and add some tranisitions it fine. For more fancy stuff I use Serif Movie Plus X3. Very cheap! If you call Serif direct and ask for special deals on Movie Maker you can get a great deal off RRP. Mike http://www.pmmike.com
  12. Yes, I can agree with Simon. I've used some well old fuel, with Castrol TTS added I have had no problems. I read the octane rating will go down, but didnt really notice any reduction in power. Thats how its worked for me! Mike
  13. Great work Jock. Looks like it got enough push to get you to cloud base! I'm sure it will beat the 10ft record of before. Give me a shout when you go for a test flight. Cheers Mike 07711 648661
  14. Good news there thanks. I have bought some memory maps, so ggod to know the older ones will still work. As far as the mac goes, I have no problem using boot camp and having both systems working with out any interaction between the two. In fact the macs seem to run windows 7 better than many other laptops! I dont want a Mac V Windows flame going on here. I use both and dont have problems with either system. Mike Bet someone cant resist a mac v windows war....lol
  15. Also I think Parajet can convert it to a full Parajet machine. They used to do this. Could be a cheaper way of getting a good modern low hang point machine. Check with Parajet! http://www.parajet.com/index.php?id=11 Mike
  16. I'm sure I commented on this before, as I have an Advance Epsilon 5. I then had it fitted with Paramotor risers, which have the twin per side hook in system. “Both in” to keep the Paragliding certification and the trimmers out for Paramotoring. I also contacted the manufacturer and had at best a vague answer, "yes, more likely to have a frontal collapse if trim out and full speed bar on full" I pushed to ask how likely this might be etc etc. Didn’t get a real answer. Anyway, in the real world flying, I tested out the speed range and gained a small increase in overall speed (just a few km's). So decided it was not worth the worry of a frontal and just fly in Paraglider mode. The wing is way to slow in any mode to keep up with the reflex wings, so now I use it for paragliding, or Paramotoring, if I want to go for height, as it is very efficient. Cheers Mike
  17. Same here Dan. I lost respect for him then too. Shame, as he is a very talented Pilot, but can't help himeself do and say stupid things.
  18. More info here..... http://www.flymecc.com/
  19. Give me a shout Jock, I am around other than friday and saturday the 17th and 18th Dec. I'll get a video of you getting over 20ft off the ground hopefully..... Cheers Mike.
  20. Nice one Jock. What do you think she weighs, all up no fuel? Any idea about thrust? Keep up the good work. Cheers Mike
  21. Hey Malcs. Been working away awhile myself. Now have some time home. Maybe we can get some airtime together? Weather window permitting. Cheers Mike.
  22. I use Serif Movie Plus X3 on the PC. If you phone serif up, you can get it real cheap if you haggle. Macs and PC's use the same hardware inside. It's the outside and software that is different. Mike
  23. hahahaha took me a second to realise he meant my knees and boots. They do look like little action men....lol Mike
  24. Nice one Alan. I am going to take my Fusion to the Long Mynd next time I go. Cheers Mike
  25. Had a fab flight this afternoon. There were big holes in the cloud, so I spiralled up through one (it was much bigger than it looked-- GoPro wide angle) and was rewarded with a very warm fantastic view. Here are a couple of stills from the head mounted video. Pics taken at about 3000 ft ATO Cheers Mike Click to view full size!
