  1. i so wanted to see some eyes looking out with a kind of WTF!! look on them
  2. i now want to see page 67 all i could imagine is the amount of amputated legs, and a rear spar made up of an extendible frame complete with tail and elevators talk about dynamic flying
  3. nah, i reckon it's something slightly more old school but ultimately more blingy. but that's just my reckoning, we'll have to await the silent one getting back to us with the result.

Just want to thank those of you that have taken us up on the offer and remind those that are thinking about it that it finishes next week. So, don't think too long. 6. Hope you all have a fabulous day. Merry Christmas.
  7. lovely vid, even the 80's porno soundtrack was ok thanks for sharing.
  8. Thanks for posting that mate. I'm certainly not qualified to comment but the only obs i have is that on the ground you're pulling the starter cord more or less horizontal to the ground. Whilst on your back you're obviously pulling up and over the shoulder. Could it be that it's too low on your back? Like I said, I really can't comment and my obs may be totally off whack. But, I also wanted to say I really appreciate you posting it. I think it will be amazingly helpful to a lot of people. thanks
  9. mate, firstly so glad it all eventually sorted itself. looking at the landing all i could think was holy shit i have to find somewhere flatter... you were so lucky. Thanks for sharing the vid, it's never easy to admit when you've made a mistake for fear of looking like an idiot. Truth is We all get ourselves into messes occassionally (they're never planned). The fact you shared the experience is really appreciated. I really am glad you're ok.
  10. Flaming Santa!! poor guy
  11. The enthusiam is great. Keep it up. But realise one thing. It WILL be a long road. If you're going to try ATPL you will need to hour build like crazy and that costs money. If you can get a job doing it then that's a start but the scholarship places are thin on the ground and there are LOTS of applicants. It's the same for the military, they get LOTS of applications and even many those selected will get chopped during their training. As long as you're prepared to work hard, learn lots and keep yourself out of trouble then you're in with as much chance as everyone else. if you just want to go flying? then you're already on the road to getting aloft. If you want to get paid for doing it? Just ensure that you're aware of the journey you are about to embark upon. If this sounds a bit disparaging it's not meant to be. But if you're not aware of just how tough the market is then you'll be heading to disappointment. Study hard, work hard, get good grades, Good luck with all your endeavours.
  12. indeed. It really added a unique aspect to the footage. I've started touting it around the social networks as a reason just to take an interest. thanks again
  13. Enjoyed that Simon, learned loads. The aerial seq's were great. even when you almost scared the bejeezus out of him with the proximity of spidicam to the wall. Thanks for sharing it
  14. reckon this will be a serious contender for the go pro. Wifi will do that i'm guessing coz of the constant beaconing. thanks for the write up Barry, glad you're pleased with it.
  15. nice video Barry, thanks for sharing it. how did you find the setup and use of the camera? is it one of these new fully tango'd up beasties with the wifi and everything?
  16. Thanks for the recommendation (i think) Rob upload speed is a pain for everyone, to put it into some context though. Every provider is subject to the same problem as it's the ISP's who control it and they are focussing on download speeds as of now. an average internet connection will upload a 450K file in about 5 seconds. People's data use is only going to increase and we need to do something to protect it. If folk don't care, that's fine. a second hard disk is something, but we've already had folks telling us that our solution has actually saved them from significant financial and emotional cost. Some of the stories are hillarious. safe skies
  17. good find mate, but use as guidance. Check, Check, Check the NOTAMS. More often than not they won't always follow the operational plan in the link. Lesson learned many a time when photographing low fly in the loop.
  18. the thing with the loop is that it is an official low fly area. other pilots don't really have any entitlements whatsoever. even saying you'll be there isn't enough. The best way is to try and use the are when you know they're not going to be around. Typically weekends (not guaranteed) and long breaks such as christmas etc. You can try and ask (say call ATC at Valley)
  19. Just to remind you that our offer of unlimited backup of 5 SYSTEMS for £40 ends on Friday. That's right if you have Terabytes of data on physically attached drives you can protect them all and gain access to them on any browser from anywhere in the world. Or of course you can save £40, lose your kids pictures and have the benefit of having your missus remind you every 30 seconds
  20. Glad you're on the mend. When the air force got their hands on me they rewarded me with an extra helping of MRSA Get well soon
  21. I went last year. it wasn't worth the effort IMHO. i'll not be going this year.
  22. if you're wondering if we can support people outside the UK? (i've been asked) the answer is absolutely! USA PATRIOT ACT does not apply to us. You may however need to be aware of any legislation that is applicable to you.
