  1. What a beautiful coloured wing (its the same as mine) but mines a 26mtr and I want a 23mtr can anybody help !!!!
  2. the show is getting worse every year.......and Ive been to them all !!! (since) 95......I wouldnt bother if I was just flying paramotors....But I feel I have to go because I still fly microlights..... (Why do I feel this way)..... Every year I say...... Never Ever Again......the parking is expensive and miles away from the hall ......you can get a bus if you a willing to wait ,,and get herded like cattle into them if the driver decides to stop (they dont allways)...the food and drink are expensive on and on and on......I wish I could break the addiction
  3. Like every body else whos replied to this post your Decompessor is not sealing properly..Take it out and give it a clean..also your oil/fuel mix looks oil rich........while you are at it check your spark plug is not fouled up due to the excess oil ......unless you want to practice you emergency landings
  4. I might start a collection of those
  5. This months BHPA Skywings mag makes for some interesting reading ......Accident and incident... reports......out of 36 (reported) incidents my own or my mates not included....I should have 2 of the incidents/accidents involve the slipping of the prusik knot on Paramania gliders......... Am I missing something why do paramania still refuse to do anything about it .......I dont want to be the one to say I told you so ......when somebody gets seriously hurt or worse......But I will.... in fact I feel so strongly about their lack of any responce to me......I am going to contact the CAA ......lets see what they have to say about it......... after all I am a very concerned owner of a fusion 26 (Now Modified)...so its safer.. By the way anybody want to swap it for a 23mtr mines got around 20hrs on it
  6. just goes to show ......a difference of opinion........you dont have to use all the power all the time but its there if you need it...and you are not revving the engine to within an inch of its life..always a bonus....remember if you havent got it you carnt use it...of course wet grass can cause a problem as can gusty conditions....(even walking on wet grass in gusty conditions can lead to a fall ) I know Ive done it....(usually on a short cut back from the pub)
  7. my first flight was with the Rad I went up 73kg ... ...my mate 95 kg went along ! just........after running the whole length of the field 100mtrs + ........there was no climbout the ground fell away my other mate 98kg lifted his legs on the take off attempt and under full power flew it straight into the ground after 15ft the jokes about the strimmer still leave us falling about with laughter....... Out of the three of us who went on the lesson that fatefull day (all those years ago) two of us are SUPER keen today ..... ........and one of us gave up guess which one walked away from the sport..... my advice ( for what its worth ) Get all the power you can........but you dont go to heavy either.... .
  8. I think I may have the record ......Ive done 712mph....ground speed...with my wing ........ (it was in with the luggage) over iran in the jet stream.. does this count......
  9. yes it was the red head......and it was fitted to a pull start .....he has now gone back to the old standard head and had no poblems since....
  10. we need an update......!!!! hows it going.........just a thought my mate put a high compression head on his rad racket engine and its keeps siezing up and putting holes in the piston because its now running much much hotter and can not get rid of the extra heat with the existing fins and cowling,,,,,, do you reckon the honda will be able to handle the extra heat made !! ( I hope it can ) or have you devised a alternative cooling method your not telling us about...maybe reversing the thrust from the propeller blades. and flying backwards clever ehh.....
  11. I go to Scotland tommorow ......for a paramotoring holiday......from my home in Wales problem is I have to go through england to get there .......will I be safe..... I have thought of going via Ireland......
  12. I love it ..........please please keep us informed with this one ...... its what Ive been waiting for.......youve got me all excited
  13. I got mine made up after discussing the problem from Aerofix...who suggested the solution....but it seems customvince is making the split system as well......either person/company could save your life....... I know my life is worth more than £40
  14. well thats that then.......the men at paramania have made the decision..... I just hope nobody gets hurt because of it....... ps I do like the little spiral this graphic is doing If you fly a fusion or a revolution and get your tip steering line caught in your prop it could be you
  15. Any news yet ........on Paramanias thought about this Modification to their wing (to make it safer) on and on and on .....
  16. You will be lucky..... I was supposed to get one when I bought my Fusion ....but didnt.. ...I asked for one via email ..... they said they are out of stock and they still must be because I still have not got one. ......believe that if you will......mind you Ive now got a very nice Skywalk one...
  17. Is this last post before or after I contacted you ????
  18. Pap have agreed to sell me the parts direct.......I am back in action.......But this problem makes me think I need a second stand by motor.....
  19. I was thinking of the Bailey 4 stroke ! Ive never heard of a pap 4 stroke ??? YET ...... My current set up is a Pap ros125 two stroke...........this was not the one that caught fire.... But who knows what the future may bring......
  20. Because of a mistake by the **** manafacturer***** with my first paramotor it caught fire due to the electrics twice !!! since then Ive been a pull start man .......no battery ,no charging, no starter motor. No extra weight..... My perfect Paramotor would be ......Pap chassis......Bailey kick start......with a clutch drive prop.... ...If anybody makes one or puts one together for me youve got a sale.......and no doubt you will sell a lot more as well
  21. Ahh I did not mention its a Ros 125 not a pap.........it was a common fault on the older ones but they reckoned they had sorted the problem on the new ones .......SEEMS not
  22. A Bearing or hydraulic shop ??????......Iam in the North Wales wild west no such thing exists........
  23. The gearbox of my pap is leaking oil onto the clutch.......Ive done the job before on one of my old paps... The only place I can get a oil seal and gasket is from Skydragons........and he is on holiday untill the end on September ????? So I have no back up for spares at all SH*T ..........And it gets worse I am supposed to go on a paramotor tour in Scotland on the 20th Sept Does any know where I can get what I am after........ANYWHERE .....( ps I dont speak spanish only Welsh ) Paraventure has quit being a dealer for Pap..... Also you need a special tool to hold the gear whilst you remove the clutch drum ......I made one last time ( but can I find it since my girlfriend tided up ) No chance...........can anybody sell me one PLEASE
  24. I think I sit somewhere in the middle on this one........its not a nice feeling to have taken off and then wish you hadnt..... But how do you know untill youve done it...... Yes I can cope with all the bouncing around but if Im honest I like it smoooth.......I have before now wished I was back on the ground more than a few times with both with the paramotor and the microlight..... ( ive often asked myself the question why the F**k am I doing this ) and made promises to be a good person if I land safely ... GOD PLEASE LET ME LAND SAFELY Just this once yet I still have to go up when even when I know its going to be a bumpy flight......I dont understand Why ...... After all its not going to hurt one little bit (untill you touch the ground)
  25. I also spoke to the bhpa when the BMAA pulled out of teaching/training ......I told them that I had been helping a few people in my area familiarization (big word) with the wing , ground handling, progressing to small hops without the engine on ......and getting them used to the motor on their back even when safe starting it up to get the feel of the power (PAP ROS 125) .....they never got the chance to wreck my precious gear......then I told them if they wanted to go further they then had to buy there own gear ,,,,and we will then take it further .............................. Some of them did ?........ the responce I got from the bhpa was all negative .....Somebody is being sued right now for doing what you are doing and You will get sued and have to sell your house .....You wouldnt let someone sit in your microlight and waft the wings about and start the engine would you ( I Have ) Ive even let them fly it from the back seat ....... Youve got to jjoin the bhpa to train people I was told ........OH and it will cost you ,,,,,,So much to join ..So much to go on a course...So much to learn to teach ...then this much for insurance.....after that...... I might have had to sell my house to cover all the expenditure they wanted ps Ive been told that the BMAA (allegedly) pulled out of teaching because they were not happy with the training syllabus as it was and gave the people who were carring out instruction on the BMAA"s behalf a period of time to come up with another program..... months later nothing had been done and didnt look like anything was being done .. So they pulled the plug.....
