I bought the garmin emap off ebay, they are a couple years old now but I think they are exellent, big screen, track back loads of other features and not bad for about £70, Alti/Vario I got the flytec 6005 from fly bubble for about £160 again many features that I havent used yet but well pleased with it. good luck Gaz

  5. I have one of those too and it works great after I fixed the problem with the speed-air helmet system! There was a little mod I found on the web, useful if your using it elsewhere other than flying that is to drill a 2mm hole on the the front right next to the 'J' (using just the bit by hand). This reveals the mic pick up that sits behind the cover giving a muffled sound when you transmit from new,now it sounds great! good luck gaz
  6. where in herts you based mate,im in biggleswade but moving to hitchin next month, there is a herts club on this web site Gaz

  11. Hi mate, cant comment on the wings myself but heard good reviews on the revo but I use the pap ros 125 and absolutley love it,light and powerful which is what I wanted,I fly a dudek reaction wing. Good combo in my personal opinion and experience, good luck with choice gaz
  12. I use the ozee(exeat i think!) thermal suit which I bought from the show and is well toasty, the helmet is a speedair(copy of the nac model i think) from ebay.I think a few of us had some issues with it working etc but managed to sort mine out by getting the ear defenders re-wired!! Gloves are a fishing type neoprene again very well and manageable. have fun gaz

BLOODY HELL!! abit of bad luck with that one then,on the other hand i like the 2002 passat 1.9 130bhp 5dr estate, could be a good option, seem to have enough rm with seats folded down and i still could use it as a car too, not forgetting transporting the paramotor gear about! not bad for about £4500?

ouch! as you say it has to happen sometime! badluck though mate,as mercs go i still really like the vitos for the size etc. It wont be a new one mind you but will try and get the best for the money, seen a few on auto trader 3-4 yr old, what sort of mileage is bad? eg my mate has an 98 sprinter with 235,000 on it Is 90-100,000 nothing to worry about then on these vitos? cheers gaz

I looked at the transporter and thought they hold there money well, goes to show if they prove to be that reliable its worth paying the cash, will look into that model,i dont think yours would come in handy with me being a sparky pulling up on site using a winch and a ramp!!
