  1. Doing a little maintenance on my little pap (top80) trying to find the reason for a distinct lack of power. To cut a long story short, I need a genuine reed block to replace the bendy homemade version that currently resides in the intake port. Anyone have a spare lying about. Genuine parts from pap might be difficult as they're now on holiday till 24th Aug Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
  2. To be honest I don't think caravans fly particularly well Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
  3. I do believe I don't have such extra bits on my frame. So theoretically the 13l tank will fit mine. What I don't know is how big my current tank is. but if you want to swap for one that don't leak I'm up for it Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
  4. I was thinking of upgrading the little tank on my pap1100 top80. What's the issue with older style frames? Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app

  6. I'll second chillie, I was a Caa dangerous goods operator in the Raf. Run your engine dry, empty the tank and leave the top off to vent for 24 hours. Then take it to any major cargo company. They will take care of the paperwork and packing and the (up to) $100,000 fine if they get it wrong. If your found smuggling dangerous goods in your suitcase you loose the motor and face a hefty fine. As was someone in February this year. And let's not forget they are called dangerous goods for a reason. I don't want to get on a plane thinking someone had failed to declare a shed load of fertiliser and a loose handful of lithium batteries. would anyone else? 7. That's just missing the retaining spring that holds it all together by the looks of it. Fairly sure I have a bendix in the workshop you can have. And The small spring at the end also has a habit of lunching itself. Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app

  11. Would need some pics to have an idea on difficulty rating Can the starter motor be moved out of the way to slip the belt past? Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
  12. Take the plug out, turn motor till piston bdc. Then stuff a length of cord into the cylinder till it's full. That's about as technical as it gets. the piston will now lock out as you undo the nut , job done Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
  13. Have you checked the reed valves are in good condition and sealing properly? Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
  14. I'm betting DK didn't mill the crank themselves. So it must belong to a 2 stoker from the 90's . Get yourself to a good old fashion bike breakers and talk to the bearded bloke who smells of old holbourn. Bet you he knows exactly what it came from. And might even have one hidden at the back of the workshop. cost a few jugs of cripple cock to take it off his hands though Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
  15. Like mentioned on Facebook lets hope it's a case of mistakenly packed away in someone else's kit Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app

  17. I've not long sold a fly castile, thing! And I don't recall the ends of the arms being bent in towards the body. They should be parallel with the frame when the strap is done up. Giving a little extra room. Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
  18. PilotnoteZ . Do you drive a car? Was your instruction carried out over an Internet forum or by a driving instructor sat next to you? My personal advice for Michael would be to wait for personal tuition from his instructor. Forum advice is just that. All views from the forum should be taken with caution. And it is certainly no replacement for leaning the first stages in the field with at least a seasoned pilot to guide and correct any bad habits from the outset. 22. Loose threads I would worry about, but all these threads look like normal ends the actual stitching looks tight. That said, I've never noticed the stitching on my wing, might have a look later :-0 Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
  23. The WG8 carb has adjustable low needle only, therefore if you needed the jet open to 3 turns for normal running it means your high jet is Blocked ! Hence the lean mixture and the holed piston. Strip the carb down and clean before using again. Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
  24. The stitching has to start and end somewhere Sent from my iPhone using PMC Forum mobile app
