  3. Hi Dan. Sorry I didnt get back to you, got tied up. Yes had a great flight over to the Malverns. Average speed out was 21mph with 27mph on the way back. Managed 37mph a few times with speed bar. A big front was on the other side of the Hills so I returned sharpish. Didnt want to get caught up in that! Catch you next time. All the best Mikey

  7. I'm maybe one of the few who bought an Iphone because a particular app became available to me for my work. Its called Signal Scope. (its costs too). But it works very well to anaylse audio frequencies. I too think its a icon thats captured the imagination of the public but actually has had to go through many new versions before it has all the basic features many other phones have had for years! Still its still the best implimentation of touch screen I have seen so far. Mikey
  8. Great, thanks Jock. If weather OK, what time and where exactly on Monday? Dan has my number I think. Cheers Mikey

  13. I have noticed the best thing to stop back problems is to warm up before putting on or lifting the paramotor. As they weigh around 30 to 40 kilos all fueled up with reserve and flight deck etc, its quite a weight to lift without being carefull. Any teaching gym will instist on warm up exercises before lifting. On a cold day outside, this is even more important. If you feel the back twinge at home or before flight think real carefully about lifting it. Thats when your back goes. Cheers Mike
  14. Hi Guys. Unless I am missing something the Nucleon passed EN C rating in June this year. From Dudek website. Nucleon 29 with EN C 2009-06-24 14:40 29 m2 Nucleon has just passed the certification as an EN C paraglider. Soon we will have the 25, 27 and 31 certified as well. Mikey

  17. Hi Just got back from work. I am away for a lot of the year, so, if I take a place, then I will be stopping someone else flying more than me. I wonder if I could get a restricted site permision to fly ? I have proof of my time away, so not trying to pull a fast one. Anyone able to contact the site for me? Or pass the phone number on? Cheers Mikey

  20. Hey Freddie. If your short (like me - 5ft 7) then look at the Custom Air motor. Fantastic for us shorter guys. http://www.custom-air.co.uk/ UK company too! The one with the Black Magic engine is very light! Cheers Mike
  21. Hi Alan. Missus is great TA. How you getting on with the Fusion? Great wing isnt it! Simon mentioned how you have to be careful with speed bars and motors. Thats 3 misshaps I've heard of recently. I managed a ground speed of 53mph a few weeks ago (downwind of course). It was just about strong enough for a reverse launch, but wind sheer must have been high that day. That was on almost full speed bar. Cant quite get full speed bar with my little legs.... Dan, dont forget the Nucleon from Dudek in your list of wings. Cheers Mikey
  22. Hi Dan. Something that interests me with a new wing is how much speed is available with trimmers only. Some companies like to have a lot of extra speed on the speed bar, but thats a pain flying XC with speed bar on for a long time. I think Apco build a lot into the speed bar. Also there is all the extra bits dangling ready to trip you over or get caught in the props etc. Reaction TST is a great wing, but the Synth is faster when both are used without speed bar. I am the same weight all up as a mate of mine and I have to use a bit of speed bar to keep up when he is on full trims out. What I would like to know is the real non-speed bar speeds of the GT, Fusion and Nucleon with the same set-up. Cheers. Mikey PS: My customer Air Cruiser is still superb!
