  4. If any body is interested to borrow, I have maps for both Northern and southern France for the Etrex HC on micro cards? Excellent detailing. Mike
  5. Now this sounds like the ideal way to learn to navigate! After watching the microlight program I fancy a challenge. Will need a lot of organising? Will it be like the program...............either maps or GPRS? Looking forward to it. By the way......where is the best place to get current air maps? Mike
  6. Hi Lee, Yes flying Sunday at 11am from Pedham. Vitaliy got in contact with me.........I havent got your tel number...........will PM mine. Ian you flying with us or are you flying Detling? Lee was looking somewhere closer to Maidstone. Either way might see you Sunday. Mike
  7. It certainly was an interesting program and entertaining...............................why does'nt the paramotoring club organise something like that? Or has it been done? Mike
  8. Ian, Bob and Lee flew on Saturday at Vitaliy's site with Vitaliy- I watched. Bob and Lee flew on Monday at a site i have at Pedham Golf course - I watched. All three of us then flew on Tuesday..........was brilliant! Yep......speak soon. Mike
  9. Hello Ian, Would be good to catch up!! Flew with Lee and Bob Tuesday and looking to get right right back into flying again!!! Give me a shout when you're up for it? mike
  10. Vinnie, Well first hand experience here. My instructor recommended a Nemo which I bought off him although I bought a brand spanking new revo with PAP ros 125 combo prior to training with him. Did my first couple of flights on the Nemo and that was it...........................Revo after that and never looked back!!! Still have the nemo..............but I would definately recommend a reflex wing for starters..............they are 'so-up-there' these days and a lot easier to use. mike
  11. Lee, Today turned out to be a good fly for both you and Bob!!...................not really jealous! Lets see if we can do the same tomorrow.................bringing my kit this time. Mike
  12. Simon, Havent received the cap but waiting in anticipation!!! For your information the cap comes off a 2007 PAP Ros125. I will let you know how fitment goes etc etc...........will probably do it over the weekend! Many thanks that man!!! Mike
  13. Ok Simon, will order one from net and will send you my cap and dimensions etc. Mike
  14. Simon, Can this kit be adapted for a PAP fuel tank? I understand that it probably requires simply trimming the probe length and drilling the fuel cap? Can you supply the kit.......................or adapt......................or is this being kept top secret for Parajet owners only - he he? Mike
  15. Simon, Can this be cut to length for various tank shapes etc etc? Mike
  16. I bloody hope good if not brilliant weather.....................................I havent flown since the France trip of last year.................................its been work, work, work, work and errr.................work!!!!!!!!!! So positive thoughts pleeeeeeease!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mike
  17. Neil, How early will you guys be on site Friday? Mike
  18. Well done Neilzy, I'm glad you mentioned the newby and low airtime pilots etc etc as they can feel rather intimidated at such events, I know i did at my first flyin. But like you say everybody is so welcome and approachable and as Outcast has mentioned it is good to glean information from the more experienced pilots etc. Sounds like the whole thing is coming together nicely......................fingers crossed for the weather. Mike
  19. Hi Mike. Thanks for the nice comment. Does this sensor provide just final few ltrs of fuel as a warning or does it come with an arm extension with float and follow the fuel level from top to bottom? If that makes sense. PS: Ive got a couple of tents going spare in the garage if you need another. Thanks for the offer of a tent ( I think I have plenty of them now) Yes it is a type of float that warns of fuel level at that point. You could have two lets say at 50% and 25% and they would be your warning levels (extra cable etc) This link explains how its done with pictures......... http://www.aerocorsair.com/id29.htm I have also been considering using a probe as per link below... http://shop.airworlduk.com/airworld-sol ... -142-p.asp The probe combined with this scooter fuel gauge as per link below..... http://www.lambrettaspares.com/sparepar ... 00014.html I think I prefer the scooter gauge and probe as that will then monitor fuel level from top to bottom? I also like the idea that the probe can be trimmed and fitted to any fuel tank? Power would be from rechageable batteries etc etc I think I will experiment with this and see what happens etc etc? Hope my above thoughts are of use/interest etc. Good luck on your trip.........please post and let me know how you get on. Mike
  20. Hi guys, I intend to fly down to circa Robertsbridge as my brother lives down that way and he tells me I can land and take off in playing fields there. Friends own a pub in Robertsbridge so the idea is fly down, one drink and fly back. That would be a flight from Swanley J3 M25...................................well thats the plan anyway. Mike

    Fly-in

Hi Tim, I have been to one flyin before. It can sometimes be intimidating when there are experienced pilots around and you are a newby with low hours. But you are always made welcome and help is always there. Well thats my look on it? Maybe see you there? Mike

    Fly-in

Hi Ian, Been away jet skiing with the family over the bank holiday up near Stamford by Rutland Water.........would of been excellent if i could of flown up there too(any flyers up that neck of the woods?), thanks for the invite though Ian. Yep definately going to the Essex flyin, will probavly camp although its just down the road but it will save the lost time driving up and down each day etc etc. Trying to coax the family to join me but wife doesnt seem that interested (even better!!! ) . Would be good if Andy could make it....even bring his tandem rig...........my son is dying to get a taster what its all about............................unfortunately I havent even enough solo experience . Can you believe that the Essex flyin would be my first flight of this year.....very poor show eh!!!!! So you have a new steed........................bought from Andy? Did yoy manage to fly it then? It will be good to catch up. See you then. I will be up for the whole weekend. Mike

    Fly-in

So who's goung to any of the fly-ins? Mike
  25. Hi whitters, This is the link .. http://www.deeter.co.uk/hlls2.htm It costs peanuts , eight quid I think it runs off 3v-12v what ever you have really (battery holder from Maplins). Fuel resistant!.Just drill a hole in the tank externally whatever level to suit and its fitted externally...........could even fit two to denote different levels? A guy from an Americam paramotor site fitted it together with a small LED light to warn him......................hasn't failed him yet!. After meeting you on the France trip you inspired me to want to go further a field bivouac style, broaden my horizons so to speak! Actually i didnt think of heating the tank to fit?.................ws looking to alter the frame to fit? Duhhh! Good luck on your trip. Mike (two tents!)
