matt_k
Wheres the best place to put mount a tiny tach? I was thinking on my throttle control?
pjenni12
Mine is on the shoulder strap on my miniplane. I wouldn't stick it on the throttle personally as it's a big piece of kit that I only look at very occasionally. Infact it's almost pointless unless you have problems IMHO. tommcb6016
I fitted one when I first started flying because everyone else seemed to. I have since ditched it because I never looked at it! =waste of money But I put it on the throttle cable with tie wraps if that helps. pjenni12
Christ...information overload! I know it depends on the type of flying your doing but I can never understand the need to carry so much stuff. I'm all for the stripped back lightweight approach. iPhone in my pocket is enough for me.
notch
the great thing about a cockpit is it's easy to remove when you don't need it...
irm750
The best place for a tiny tach is in the toolbox/flight box left on the ground. They are OK for setting things up. But I could never get mine to give me a stable enough reading to bother that much with in the air, and I can honestly say that I have managed fine without the extra wiring, complexity and hassle! Best regards, Ian.

irm750
Looks like Auckland's in trouble then if the GPS is linked to the missile system!
