AdEves
It was truly awesome (but not so awesome at midday when it was bloody wobbly). Sent from Dorset on my iPad probably whilst drinking wine, lying in the sofa using PMC Forum mobile app

Steve
Friday evening was superb here, the best air in ages. Not so good now, back to normal
nigel_d.
Still grinning from yesterday! Best flight this year. Nige
norbertflyer
Awesome air yesterday. Not for the feint hearted though. Got 8m/s up a number times. Bit disappointed with the later evening flights, just bumpy without much lift. Great conditions for the fuel consumption mid afternoon, still didn't hit base. ptwizz
Didn't get out until after midday. By then the thermals were popping off everywhere, causing gusts from all directions. After several failed launch attempts, I decided to leave it rather than risk lines in the prop. But - summer's here and the evening are getting longer. stuartasutherland
I sat in a field on Friday night waiting for the wind to die down. It didn't, so 3 hours later I packed up and went home.
nigel_d.
Richard, that's 1500 ft/min, is that right? I would have been screaming! Nige
paramotormike
Or almost 18mph straight up! (well in circles).
s1buell_wl
8/ms is ripp'n You will be firmly panted in your seat. yes 8 meter/second = 1574.803152 foot/minute Norb with 8's how could you not hit base? You should have got these in less then a min lol
norbertflyer
Yes, a day full of highs and lows due to the conditions. Vario 'off the scale' for 10-15 seconds at a time. Averager (30 secs) max was 4.7m/s on one flight, 4.2 on two others. One flight lasted just 8 minutes because it was too rough. 7 of those minutes was off power and I landed in a different field to the one I took off in! Gusts on the ground were 0 to as high as 24mph recorded, may well have been higher than that. Take off timing was critical, but there were reasonable steady wind periods. Could not get to base due to airspace above and to the NE. Some of my PG friends made personal XC bests on Saturday. Richard
