    i was out over town the other night and the next day bumped into 3 different people 'was that you on that parachute/hang glider last night' grrrr, to the uneducated masses, do you ever get sick of repeating yourself....??     Hi Dan, yes we did have grins on our faces up there............ We were getting the creases put of our wings. Hoping to get down to Barry's down your neck of the woods for a few flights. Have got a few cross country flights in mind.................but as usual nothing happens unless someone plans it......me!!! heh heh! Pylons - yep have to respect them. They limit our take off if there is an easterly aspect wind, otherwise they run north/south so taking off isnt a problem! Pedham Place Golf Course to be exact..........in the boot sale field.     Bob and I had two brilliant flights, one yesterday and one on Wednesday. Shorts and tee shirts weather. Was so cool watching the cars queing at J3 M25 with people coming home from work, being above and being in your own little world..........................brilliant!!!! I often wonder what they are all thinking in their cars...................................... Roll on the next flight. Any body going to the Silverstone fly-in..................if it gets off the ground Mike

    Meds......................well done mate, excellent fly-in!! I'm back early................Kent is a long way! It was good to meet up with some old faces and meet some new. Hope you get to burn all that wood?. ...................so now that the farmer is hooked.......................when is the next one? Mike ps mental note to myself....'leave kids and other half at home' next time!!!!!!

    Well lets hope its flyable especially after all work the hard work that goes into having one! Friday looks about the best day for flying for me, so hoping to get my shit together (wifey and and kids) for an evening flight .............................not sure who are the lucky ones - them staying at a Travelodge or me in a tent? ...................................me in a tent!!!     Well it has to be flyable thats for sure as I am hauling all the way up from Kent with wife and two kids in tow. Will travel through the day as its north of the Watford gap.................it will be safer heh heh Weather will be the BIG factor thats for sure!!!! Otherwise it will be Blackpool and Alton Towers instead..........................my compromise with wifey! Praying for good weather Mike

    I have the above and I am looking to replace the existing airfilter for an after market type K&N filter only because the original air filter has the rubber perishing which means a new replacement unit is needed. My question is............will the carburettor need to be retuned with the new airfilter as I would of thought the airflow would be more efficient and hence the mixture leaner? Can anybody guide me here please. Many thanks Mike

    I agree with all comments above. Alan, I also take a step back in real 'bugger-all' wind but prior to the inevitable run, I also give a blast of air at 30-45 degrees, fanning as I stand stationary.............this gets air movement and gives additional aid to the wings inflation............................oh and it bloody works well!!!! The motor is only used as an aid in nil wind conditions otherwise the minor snatch technique for me. Mike

    Just so nobody thinks that nothing happens in the Kent area.......................We flew (well Lee did!) on Saturday (25.02.12), I flew Sunday with Vitaliy.........shame about Sasha's machine - fuel leak so no flying.....would of been second flight!!! I am flying with Vitaliy Tuesday and I will be attempting to fly again Wednesday as well!! Mike
