Here is a cheap estate car bike rack from argos - perfect for the job and I just added number plate as lights are still visible. I have added a strap from the paramotor to my roof bars after the picture was taken. Works really well. I have bought a £12 BBQ cover to fully cover it when i think it might rain.

RIP A paramotor pilot has died after a crash in Lancashire. Emergency services were called to a field off Garstang road in Pilling at 1:00pm this afternoon (Sunday 3rd December). The man in his 50s was taken to Royal Preston hospital where he died. His family have been informed and an investigation is underway.

How addictive is paramotoring?
Shorehambeach replied to supre nerd's topic in General paramotor discussion
It's pretty addictive - there are more addictive sports to do but not many ! -
Want to cross-over to power
Shorehambeach replied to Mark Pugh's topic in Newbies ( want to fly a paramotor? )
Mark. I see the same old paramotor tat on Ebay each week. There are several important factors in choosing a motor and wing - factors that will probably determine whether you will take off /take up / keep up the sport. Its great you've got coins and stuff but life is about choices - i'd like a stash of silver coins but my preference is to fly. If taught properly, and with the right equipment, Paramotoring is a relatively safe sport. Much safer than others. The idea that someone would rent you their equipment is probably unrealistic - why would they for such a small return to someone who is just putting their toe in the water. Perhaps get more lessons - get 20 flights under your belt - then decide. Good luck -
Want to cross-over to power
Shorehambeach replied to Mark Pugh's topic in Newbies ( want to fly a paramotor? )
Mark. Quick question. Why did you learn knowing you couldn't afford the kit ,? -
Does any one else daisy chain their lines ? I find it work well but does anyone else have a better way to stow the lines ? When I get the wing out i simply hold the risers - walk backwards and everything is there - untangled - ready to go.... Starts @ 2.43

Nathan. The octane levels are different here in the UK . We have regular 95 Octane (which I use in my Top80) and High Octane 97.

One for the experienced pilots please..... This field runs (example in picture but not actual field ) from North (trees in view) to South . The top section is relatively flat so i can land on the flat section if the wind is in the right direction so ok if its no wind or N or S. With a Westerly I can launch down the nice slope....... and land on the down slope... Tricky one (as i see it) is with an Easterly wind i will have to run uphill during take off and land uphill which isn't good for the ankles or your inbuilt glide scope. Are there techniques for this type of scenario / IE - Don't fly when there is a Easterly ? Or Slide it in on ya bum etc etc ? Will i be able to do an uphill launch ? Thanks !

How best to approach land owners
Shorehambeach replied to Shorehambeach's topic in General paramotor discussion
Andy What did you say when you approached him ? How much do you pay ? -
What's the best way to approach land owners regarding using their land ? Best ways to identify land ? What to pay ? How best to explain paramotoring ? Thanks.

Agreed but If i am not going to use it I'd rather not have to tuck it away each time - it's one more thing to think about plus - if we ever get nice weather - no where to tuck it in !

Yes - managed to connect the MicroAvionics to Bluetooth connector by getting an adaptor from Ebay (via Italy) Incidentally - I have the same set up - Icaro Helmet and PM100. I am having a connector fitted to the spare cable (the cable for the traditional radio) so I can detach it rather than having to tie it up. Not cheap but i don't like the idea of the cable getting free !

Interphone F5MC integration
Shorehambeach replied to Shorehambeach's topic in Paramotor Radio / Comms
The answer is simple. The Avionics PM100 becomes BLUETOOTH by using a connector cable available form Italy on ebay called F5MC 3.MMM CONNECTOR Simples ! -

Should I let friends train me on foot launch?
Shorehambeach replied to Solstice's topic in General paramotor discussion
1.Have a correctly loaded reserve. 2. Know how and when to use it. 3. 1&2.
