  1. what about those shoes the kids are wearing with a built in wheel how could anybody tell how you launched it also says foot launched ?? is that one foot or two one of them might have wheels on but not the other,,,,,, what about those grass skis they have tracks not wheels of course I am thinking outside the box but then is that clever or thick
  2. I was not having a go at anybody or any training method.......all training from somebody who is experienced in what they are teaching is a good thing....it might even save lives or accidents.....nobody in their right mind should attempt to fly anything without guidence......I was just trying in my own peculuar way to highlight the fact that paramotoring licences/certificates/ect are not worth the paper they are written on at least in the UK......untill the CAA recognize that particular Body.......I was most upset when the BMMA stopped issuing licences.....I was supposed to go on a instructors course.....But after they pulled the plug I thought why bother....... it all seems such a mess at the moment.......... I really hope you get the recognition your after but remember no flying in wales without a WPL (Welsh Paramotoring Licence)
  3. Ahh I thought so...... As a bit of a laugh and a joke I have been issuing Welsh paramotoring licences for around two years now (it actually looks a lot better than my CAA recognized microlight licence) and on risk will insure me !! So remember that if you fly in Wales you will need one So my point is that our licence is as good as anybody elses..........??? we have even got a training program ? ....and a night rating ? instructors certificate, ? instrument rating the list goes on .....even a trike rating...(but we keep that one underwraps) I wish you well,,,,,,,,
  4. Do the CAA recognise and endorse this training body ?? and can you get insurance to teach other people after gaining a teaching certificate ....
  5. I had 25 liters of cloudy fuel (white) = (water and oil mix) from our local petrol station ......it was only noticed when I started to pour it into my microlight (via a water trap funnel thing).......it turned out the petrol station had 1hr before had a delivery of petrol and it stirred up the rest of the storage tank......apparently it takes a few hours to settle again .....not a big problem in a car ....a big problem in the air ....they refused to replace the petrol....saying it was not ment for aviation use.....Ive not been there since....what else can you do ? the moral of the story...... use a water trap funnel when you fill up if you can and dont use the same petrol station I did
  6. I hope the guy makes a quick and full recovery........makes my stomach turn when I hear of a accident like this ......wonder what caused this .....engine note changed !! followed by a spiral....? hope its not what I think it could be...

I think! I hope I've cracked it.......but what I wanted was a picture on this site instead of somebody else's........? http://s578.photobucket.com/albums/ss221/garyfreefly/IMGP8743.jpg[/img} You do 'eeet like zis M'suer. Log into your Photobucket page, find the picture you want - right click on it. Select 'save image location'. Then come back to your target page here, right click to paste the link. Then highlight the link and then press the 'image' button below (when you are writing the post it is visible with the rest of the formating tools) which will drop the image tags on either end for you. Voila! ATB, Norman (Admin hat on).

  15. I wondered why shagy dec always texts me....... and never calls to talk......I thought he had lost the ability of speech......
  16. Mine have been fitted for around 2 months now .....and have been a worthwhile improvement and as a bonus they actually work it really is quite a tight turn you can achieve combined with some weightshift with no problems at all ... I can say I feel safer because nothing can now get close to the prop......still no word from paramania on this on and on and on
  17. Our cats sleep on the couch........and they still would even if a paraglider was there just imagine that claws out stretch in the morning.........Ive just bought a Skywalk stuff sack,,,,,and its got huge mesh panels in it just for drying the wing out ....the idea is you hang it up .....in the house or garage .......and let the air do its work......
  18. I hate to admit it but Ive done it I took off without my leg straps fastened... I let go of the brakes,,,held my arms wide open this stopped me falling out .....(weightshift bars),,, bent my arms at the elbows took hold of the risers and pulled myself up into the seat.... .I got distracted whilst talking when I was clipping in......I fastened the front mounted reserve and did not notice (because I couldnt see my leg straps) they wernt fastened.......on my new pap system you have to do the leg straps up so you can fasten the rest of it. lesson learnt........I now tell people to shut up on preflight... ...have a behind the head reserve..so so lucky
  19. Spiral dive one will be a handy one .......when replying to the paramania wing tip stearing thread on and on and on
  20. when I use the speed bar......my legs get tired very quickly.....its a pain (well ) in the leg.....at the best of times my legs are not those of a tour de France cyclist.....I dont even run on a powered forward I just get blown into the sky so it got me thinking if there could be a safe system of locking the bar in the fast position....and releasing it at a touch........some type of cleat, or ball in the bottle type of thing.. ...Im working on it....any thoughts on the subject
  21. Still no word from paramania about a recall or a mod about the way that they are telling people to tie the tip stearing line to the stabilis line Just as a matter of interest I wonder what any indepenent testing body ie dulv, en, cen, dhv, ect ect ect, think about this method of securing a stearing line .. I know I keep going on about it but if something could potentially have killed me it needs to be changed...by the manafacturer ....Ive been told I am like a jack russell just keeps on and on and on and on.....
  22. I must congratulate SimonW on getting a responce from paramania....I certainly didnt.....when I contacted them to tell them the problem I was having with the knot slipping...and to say what I had done about it.....but then I was only a punter who is obviously not as important as a dealer ....It was after this none responce I posted a similar message or this forum which I must say has come up trumps in finding a variety of solutions to a very real danger....(Power to the people) it makes me wonder in this culture of everybody suing everybody else Paramania dont cover their backs with this one and change the way the lines are connected to the tip steering...... it really is a great wing.... I wonder if the non english speaking world know about this problem perhaps not that maybe this is where we see our first big accident..I suppose Paramanias responce would be they should have learnt to speak English when they were small
  23. Ps...... that that last post last words should read ( Maybe Knot )
