    Here's the last one ...
  2. Nice to see a post from you Stu, glad you are still living in the real world. It's amazing that the Slovenia trip was 2014 - time is such an illusion, as the great man said. Was some superbly great flying had on that trip (but won't forget some of our crappy launch sites too, or the cops ... ). And we all got to meet Igor!! Hope we all get some great flying in this year, maybe see you at one of the PMC fly-ins? There's a choice of several this year.
  3. This is a standard tank.
  4. Just noticed the tank seems to have two fuel line entry points, is one blanked off? All looks a bit odd.
  5. That fuel line below the bulb looks very suspect. Why does it loop back upwards?
  6. I guess one reason is it depends on whether you want to fly in thermals to get some altitude or whether you fly through them on your way somewhere whilst under power. I'm surprised to hear an instructor saying summer is bad for paramotors, it's usually awesome all year round.
  7. Selfish git. Wouldn't turn up out of the blue, unlike the photograph!
  8. We've been talking about the coming year's road trips and this year 'Visit Tony' is high on the list, as in actually do it this year. If we can fit it in around all the fly-ins Simon seems to be organising, of course.
  9. That's really thoughtful. Looks like a great flight mate.
  10. Oh no, not another fly-in to fit into the year. The fun meter will be off the scale!
  11. Maybe make a new post with Santa Cruz in the title, might help them spot you.
  12. Hi Ian, welcome to PMC. Take a look on the member's map to see if there's anyone on there nearby. https://www.paramotorclub.org/membermap/
  13. My usual airspace is shared with Chinooks, fast jets, transport planes and anything else the military decides to use that day. Use notams and fly aware of other aircraft at all times. You can be pretty sure they won't see you first. A torch, or even a strobe, isn't going to make much difference in daylight. Some people avoid flying at round numbers like 500 or 1000 feet. Pick your airspace and fly accordingly.
  14. Wow - really living the dream down there in Cornwall, Tony.
  15. Better send a letter to Santa too. And one to every paramotor pilot who has struggled to buy their kit.
  16. Hi Pete and welcome to PMC. If you're interested then just get on with it. The weather gets in the way but also gives us fabulous windows, especially in the winter. Skydiving is a bit different, especially in that it is over rather quickly whereas you can stay up for hours with PPG if you want to. If you can hook up with some pilots in your area then you will learn a lot by going along when they are flying. YouTube videos are very different to real life, I've seen more than one person buy kit and sell it as soon as they realised there was effort, noise, vibration and a learning curve to deal with. Hang out with some pilots, maybe get a tandem flight (definitely worth travelling for - somewhere Like CMP Paramotors is highly recommended) hang out some more with pilots, learn to ground handle, preferably with a decent school ... Hope you enjoy the jourmney.
  17. Thank you Mr Lee, sorry I didn't have space to include any urinals this year.
  18. And it was even more exciting in the editing suite reliving it repeatedly.
  19. Van and props, vans and ripped tents ...
  20. I had a dink very similar to yours Tony. Like Alan, I used a bit of Araldite, shaped it by eye then went and flew it without any problems. I had it tested several months later and it was perfecltly balanced and flew for several more years (I think it's still in use).
